This is one of my go-to spots and it should be yours too if you are looking for the best fish soup in town. This is the perfect meal to a cold day, to clear your sinuses, or just to eat something that tastes sooo good and will fill you up. The fish soup is well seasoned, large chunks of fish and veggies, and served with a side of rice and toasted buttery bread. This fish soup always hits the spot. My wife sometimes orders the buttered fish, or battered fish, and both are delicious. Served with with mashed potatoes or thin-cut fries (we prefer the fries), and a side salad, you'll definitely get full. Even the kids meal fish and chips plate is enough to feed an adult. They could improve on the flavor of their tartar sauce, and sometimes the salsa is a hit or miss, but the delicious (and free) chips and ceviche more than makes up for that. read more

Senor Fish - Best fish soup in town! - Mexican Near Me - El Paso, Texas

Best thing about this place is the salsa and the drinks. The service was not bad. The inside of the restaurant outdated.

Pretty delicious spot for tilapia!! I was unsure about this place at first but since it was a Saturday for their fish soup special ( PLUS my husband was feeling adventurous for once lol) we decided to try it! Only 6$ for a bowl of soup with bread. Not bad! I was definitely feening for that mexican, tomato based soup with seafood that time too, or at least with fish. The soup flavor was right on point! It had that savory taste and excellent chunks of fish. It also came with a side of rice which was also really good. The fish tacos were good too but a lil bit too greasy breading for tacos. Very generous portion and sized tacos though! The batter tasted bland so it needed the pico or any other flavoring available. Overall, not too bad! I wouldnt mind coming back for the soup special again. read more

I'm giving this place a 4 star, they missed the 5 start, due to a bland piece of fish & tomatillo salsa, and the credit card fee. This was my 1st time, as I had been craving Black Bass, ever since Julio's stopped serving it several years ago. This place is small, nothing fancy. I've heard this place has been here forever, it's next door to T-Coasters. There was so much to choose from, so I had to try the black bass. You can have it grilled, fried, or I think baked? Well whatever, I asked for it fried. Before you get your meal they give you tostadas, and a bowl of tomatillo salsa, not spicy, no salt, and surprised it was warm. And you get a choice of clam chowder or a cup of fish soup. I asked for the fish soup, it was ok, small pieces of fish with tons of bay leaves, some squash, carrots, in a tomato consame. They also bring you buttered toast with the soup, I didn't eat the bread! We also ordered the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. Monday and Tuesday it's on sale for 6.95. It's a big glass, filled with tons of shrimp, cilantro, avocado slices, and lettuce? That was strange, but, all good, again it was lacking in spice, plus pepper. Had plenty to bring home for tomorrow's lunch. Here comes the food! Steve ordered the fried fish, which was Pollack, and it comes with mashed potatoes and rice. He said it was good, but they over did it with the rice. My fried Black Bass was not greasy and the receipt said it was 20 ounces for about $14.65. It just lacked flavor, had to throw in salt & salsa. Took my time eating it, as it is a very bony fish. Tiene espenillas! It came with mashed potatoes and rice. I can't eat rice or mashed potatoes, but, wanted to try it for the experience. I had 3 bites of the potatoes, very delicious and plenty of pepper, and no lumps! I had 2 bites of the rice and it was also good! Would I come back? Yes, but order something different, maybe fajitas, or ceviche? Oh and bring cash, this place will make you cover the service fee credit cards company charge them. It's a small percent, but still, it is tacky, and very rare for a company to do this to its consumers. read more

On my last trip out to El Paso my girlfriend and I decided to try Senor Fish for the first time. The meal started with complimentary chips, which I am also a fan of, and a really tasty warm jalapeno dipping sauce. It was good. We got a pretty good fish soup as an appetizer to each of our meals. I ordered fish tacos which were okay. Being from California, I'm used to more flavors and spicing in my tacos including guacamole, cream sauce and salsa. These included a cream sauce and avocado, but they were missing something. A little plain for my taste. My girlfriend ordered Fish Vera Cruz that was pretty good. I think a lot more flavorful than my fish tacos. I would probably order her dish again. The service was good, and the people were nice, but I just couldn't get over the fish tacos. I would probably be willing to try another dish if I get a chance, but there are so many other choices in El Paso. read more

My friend Joe, loves the taco at Señor Fish. I went for the VeraCruz. The VeraCruz had shrimps and fillet of Tilapia. The free bowl of ceviche was also good. We requested for additional chips, they were good with the spicy salsa. Service was fast. The serving size was appropriate with the price. A wheelchair will have difficulty navigating the path toward the restroom. Some tables are closely situated near the entrance of the restroom. The restroom was clean, and has the mandatory grab bars and is ADA compliant. Plenty of free parking in front of the Señor Fish. Ambiance: Casual dining Credit cards: Yes Decor: Good Food: Very good Noise level: Conversation is easy Price: $ Parking: Private lot Service: Fast, courteous Overall satisfaction: Very good Señor Fish Barley Square 9530 Viscount Blvd # 1A El Paso, TX 79925 (915) 598-3630 notary01 read more

Small dining establishment with maybe 12-15 tables. When we arrived, there were two parties seated, but more than half of the tables were dirty and there were dishes everywhere. Had to move a tub of dirty stuff to get a high chair. Service was decent for what's expected. The salsita and fish served in a small dish were good. The fish soup was extremely tasty. My hubby and I ordered the XL shrimp cocktails. I'm 90% certain they use fake shrimp, and they served lettuce inside the cocktail as a filler, LAME Make sure to bring cash because they charge 4% for plastic. All in all, it was ok. Don't think we'll be returning though. I'd rather spend $40 elsewhere. read more

Awesome experience! Awesome food! Awesome customer service! It is a small place, easy accommodated to our large party. Served us quickly and got our food out to us fast. The place hasn't been updated in a while but it's so clean. Just an awesome place to find! read more

We had the 7 mares fish soup, pretty disappointing cause it barley had any flavor. Our kids had a quesadilla that wasn't even really warm and the cheese wasn't melted, definitely not worth $10!!! I had the shrimp tostadas, it had a really weird flavor to it, not sure if it was old oil that got used on the tostadas or that weird brownish soupy liquid that was on the shrimp mix. Service was terrible as well and we had to wait forever in a empty place. Don't try and use their restroom either it was disgusting. We definitely never return again! read more

I really wanted to like this place and if I'd done this review after the appetizer it would have been 5 stars. Unfortunately it went down hill from there. We ordered the Cocteles soup and French bread appetizer which is... Shrimp cocktail, choice of fish soup or clam chowder, buttered French bread Shrimp Cocktail Five Stars Fish soup 4 1/2 Stars Then the entree came. I had ordered shrimp tacos. Now the picture on the menu looked very appetizing what came was not. There was no description of the tacos on the menu just "shrimp." From the picture I expected grilled shrimp. What I got was a soggy, salty mess of three overstuffed tacos in a kinda Cajun sauce instead of four reasonably filled tacos. I was only able to stomach one. Now, I don't like very salty food, if you do, you might enjoy these more. The flavor wasn't terrible just way too salty and soggy for a taco - had to be eaten with a fork. Instead of the fresh avocado, lettuce and tomato shown on the menu, the only thing that accompanied them was a small bowl of mashed potatoes -- yeah that's right mashed potatoes??? Shrimp tacos 2 Stars They also served chips, warm green Salsa (**) and ceviche. The cavichi had a good flavor but tasted like it was made with canned tuna. Still it was pretty good. Four stars Service Just ok. Now I will say this, the shrimp cocktail was good enough that I will probably be back to give this place another shot. The shrimp ceviche tostadas looked really good - wish I'd ordered those. read more

The food was disgusting. The shrimp was so gross. The shrimp looked like it came from someone's a**. The food look and tasted expired, restaurant was dirty, no napkins, and The employee or manager did not help me or refund my money. Don't come to this place. Not worth your money and their service and food sucks.. read more

Best place for seafood. The service is ok, but the food is awesome. The price is also very affordable, they have great specials and you will be satisfied. They serve salsa and chips, the plates come with either clam chowder or fish soup, can't go wrong with either they're both super delicious. You also get a basket with toasted warm bread. I can't say enough, the plates are generous and I'm never disappointed. read more

Senor Fish - Delicious shrimp cocktail! - Mexican Near Me - El Paso, Texas

Amazing and world class Mexican seafood. The fish soup will cure the nastiest of hangovers and tastes DELICIOUS! My favorite dish is the Filete ala Diabla which is so delicious, my Dad and I HAVE TO HAVE IT at least once a week. Owner only uses sustainable pollack for filets, not nasty farm raised tilapia like all the rest. You can taste the difference. 100% recommended! read more

I got the shrimp cocktail and it was awful !!!!!!The shrimp was not cleaned. I could she it's digestive tract . The place was not clean and the service was ok . The atmosphere is like a 70's fish shack . It's dated and it smells weird. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE!! read more
