One of the best food experiences in El Paso. Must visit! This restaurant really shows its dedication and love for food. From service to quality of the food was on point! You will thank me later

This is one of those food that you'll keep talking about it after you eat. Wow, hidden gem in El Paso

Croquetas Gobernator delicious

Wonderful culinary experience tonight. I was immediately greeted and seated. Chantal/Issa was my server. Extremely friendly and helpful explained dishes and unique ingredients. Attentive. I started with a shrimp zarandeado taco. Served on housemade blue corn tortilla. Good sized shrimp cooked perfectly. Flavorful combination. Next I had the Croquetas Gobernator. Crispy exterior with shrimp, poblano magic inside set atop a delicious sauce. Ended with Aguachile Negro. WOW flavor explosion! I have never eaten this dish before. I loved it. Right amount of shrimp, octopus, and scallops. Lime and chile left my taste buds happy and craving more. I also tried 2 cocktails both were awesome: The Queen elevated margarita Old Fashioned MX mezcal Elevated, unique Mexican cuisine you won't find anywhere else. I wish I lived here to become a regular. Locals come support this gem The love and pride put into the food and establishment shines.

Fancy restaurant with a different take on Mexican food. The ambiance here was very nice. Service was excellent and the food was delicious! The red snapper was especially amazing! It comes with a side of delicous rice. The flavors on the fish was phenomenal! Definitely try the fish! It's enough to share between two people if you get some starters. The calamari and ceviche was also good but the fish stole the show.

Good food

You need to experience for yourself. Good food good atmosphere. Tecates are sold here but beer is not needed. The food is the real reason to come here.

Octopus tartare

Let me start with the positive. The food is extraordinary, the chef / owner is in the kitchen crafting every dish that was sent out. I had the octopus tartare and the arroz a la tumbada. The octopus was super tender and the blue corn tostada was a perfect accompaniment. The rice dish was, hold on, better than a paella. It was spicy and full of delicious seafood. The service was great as well, very attentive and on their game.

The best high-end, made from scratch Mexican cuisine in El Paso, not your run of the mill offerings. Delicious dessert offerings and appetizers. From the moment you enter, you're greeted personally by the manager. The music is contemporary, and the specialty coctails keep you coming back. I've visited several times with friends and for family celebrations.

Yo. This place is insane. Pricey, sure, as many good things in life end up being. I live in Southern California and have not had Mexican food like this before. Not to sound dramatic but the aguachile was a spiritual experience for me. They have a great happy hour (huge for me), and their margaritas are made to order. Hector was phenomenal, granted it was slow but still took great care of me and the chefs in the back know wtf they're doing. The skull pictured is effectively a QR code for the menu but you just tap your phone against it and it pops up. A nice futuristic touch on an overall amazing experience. And fwiw, happy hour goes until 7 and they have it on Mondays too, per Hector. Food didn't last long enough to photograph, sorry! Eat here asap

Elevated Mexican cuisine. Excellent service and very unique, delicious dishes! Perfect for a date night.

My partner and I stopped in El Paso for a night and ate here for dinner. The food and service was incredible. The aesthetic of the restaurant was really awesome. We met one of the owners and he was super friendly and personable. Highly recommend!

Golden pork belly served with a classic manchamanteles mole, and pear confit. Garnished with micro-cilantro, and tierra de Puerco.

Absolutely awful service. No sign that says wait to be seated. We sat and got completely ignored by a pompas supervisor.

Okay, I do not say this lightly. But I may just have had the best tacos I've ever had in my life! I…read morewas looking around for a taco place in El Paso and this one popped up. Had multiple thousand Google reviews and they were all close to five stars. So I knew I had to check it out. It was super close to my hotel, so I popped in the car and found it without trouble. Trouble. Again, there is pretty limited parking so it's kind of hit and miss whether you'll find a spot or not. Fortunately, I did. When you walk up to the place, the building itself is pretty nondescript. They have a nice selection of outside seating, and your window to order is outside. Very nice lady at the counter gave me helpful suggestions and so I ordered three tacos and an amazing lime and cucumber fresca. Went in and sat down inside and was pleasantly surprised by the interior. It definitely had more of an upscale bar vibe to it than a Taco shop. The waiter that brought out my tacos told me that it turns into more of a nightclub after hours. I may have to go check that out. The tacos themselves were absolutely off the chain! The tortillas were blue corn and everything on it tasted so fresh and so wonderful. The carnitas was fantastic, the brisket Taco was to die for and the blackened shrimp Taco was one of the best I've ever had. Had. The flavors were so balanced and on point, it was one of the most satisfying taco experiences I have had!! I will probably hit this place up a couple more times before I leave El Paso. If you are in El Paso, you probably already know about this place. But I'm telling you what you cannot go wrong for tacos and that lime/ cucumber fresca! Bottom line? It's about 10 hours drive from Las Vegas to El Paso. And this Taco shop will give me a great reason to do a road trip anytime. Do yourself a favor and go check this place out!

Every visit has been a great experience with flavorful food, refreshing drinks, and a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The tacos are simply AMAZING and you can truly taste the quality in every bite. Definitely one of El Paso's must-visit taco spots!

I bumped it up to four stars for the super friendly service and the excellent aguas frescas. We got there late, about an hour before closing and they were literally trying to get rid of the aguas for free. I guess they have to dump it if they don't use it all. It was close to our hotel so we gave it a try. Portion sizes are good. The taco platter comes with six tacos! I had the flautas Chinampa which came with four beef flautas, beans, rice, and salad. I forgot, the taco platter even came with a baked potato. Prices were excellent. We had gone to McDonald's in the morning and spent more. They also cave us frijoles charros for free. Not sure if this was standard or if they were also trying to get rid of it. I would return for the service and the convenience, but if you're looking for life changing Mexican cuisine, it's not here. What you get is a good amount of decent food at a good price served by great people.

I only had one day but when i come back in town , I would eat here again.

As I've explained to many of the locals there's a huge difference between New Mexico and Mexican food. I figured while I was in town visiting family for the holidays I'd check it out. Walking in I was surprised to see a full salsa bar that you can help yourself to a wide variety of salsas to choose from. We ordered a quesadilla, and some tacos. I started with the quesadilla. Boy do I love a good quesadilla! It was a love at first bite! The cheese was just oh so right. It was heaven between two tortillas. I quickly moved in on the tacos. I added some of the cilantro, green salsa, lime, and onions. The salsa was a little spicy but I savored every bite! It was a quite a delight! I gotta hand it to these guys, they make some great food! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town!

Beans and rice on the side are optional / modest extra charge - they are usually very good and worth adding if you're hungry enough. My favorite sauce is the Chipotle. It's got heat as it's also creamy...I would call it medium (I like spicy food.) If you're getting them to go, you might want the sauce and toppings on the side. They usually ask about that, but occasionally they might forget. Service is usually friendly and efficient even when they are busy. Your food is made to order, so it's fast but not instantaneous. Allow 5-10 minutes for pickup most of the time. The dining room is medium-sized. I would say it's a place to eat and go, not stay and linger.

We ordered the flautas with chipotle sauce and the chilaquiles with half red and half green sauce. The chilaquiles were absolutely amazing. We added a runny egg since we couldn't do chicken, and it gave the dish extra flavor and a good boost of protein. The flautas (which I'd honestly describe more as taquitos dorados) were crunchy and tasty. We liked the chipotle sauce that came with them, but we actually loved dipping them into the chilaquile sauce even more. Overall, it was a great spot to grab breakfast before hitting the road again for many more hours. Highly recommend!
