My wife is an Asian buffet fan. Thus I get to eat at a lot of them. This one compares well to our favorite in NJ. The sushi bar is very good. The Kani salad is worth a try here. The selection of Asian entrees is large but not overwhelming. Taste above average (for a buffet). Good desserts. One thing I didn't like was that the food got cold in a hurry: perhaps the steam table is hot enough. One thing I never saw in NJ buffets was the pho bar. So that's a plus. Eh... My partner and I went in for dinner around 5ish. Their fried crabs were tasty. I don't think they have white rice (I didn't see any). I'm a little disappointed with their food temperature it was either cold or room temperature (I like my food warm/hot). My partner got some French fries- it was so stale, and it looks like they retried it, or used old oil?? Same thing with the fried egg rolls/spring rolls. I ate one of their pork egg rolls there was barely if any meat inside... Maybe I'm really really picky about my food but I think it would've been better if they were at least warm... Not to mention I kind of starved myself to go to this place with my partner lol. Anyway, I think I'll give this place another chance (in a few months)... My family makes it a tradition to come here every time children have a birthday coming up. Their food and prices are pretty good considering the large variety of food here. Tons of seafood on the weekend nights for sure, fresh sushi, decent deserts, fried frog legs (though they may sound crazy) are a must for me every time! Service was pretty standard. The only two drawbacks were 1) some low-rent patrons complaining to get something free, getting "ghetto" (west 50, what do you expect?)... I actually saw a woman wearing a shower cap slapping a 2 year-old in the face outside the restaurant! (Yes, I told her I was going to call the police). And 2) because there are so many foods out on display, some dishes have completely died under the lights. Not bad. Lots of choices and seemed to be clean. I went with my daughter and her two young children. The booths were bouncy and every time the person behind us sat down it threw us into our table. I was hard pressed to keep my 3 yr old grandson sitting still so as not to bounce the people behind us. There was one item I was going to get, but by the time I got to the bar, it had been replaced with something else. They have a sushi bar and the atmosphere is quite charming. The kids loved the fountain and pond by the front. Food was standard Asian buffet fare. There was also a chef in back preparing special to order dishes. We just had the buffet, so did not try that. I would go again, maybe sit at a different booth. I would recommend them for a fast lunch or dinner with lots of choices. The bar is kept filled and clean. Super nice owners and staff, the food is excellent and fresh. We went with five family members all adults. The restaurant just re-opened and the food is as good as it was prior to the "lost year". They were quite busy and we love that for their sake and because the food is always fresh too.A great night for us all. We will of course return. First off, wish I could rate this 3.5 instead of just 3 stars. Anyways, the original Crazy Buffet that use to be in Altamonte was the best! This one, however, does a good job as a clone. It's a whole new restaurant that has the same name and same concept, but falls a little short. The variety of food there was remarkable; sushi, standard Chinese items, hibachi grill, pho, seafood, dim sum, and a plethora of desserts. However, the taste is where it suffers. For a Chinese buffet in Orlando, it's one of the better ones, but overall it lacks. Most of the food I had was dry or overcooked, including items that were freshly cooked. I did really enjoy the salt & pepper whole fried shrimp though, almost as good as the way my family made them! The sushi there wasn't the best grade of fish, but it was still good. My dislikes about the sushi were that they use cream cheese in most of their rolls, other rolls were variations of a California roll, and no Nigiri. The staff was very friendly to my friends and I, always had our drinks refilled and quickly got drinks for my friends who showed up later. I'm giving Crazy Buffet 5 stars taking into consideration that it's a medium-priced Asian buffet. Inside is a nice, large, area and it's pretty clean. Their sushi bar is really nice and has a lot of variety. The food is good too, and not excessively oily. It also has a pho and hibachi bar, which I didn't try but looks good. Like you can expect from buffets, food isn't very hot, and things like spring and egg rolls weren't crispy. I do notice that they change their food and walk around to make sure it's ok. The service is pretty good as well. Today I went in for lunch, but they have awesome seafood selections for dinner. I ended up doing a google search and found this place with 4 star reviews. I have eaten at places that are 3 or even 2 stars because most chinese places are, so I gave this place a chance. The location and atmosphere was pleasant. I am used to not so pretty areas and typical chinese decor, so the small change was great. The food was fresh, hot, and readily available as the floor had several severs making sure the food was filled, hot, and appeasing. There is a sushi bar, a hibachi, and a pho bar (a new option that I have never seen). Plenty of options for even the most picky eater to choose from. I've been to a lot of buffets, like A LOT. Most have old food and barely any sushi but when I went here they were putting new batches up, maybe it was just our luck. My mom had the oysters which she complained were not cleaned properly and had sand in it. The sushi was good, the sashimi was ok; it was pretty watery didn't get much of a fish taste from it.
