They also forgot the bag of bean sprouts/lime/cilantro/jalapeños for the second bowl of pho. But, with only two pho spots in the high desert, can beggars be choosers? Vibes were nice inside though, with a lounge area with a stage for performances that you can also eat at while chillin' on some really comfy couches and chairs. It was delicious. It was a banh mi sandwich that is not just one of those, "It's good for a small town," but really genuinely good and well-prepared. The sandwich was about $13, if memory serves. Whatever sauce they had on it was also delicious, and the sandwich was filling. The restaurant is a very large, airy, comfortable space in back of Rite Aid and Aldi, and is a pleasant space. The place also has coffee, bagels, croissants, bagel sandwiches, poke, and pho, along with numerous kinds of tea (milk tea, Thai tea, Matcha tea). The pho and bagels I saw other people eating looked delicious. The people who worked there were very friendly.

We ordered the super burrito, the chorizo breakfast plate, and the combination plate with the chile relleno and the guacamole taco. Overall, the food was just fine. However, our refried beans were burnt tasting, which wasn't great. The guacamole also had an excess amount of limes in it but the corn shell was fried and had a good taste to it. The chile relleno was generous in size, which is probably why they limit you to one per combination plate. But overall, we thought the food was pretty good, especially the chips and salsa, which was fresh. There is plenty of parking and this place has a diner-like feel to it with plenty of seating. But overall, the food was just fine and the service was a little bit on the slower side.

They put beans on the cheese. My boyfriend ordered the fajitas with shrimp, beef, and chicken. The shrimp was decent, not the best I've had but still tasty. The food took a little bit of time to be served but it seemed freshly made. They also serve chips and salsa. The salsa was not too spicy. Seating: plus size friendly. They have booths and tables. Next time we stay in Joshua Tree we will definitely be back here.

From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with a warm and friendly atmosphere that immediately made me feel comfortable. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and you could tell they genuinely cared about providing a great dining experience. The quality of the sushi was outstanding. Every piece was incredibly fresh, with the fish tasting clean, rich, and perfectly prepared. The rice was seasoned just right--not too sweet, not too sour--and had the perfect texture to complement the fish. You can really tell that the chefs take pride in their craft, paying attention to every detail in presentation and flavor balance. I especially enjoyed the specialty rolls, which were both creative and delicious. They had a great combination of textures and flavors, and nothing felt overcomplicated or overwhelming. Even the simpler items like nigiri and sashimi were top-tier, which says a lot about the quality of their ingredients. Another highlight was the consistency. Whether it was the appetizers, sushi, or even the drinks, everything was done well. The menu also offers a good variety, so there's something for both sushi lovers and people who might be trying it for the first time. On top of that, the cleanliness of the restaurant and the overall ambiance made the experience even better. It's a place you can come to relax, enjoy great food, and have a good time with friends or family. Overall, I highly recommend this sushi restaurant. If you're looking for fresh, high-quality sushi, excellent service, and a welcoming environment, this place is definitely worth visiting. I will absolutely be coming back again.

We got some salmon which was pretty tough and dry. I'm not super impressed with this place, but it's decent with huge portions. Next time I'll probably skip the salmon. The space inside is roomy and spacious, if a bit industrial with harsh lighting. Otherwise, it was fine for a meal.

It was Easter Sunday, so I was impressed with how smoothly everything went despite our large group. Our server, Carlos, was fantastic. He was friendly, patient, and incredibly accommodating, even offering to split our check into several smaller bills without hesitation. That made things so much easier for our group, and was very much appreciated. I ordered a horchata and the asada burrito, which hit the spot after a couple of days on the trail. Around the table, friends ordered a variety of combo platters, including tacos and enchiladas, and everyone seemed happy with their meals. The food was satisfying, the portions were generous, and the service stood out. If you're looking for a convenient, locally owned Mexican restaurant after a day exploring Joshua Tree or passing through Yucca Valley, Las Palmas is a great option.
