First off when you walk in you're greeted with big smiles and welcoming energy. There aren't any bells and whistles when it comes to dining. It's a super super chill place for sure. But I grabbed my food to go anyways. I didn't get a ton to eat but I tried the chicken wings and the red beans and rice. These wings are some of the best wings I've head in there area. They're saucy, juicy and cooked well. I do wish they were a little more crispy and since my wings were jerk, they should've had way more spice than they had. It's a good things they were still tasty!!! The red beans and rice were ok and I feel they could've had a tad more seasoning but they weren't totally bland just to be clear. The kool aide was delicious and made how most would love it and that's sweet! All and all k would've really gave it a 3.7 which rounds up to a 4.

Fried chicken, collard greens and Louisiana hot sauce. YUM!!!!!

I've been meaning to come here on fried chicken Fridays for a while. It did not disappoint. Very very good comfort food. I had leg and 2 thighs, collard greens and plenty of Louisiana hot sauce. Served fresh and piping hot. The service was on point and everyone was so nice and courteous. I'll be back for gumbo. I believe it's the first and third Sundays that they do gumbo. I can't wait as gumbo is hard to find in California. Especially in the desert.

Pure deliciousness: Kool Aid, dinner roll, smothered pork chop with mashed potatoes & home made gravy, and Mac n cheese!!!

They don't call it soul food for nothing! I came in on Soul Food Sunday, and was informed by my gracious waitress, Tara, of the special of the day: smothered pork chop with mashed potatoes and green beans! I asked if I could substitute the green beans for some Mac n cheese, and boy did that whole meal touch my soul! Each bite made me stomp my feet and want to hug somebody! My eating experience with the wonderful & hospitable environment with Tara, Ebony, and Manny conversing with me made me want to cry tears of joy! I'm seriously going to take a nap now Definitely will be coming back and looking forward in trying other meals they have to offer! God bless us all!

On a Wedneday, A friend and I saw wing N It when looking for a spot for lunch. We were greeted and sat at a booth, there were folks having their lunch. Our waitress was very gracious and ensured we were made aware of the specials of the day, as she walked us through the menu while giving us insight on the freshness of the food when served along with the favorite dishes. We ordered the hush pupies, which were crispy but moist with very good flavor...The food came out quickly. We decided to do the special with two sides. Wings, fried to perfection Dusted lightly not over fried or dried out. Yummy and adicting, you couldnt have just one or two. Way tasteir than that chain version of wings. We ordered a lemon pepper sauce and Buffalo ranch on the side. Our sides were Coleslaw and Baked Beans. I loved the coleslaw, it was fresh flavorful with a little kick., lightly tossed in a very good dressing, not soggy. The Coleslaw went well with the wings. The Baked Bean were rich tasting. So good. Our waitress was very attentive, and told us dishes that were specials coming up on Sunday, This was the inside scoop on a hard to find dish, we were excited to hear it Angie the Owner came out to say hi. We are heading back for the upcoming special dish. The quality of the ingredients, dish flavors, , ambiance, and gracious service makes Wing N It a hidden gem. I'll be ready to share with those headed thier way. Thank you Wing N It!

Returned for the sampler box (chicken, fish, fries, hush puppies). This is prepared fresh, and comes out about as hot as you can ever have food come out. It was delicious as usual. I got this with the lemon pepper sauce, and all was super great. Very friendly service. I still highly recommend this place.

This place is located within the convenience store; we ordered around 6:40p and the meal was ready within 20 mins. I believe their hours are 3:00p-7:45p, so they are open to taking orders close to closing, which is nice! We ordered the red beans and rice, the fried okra, the FAL Signature Seafood Boil, and the shrimp boil... and wow, every dish was absolutely delicious. The red beans and rice were perfectly seasoned and comforting, the fried okra was crispy without being greasy, and both seafood boils were packed with flavor and generous portions. The shrimp were juicy, the seasoning was spot on, and the whole boil had that perfect balance of spice and richness that you hope for but don't always get. On top of the incredible food, the lady who owns the restaurant is wonderfully warm and welcoming. She made us feel right at home and clearly cares about her customers and her food. We feel completely satisfied and already planning what we'll try next time. If you're craving seafood done right, this place is a must. Also, easy on the wallet!!! Highly recommend!

The ribs were tender with a nice smoky flavor and came off the bone clean. The tri tip was just as solid, juicy and well seasoned with that classic barbecue taste. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and the baked beans had a good balance of sweet and savory. The lemonade was cold and refreshing and worked well with the meal. The atmosphere is a big part of the experience. Rustic, lively, and full of character. It feels like a true desert spot with history behind it. The place can get busy, but the staff kept things moving and were friendly throughout. This place loves to its hype. Definitely more than just a meal. Unfortunately, the food was not up to the standard we remembered. Several of the items tasted as though they had been prepared long before being served--almost like leftovers from the day before. The flavors and overall quality felt noticeably off, which was especially discouraging considering how much we used to enjoy dining here. We're not sure if there's been a recent change in management or in the kitchen, but the difference was significant enough that we felt compelled to share our experience. We truly hope this was just an off day, because we'd love to see the food return to the quality we remember. That said, we still enjoy this venue for concerts and the overall atmosphere, and we sincerely hope the dining experience improves for future guests.

The restaurant itself is simple and inviting, understated in the best way. We didn't have reservations, so we sat at the bar, despite several empty tables giving us that "maybe we could have gambled" feeling. Still, the bar turned out to be a good perch for the evening. Kristin, if I caught her name correctly, was running the universe behind that bar. Mixing drinks, serving dinner, managing patrons, and somehow still staying friendly through it all. Watching bartenders during dinner rushes always feels a little like witnessing Olympic-level multitasking. I was especially excited to order the hearts of palm cakes because hearts of palm were a staple in my childhood home. Sadly, they were out of them. A small heartbreak occurred. I survived bravely. Roadtrip mode had fully turned us into tapas people by then, so we ordered a spread of appetizers and a salad to share. The Inn's famous sautéed mushrooms absolutely deserved their reputation, buttery, garlicky, lemony little flavor bombs. The toasted ravioli with house marinara disappeared quickly, the beet and orange salad was fresh and balanced, and the falafel bites were tasty, though I personally would have loved them just a bit crispier. I enjoyed a couple of Old Fashioneds, and the live music that evening was genuinely excellent. The woman performing had one of those voices that makes you stop mid-bite for a second just to listen. Not bad company for dinner. The only thing I wish they'd improve is accessibility. The atmosphere is wonderfully peaceful, but a bit more consideration for guests with mobility challenges would go a long way in making that peace more inclusive. Overall, we really enjoyed our evening. Good food, good music, strong cocktails, desert night air, and that slow-roadtrip feeling where nobody's in a hurry anymore.

Attached to the Twenty Nine Palms Inn, the restaurant offered more options for different eaters: a few salads, burgers, specialties and sandwiches. High marks for the grunt burger, Porto burger, and fish tacos (not huge) and the oasis bowl was good. Prices were also not exorbitant, likely because the sandwiches and burgers didn't come with sides. They have both indoor and covered outdoor seating. We thought the service would be slow as we sat outside and seated ourselves but it wasn't bad. The server was nice; when our side orders were forgotten at first, it was quickly rectified when we pointed it out. The bathroom was clean and had adequate aeration. They close 4 and 5 pm, between lunch and dinner. It was quiet when we arrived which was a nice respite.

When you sit you already have small plates and things at the table which makes sense for indoors but with the desert setting there was sand everywhere. The tables were also covered in sand which obviously isn't their fault but you would think it would be wiped and set before seating. The fresh drinks were imo the best part by far. They were so delicious and like I said very fresh. The kale salad was alright not really much flavor and weirdly soggy. The beet salad was incredible but definitely NOT enough to share considering everything is served family style (and especially with the price). Burger was alright, my sister had this and said "nothing stood out". Again not enough to be considered "family style". With everything being $30-$40 with recommended 4-5 plates per table with family style I would assume they would actually be shareable sizes. Service was good. Our waitress was amazing and so knowledgeable about the menu. The only thing is there was an older woman as hostess who was kind of just there? She said hi and got to the point but no one said bye or have a good night when we were leaving other than our waitress.
