Another first on the road to the erosion of society. I stopped there for a coffee as the Bolla market didn't have any half-and-half. I ordered the small coffee from Crawford. The price was posted at like $2.75. When I pay I was told it was $3.80 or so I pointed this out and the response was "oh, recharge for the half-and-half". Say what? I have been on this earth for a long time, and that is the first time I have ever heard of that. Ridiculous. I would absolutely not recommend and will not be going back. read more

Excellent food and service. I went to Crawford's Cafe numerous times when I was staying in Brooklyn. It's fantastic.

I ordered through Uber eats. My entire order was correct except for my avocado toasts. Firstly, the uber eats menu states that the avocado toast comes with pomegranate and an egg on top. Neither of my avocado toasts ( I ordered 2) had any of those, all we got was pieces of toast with some guac spread and the spice. I called up Crawfords and spoke to the management, no help there. Spoke to Mark who was the "owner", no help there as well. On the phone, management spoke in Spanish to other workers assuming I wouldn't understand which is stupid because I DID UNDERSTAND. On the phone, we were repeatedly told they couldn't do anything about it and was extremely rude. No mention of reimbursement and no mention of redelivering the order. The entire conversation lasted 10 minutes with them constantly being unhelpful and not offering any type of reimbursement. Also, let it be know that each piece of toast was $7.50. Overall, I paid $15 for 4 triangle pieces of toast smeared with guac and some olives sprinkled on. Crawfords is overpriced and they don't even send the correct order. I will not even try this place again and rather take my money elsewhere. read more

I mean what did you run out of at 11:40 in the morning that you can't make a grilled veggie? I had tried Crawfords many years ago when they first opened up, had a terrible experience and vowed never to return. Recently, I was starving and needed a quick breakfast for my husband and I. Crawfords was closest and on the way home so I went in to grab some bites. First of all, customer service is atrocious. Starting with them making fun of this guy who had been waiting quite a while to place an order and then told him they were out of certain ingredients. He left upset and the guy behind the counter just starts mouthing off to me about him. I was totally mortified. I place my order --- I do not joke when I tell you that making a grilled cheese sandwich, egg sandwich and tuna sandwich took them close to 30 minutes. What they were doing I have no clue. The only saving grace at this point was pretty much the taste and quality of the food. The grilled cheese was nice and toasty, with melted cheese to my liking. That goes for the egg sandwich too. The tuna was a little meh, they add carrots and celery which is so random but I'll let it slide. I do think the prices are outrageous. You're a little cafe in Midwood -- why you're overcharging for coffees and sandwiches I'm not quite sure. I don't vow to really never return, but I do plan on not returning unless it is an absolute emergency. read more

Crawfords is a kosher coffee bar and cafe that also makes sandwiches, smoothies, pizza, desserts, and more. I found the place to be clean but my table had a funny odor that smelled like someone might have wiped it down with a dirty cloth. The waitstaff was friendly and from my observation they have a following of regulars. Prices were normal for a kosher cafe. I only had coffee which was rather mediocre in flavor and strength. So my review does not include the food which looked pretty well made. read more

I had walked past this place many times and decided to go here instead of Dunkin like I normally would. Let me start by saying the service is horrendous. I should have realized the line of 6 people at the register was a sign that there was an issue. When I finally made it to the front of the line, I asked about some of the drink selections to which the man behind the counter responded that he didn't really know what was in them and that he just used pre made mixes. I ended up ordering an overpriced regular iced coffee (add a $1 to make any drink iced), chai tea latte and a muffin. All were ok, not great. Definitely, not worth the price they were charging for it. The seating is nice though and no one rushes you so that is a plus. Back to the service. When we were finished I went to pay and had to wait about 15 minutes as the same person behind the counter had accidentally charged $250 to someones card instead of $25. Rather than charging people when they order, they have you pay after which is problematic since they do not remember what you ordered. Next time, I will keep walking when I pass this place again! read more

The staff was nice and brought the food to us. The soups were good and the sandwich was ok. I also had the Blackbean Nachos which were pretty good, and would have finished them, if I wasnt full. That being said, the food was OK but not great flavor. I think it could use some additional burst of flavor. read more

I really like coming here, it's kosher if that's important to you. For me I just appreciate the family owned type of place that caters to their customers more than your average Starbucks. They have all the coffee and tea options you would expect along with a sandwiches and deserts. read more

This place was a lifesaver on Pesach. On Passover, it is exceedingly hard to find any restaurants open, certainly in Brooklyn. They had sandwiches on Passover baguettes made from tapioca flour, and they were really good. I enjoyed the grilled mozzarella with tomato and basil pesto, and the eggplant was very good, although it would have been nice if it had a coating on it (potato starch, egg, something). It seems as though they never clean the coffee machine properly by the bitter taste. I don't know why it is standard to not sprinkle cinnimon on a cappuccino. I've never been more confused by a coffee shop. I came in to sip on a beverage while working on my school work and the workers looked at me like I had a second head when I took out my laptop. I asked them if they had wifi and they just laughed. I asked what was so funny and they told me that they don't have any. I then started chuckling, "No Wifi?" they said "Nope, no wifi at all. Not ever." How in the world do you have a coffee house this large without any wifi for the customers? It happens to be that this place seems to be empty except for me and the workers so maybe that's why. I know I'll never be coming back to this location again. I've never had the salads or sandwiches but the yogurt is amazing. Peanut butter is out of this world and plain yogurt flavor is better than Pinkberry or 40 Carrots. The prices are insane, especially for this part of Brooklyn. If "Kosher" means high prices than how come Dunkin' Donuts or Starbucks don't charge that much for their food (which is Kosher as well). I have never seen a line at Crawford's but I tend to go on weekends. The customer service is fine. The guys who work there are sweet. There is also a pretty cool old timey scale in the bathroom. The tables were covered with stickiness and when I asked them to wipe the table they came out and wiped them off with a dirty rag, leaving caked on cookie or cake. Awful baked goods, had muffins, brownie, chocolate croissant and chocolate chunk cookies and were all tasteless and dry. If you are baking them on premises consider a new recipe, if you are buying them from someone else consider switching suppliers. When you are a cafe and billing yourself as "gourmet" which pricing certainly is, you should deliver on at least halfway good pastry items to go with coffee, these all got tossed out after two bites, they were just that dry, and at 1030am on a weekday morning that is just unacceptable. read more
