I recently had a new Liftmaster 3/4 HP belt driven garage door with MyQ technology installed at my residence. I strongly suggest this unit, after my contractor finished the install. I decided to purchase the MyQ Internet Gateway. "Crawford Door Sales" according to Liftmaster is a authorized dealer of their products; so I went to purchase the device that sales on Liftmaster own site for $51.95 - $65.07 w/s&h. Crawford Doors price $80.00 + tax......to say the price was "EGREGIOUS" is an understatement. It's clear this company isn't concern with staying within the industry price scale for products, I can only imagine what they charge for equipment installs Overall Rating 2 out of 10. Great customer service! Our garage door would not close at all on a Saturday evening -- I called Crawford and the on-call operator was helpful and polite. I received a call from Chris at Crawford within mins and he stated he was not the one on call that night but that he would contact the person who was and send them out. About a half hour later a repair person showed up and it was Chris -- the guy who said he WASN'T on call. Chris said he couldn't reach the person who was on call so Chris just came to our rescue anyway, even though he wasn't really on duty. He was so professional (came all the way from Novi and had his young son in the car-- they were probably headed out to do something fun), he took his time at analyzing the problem, did a good job fixing it, tested it numerous times, did many adjustments and gave us some info on what would be the long term solution for our poor old garage door. Chris was a true garage door specialist and an ace at customer service. I'll be calling them again to install a new garage door in the spring. read more
