On December 10th the technician arrived and suggested that the failure was user error, that I had "allowed" the seal to become frozen to the ground. First, I've never heard of such a thing. Second, this is Michigan... Now, after several weeks, and several attempts to reach Jason. He texted me and said that "the manufacturer had rejected my claim"??? But, not to worry, because the garage door guy, would sell me an "aftermarket" repair for just $300.

As if that would persuade my husband to buy his services. He then sat in his truck on the phone for maybe 10 minutes, like he was trying to come up with something to sell us. My son then ran to Menards, found a replacement coil for $60, and fixed it for us. The door works great now... $60, not $1000! This company is a bunch of scammers looking to rip off people. Go anywhere else! UPDATE: When we reviewed this place, a guy from the company started texting my husband. He said he would refund the service fee and adjust our door for "free" if we would take down our negative reviews. Now it's clear why there are no negative reviews. This person also reached out to me on Yelp. We are not going to be bought or upsold. I feel sorry for people paying this company's ridiculous prices thinking its a good deal.

Their timing and flexibility was better as well! Throughout the process of bathroom remodeling, they were extremely helpful, accommodating and easy to work with. From picking tiles and helping us with the pickup (usually pretty expensive), to going out of their ways to seal cracks for us on the wall and hanging paintings for my mom. They even offered to walk my dog when they were working with us. They are excellent at what they do. See images for the before and after of the bathrooms. We love our 3 bathrooms now. They were able to accommodate everything we asked them too. Including changing old electric outlets, adding a shower in the guest bathroom, and switching the vent to a heated vent. They even helped to fix my kitchen sink that a plumber failed after trying for 3 days! They are also honest people. I did notice a cracked window and Rob immediately ordered a new one and covered the cost. So they do honor their warranty on their work. They also provided written documentation of how they were going to do everything - details on how the support posts would be set, on the structure, and on the deck boards, etc, many of which were beyond what the local building code requires. And then they were able to deliver on what they said they would do. The new support structure for my deck is rock solid, I swear I could park a truck on it. Good communication with me throughout the entire process. And the finished product is beautiful. I went with a composite deck material. While not the least expensive quote that I had, they were competitive. I went with them because I wanted it done right and last many years, and I fee that they were able to give me that.

We shopped other larger remodelers but we were never satisfied with their very conventional designs and the others insisted that I didn't have enough space for a water closet and separate vanities. Accent gave me both and the deal was done for me. It ended up taking much longer than we anticipated to complete the work. Almost two months during which we vacated the master bedroom and moved that furniture around so the workers could have easy access to the bathroom, and we didn't want to sleep with the dust in the air. At some point in the process we changed the door for the water closet. The supplier of the door had several delays, so we were not happy about that. But several months later the bathroom is done and we love it. The workmanship is top notch, the tradesmen were great, very friendly and professional and cleaned up behind themselves. Steve & Bill were very easy to work with and the final product looks just like the drawings he did on the computer the first time we met. We would highly recommend Accent, but don't be in a hurry.
