We got seated immediately and ordered drinks. I ordered a Sapporo for my first beverage & the rest of the table ordered soft drinks. The guy who was waiting on our table was nice but seemed to want us to order almost right off the bat, not sure why. We ended up ordering our own shrimp. My boyfriend and I shared 1lb of shrimp with two pieces of corn and sausage. We also ordered chowder fries for the table. My second beer unfortunately was not the Sapporo, they had run out due to a busy weekend. The second choice I wanted they were out of as well. Finally I believe I ordered the Stella which they had. We got our shrimp at the same time and it was super good. It reminded me of Boiling Crab, but the mild was not as spicy as I had anticipated. The other bummer was we waited a few minutes to ask about our Chowder Fries and I think either they forgot to put the order in or they were behind in the kitchen because we got our chowder fries almost after we were done with our shrimp. Decided to eat here for my birthday, the waitress was super nice and attentive. Thanks for always checking up if we needed more water! My friend and I both decided to get 1 lb of shrimp each cave style. If you check in on yelp, you get free golden fish balls. OMG, the fish balls are packed with flavor! I highly recommend trying this when you're here. On top of that, the shrimps were huge. Bigger than normal size! This is my new favorite place to eat shrimp. The cave style sauce had so much flavor going on which I loved. Can't go wrong with putting the extra sauce on a side of rice. Rarely write reviews but felt so compelled to share my experience. Ordered the "bucket" comprised of two lbs of clams, and one lb of shrimp. Got it to go with a clam chowder and baked oysters. Total came out to 82 bucks. Disappointed from the moment we opened the bag. The shrimp and clams were extremely mushy. It literally dissolved to a paste. And nearly all of the clams were not even open. The sauce was extremely watered down almost like a soup. I'm not even sure I even ate a whole clam, they dissolved before it reached my mouth. I'm not sure what we ate after we finished the meal, I had to even make some instant noodles after to feel substance in my tummy. A delicious crawfish joint in the heart of downtown Fullerton. We were in luck! I believe today was one of the first days of the fresh crawfish season (because even the server was surprised that the market price on crawfish has changed as of this morning, indicating it is for fresh not frozen crawfish). We ordered the "bucket" which is 3 lbs of seafood with 4 pieces of sausage, 2 pieces of corn and 2 pieces of potatoes for about $43. The only caveat is your entire bucket order has to be the same spice level and same seasoning. We picked medium and all-in seasoning. Granted, we eat pretty spicy but we could not taste the spice at all! Ended up asking for more spice and the server was kind enough to bring us a bowl of spicier sauce to add to our food. It helped a little bit. The crawfish tasted alright, although I suspect there were some frozen crawfish mixed amongst our fresh crawfish. The meat just didn't taste as fresh for some of them. The shrimp was good. Don't forget there's an option to get your shrimp peeled (for an extra 2 dollars per lb). I also highly recommend the Cajun garlic fries. Sooo good. Last but not least, the service was really fast and friendly. The seasoning had lots of brown herby stuff on it. It just didn't taste very good to me. The crawfish was not very flavorful but at least the shrimp and garlic noodles were filling. When I called about the forgotten ketchup mayo, the response of the person who picked up was funny- he blamed Alexis for leaving and not telling them anything. Um okay, she's still your employee? When I called again to let them know they also forgot our potatoes, the manager said he would take care of us next time, but we aren't interested in a next time. I've always been a huge fan of Boiling Crab but this place is definitely better! Similar concept but the flavors here were amazing and service was impeccable. They also have dollar oysters during their happy hour. I'm very particular about oysters but this place does it right. Super fresh and juicy! Nothing beats $1 oysters! The fish po'boy was so good. Fish was battered and fried to perfection and had all the fixings, just how I like it. Comes with fries and is pretty filling. I thoroughly enjoyed eating this! They also have shrimp, calamari, and oyster po'boys, all of which sound delicious! Now for the best part of my meal..the pound of lobster tail! I need to start off by saying the customer service here is impeccable. We were helped immediately and by many workers. All of them were incredibly sweet and efficient. Sam, however, was the BEST. Service was a little bit odd, but I think it was due to a brand new server. I ordered the garlic noodles all-in, spicy. They were actually very good. The shrimp was not over cooked, which was good considering all the meats have different cook times. My other half ordered the fish tacos with Cajun fries and a side of andouille sausage. The tacos he said were bland. The fries were good. The andouille appears to be one sausage cut into six pieces. He said the sausage was good. Overall, this place was okay. He explained the menu, and had a pleasant attitude. He gave us his own personal recommendations on what to choose fm the menu. Food was awesome. Their sauce was good, and so was quality of the King crab (meat was tender and perfect). Wings had good amount of chicken and good flavors. Although, the fish sauce was a little too much for me with their Asian seasoning. Baked oysters were decent, but had a tad too much cheese. Corn also had a little too much Parmesan cheese on it. My friends and I ordered a lot of food, and we all agreed it was one of the best choices to try this place out. For one, their oysters are so so so good and during happy hour, only $1 each! That alone would get me to come to this place and try it out. We also got an order of their fried fish balls (tip: check-in to this place on Yelp) and it was delicious - they're the same fish balls that you find in shabu shabu places. We also tried their garlic noodles (all-in) and while it was delicious, it wasn't life-changing as some people on Yelp make it out to be. Their fried calamari is delicious, and so are their chowder fries (they use shoestring fries so you know it's legit). Additionally, we also got a pound of shrimp and a side of corn (with butter) and it was just ... heavenly. Their servers are super nice, attentive, and friendly - they always come around to make sure you're doing good and to refill your water too! Parking lot is small for the amount of businesses around so I highly suggest parking in that structure nearby for free. It's so flavorful and the thin spaghetti makes a huge difference! The rice that we ordered was a bit mushy so I'd pass on it. I was hoping that there would be more sauce so we can grab some and throw it on the rice. After you finish your seafood bowl, you'll be able to see the sauce and let out a sigh of relief that there wasn't as much oil as you ingested..... or at least I did. ;) Mild is definitely good enough for a kick of spice but they have various levels of spice. It is evident that the shrimp was not in any seasoning of flavor and didn't absorb the flavor it was delivered in. Rating 2/10 Truffle fries were by far the highlight of our meal! Garlic shrimp noodles had absolutely no flavor, could only taste butter and spaghetti. I don't even know if there was actually garlic in it because we could not taste any.
