Brought my parents to the crawfish cafe to try some crawfish with some asian fusion flavors such as Thai Basil and coco loco. They said it's now their favorite place to get crawfish! There's plenty of parking and indoor seating, no matter if you're a party of 2 or party of 8. There's gloves to keep your hands clean, plenty of napkins to wipe the messes away, and convenient stand-alone sinks outside the bathroom to wash your hands. Food took a minute to come out, but only because the table ahead of us probably ordered more than 10 pounds of crawfish in every flavor. 'Tis the season! Crawfish Cafe is hands down my favorite Viet-Cajun crawfish spot! The OG location in Bellaire has now branched out all over Houston and surrounding areas, which is awesome because they are the best! I went to the newest location in The Woodlands since my family lives up here, and it did not disappoint! The only downsides were parking around was packed, and service was a bit slow and sporadic, but maybe in due time things will flow better. Crawfish is currently at market price: $8.99/lb (as of March 2023), and the crawfish are huge. I only wish they would sell 1/2 lbs also, but they only sell per pound. The flavors are so delicious, but my favorite would have to be "The Grail", a combination between garlic butter and Thai basil, I adjust the spice level to medium which has a perfect kick to it if your spice tolerance isn't as high. Make sure to get boiled corn on the cob and sausage add ons to go with your boiled bagged crawfish, so much flavor! The Cajun fries and the fried rice are also delicious and goes well with your crawfish! Unfortunately they charge for any dipping sauces, but the spicy aioli is a great condiment for the crawfish and Cajun fries. The wings are also really crispy and tasty! It was ok. Nothing to make me say "we gotta come back". We started with the cracklin with queso. Being a native of Louisiana, cracklin from there is very different - this is fried pork skins from a bag with some queso. Very meh. Especially even more so because it took 15 minutes to come to our table - and they weren't that busy! Service the whole time wasn't very good. There isn't an overall reason to come back. There are too many other good restaurants in The Woodlands area to go to. One app, 2 drinks and two lunch was $54 before tip. Pretty pricey for meh. read more

It went to 16.99/lbthe price went up so highbut you do have another option for the frozen crawfish for 9.99/lbone thing that i am happy the food /crawfish is flavorful you just have to ask for more lemon so it will not taste too salty The service is also great though you have to patiently wait for they have to cook it . My servers namely Emmanuel and Sean were also great. They have been very pleasant and attentive to our orders. And have explained why the sudden raise of the price . Came in on a Sunday morning and was immediately greeted by the host who quickly walked us over to our table. Our server Wes was so patient and kind while helping us order our food. I really enjoyed how crispy the onion rings and cajun fries were and the fried rice dishes were amazingly seasoned and was a good portion size that could serve 3-4 people! Overall the food was amazingly delicious and the restaurant was really spacious and clean. Saw this place while driving down I-45. Decided to give it a try and were pleasantly surprised. Waiter Emmanuel was awesome and recommend the daily special. Thursday- Shrimpfest 24 Blackened Shrimp with 2 sides. We also tried the crawfish cheese bread, garlic Parmesan wings, fried rice, hush puppies, and 1lb of mussels. So, last week I was in LA for work, and I specifically put the world famous Crustacean in Beverly Hills on my must try list. Crustacean is the swanky home of the OG "An's Secret Kitchen" garlic noodles. Every food show on TV has talked about these garlic noodles since the late 90's. Well, I tried them, and guess what? They taste EXACTLY like the garlic noodles here at Crawfish Cafe! Of course the price tag was quite different. That check was exponentially larger. Just to be sure I wasn't jaded, I and my sister returned to Crawfish Cafe this evening so that I could re-taste the noodles... YES. I can confirm, they taste exactly like Crustacean's famous noodles. There you go. You don't have to go to Cali, and you can pay a lot less for the same insanely delicious noodles. You're welcome. Finally tried this place out because it's the closest Viet Cajun crawfish place near me. Also, it's finally crawfish season!!! The size of the crawfish sadly was a bit disappointing. I thought because it was crawfish season, they'd be big. The bag had mainly smaller ones, but still had a mixture of sizes. I got the garlic butter and special sauce one. Can't remember exactly what it was called. But I will say flavor was pretty good. I got medium spice, it was not spicy at all. Next time I'll be getting spicy. The ambiance felt cozy and welcoming. As for the service it was ok. It did take a long time for my crawfish to come out. Usually at other places I always get my crawfish out first before my husbands fried seafood. He was done eating by the time I got my food. Also ordered the spring roll from the pho pop up they have in the restaurant.... Would NOT recommend. It's 1 spring roll for $3.50, e-x-p-e-n-s-i-v-e. On top of that, the roll was badly wrapped and noodle tasted old, definitely been refrigerated. I love spring rolls and always order one when available. And this place did not do it for me. The flavor was great and they were easy to peal. It's still early in the season so size were small to medium. We also shared a bowl of the garlic noodles which is a hit with the kid. Can get a little pricey for everything, but overall a great meal. This will definitely stay in our crawfish season rotation. read more

The crawfish is always good! The different flavors add a lot, we have not tried the lemon pepper yet, but the others have all been yummy. They have different spice levels for different tolerances. The clams are good as well. Service was a little slow, but they were quite busy, all tables inside and outside were in use. Getting refills, the Bill and such seemed to take forever. There was a line to get in, so you would think getting people who were done out, would be priority one. I am guessing they need one more waiter, because it isn't like anyone was standing around. I'm so happy to have found a good viet Cajun crawfish place on the north side!! Location, Decor, Ambiance: Crawfish Cafe is located in a plaza with available parking every time I go to that area. The restaurant itself has some booth seating and then tables inside as well as outside. They list the current market prices right on the TV screen to the left when you enter. I stopped by around 6:30pm on a Sunday night and we were seated almost immediately and there was still plenty of seats open. It's a casual place (you're eating crawfish!). They also have these hand-wash stations in the back by the bathrooms which is an awesome convenience! Food & Drink: For 2 people, I ordered 3 lbs of crawfish, 1 lb headless shrimp, 1 side of Cajun fries, and 1 side of garlic bread which was plenty. Note that it's still pretty early in the season so the size of the crawfish were small to medium. That definitely did not stop us from enjoying the food though! For headless shrimp they're all deveined so it's super easy to peel (a big win!). We also got additional dipping sauces of the garlic butter and their signature blend of kickin' cajun for an extra $1.00 each. I tried two of the House Special Blends: The Signature (Garlic Butter & Kickin Cajun) and The Grail (Garlic Butter & Thai Basil) at medium level spice. Out of the two, I liked the signature the best. Regardless, both the crawfish and shrimp were flavorful and delicious! Medium level gives a faint kick but I would not consider it overbearingly spicy or not enough. Service: Service was great! Our server was attentive and came back to check in on us, replace the empty shell bowls, and fill our drinks multiple times. Right before we arrived, there had been an emergency medical incident in the kitchen so they were a bit backed up. However, they let us know as soon as we sat down and I think they still did a great job and the wait didn't feel that long. I appreciated the transparency and let us know they helped set expectations. Price: I've been to other crawfish places that charge ridiculous amounts so I can say that their pricing was very reasonable - even for early season. Would Return: Yes! Becareful ordering when they've just opened or ordering there at all. We wanted to try how their live crawfish would be this season since we loved it last year. Paid $17 per pound for LIVE CRAWFISH. Opened and tasted and you can immediately tell they're frozen. The shells were soggy and honestly tasted like it had already spoiled. Very disappointed and would rather get HEB crawfish. read more
