They meet my requirements... a double corn tortilla (important technique to support the juicy drip), spice blend that gets your attention but doesn't kill, and cold crunch of lettuce and pico. I washed mine down with a margarita and it was muy bueno. I highly suggest them for your neighborhood block party. A great affordable way to support a local business and connect with neighbors!

They brought the heat. Juicy shrimp. The shells looked and tasted like they were grilled which gave more texture along with the spices, cilantro and onion giving my mouth a flavorful party. The meal comes with 3 tacos rice and beans. In a previous visit I'd had the chicken quesadilla and it was yummy. I plan to return to try everything on the menu. The owner said a margarita machine is coming soon. But for now only American and Mexican sodas.

The ordering process was efficient, with a friendly staff member outside the truck using an iPad with a credit card reader. There was no signing and no touching the iPad, so it was all contact-free. The tacos were nicely packaged, with a nice, medium salsa and lime wedges. The 4" tortillas were soft, moist, and fresh, while the four meats I tried varied greatly in flavor. The al pastor was moist, flavorful, and somewhat spicy with a good portion size (nice!), while the marinated pollo was a little drier (but still good), the grilled tilapia was okay with only a small portion size, and the asada consisted of tiny, over-cooked, dry beef cubes. Bottled water and sodas were available at reasonable prices from their cooler, but there was no seating. Watch their social media sites for their next location. Overall, I'm thinking 3.5 stars and rounding up for the reasonable price.

I ordered three tacos- 2 asada and 1 chorizo for $9. The plate came with hefty servings of meat on double tortillas topped with the finest chopped onions and cilantro I've ever encountered. In fact the meat was also chopped extremely fine. I really think that this prep method brings out more flavor in the end. Excellent product. There was plenty of garnishments also; grilled onions, charred serrano pepper, sliced cucumbers and radish, limes and 2 sauces. The green sauce was delicious and the yellow was atomic so be careful. I almost went back for a second round after getting home and devouring them, but didn't want to brave the cold. This will be a regular stop after work as long as they remain in the neighborhood.

The old bowls were large and wide, with plenty of room for all of the ingredients. The new bowl is so small and deep that it honestly felt like I was eating my meal out of a cup. It wasn't satisfying at all. Everything was crammed together and mixed up, and it actually changed the entire taste and experience of the meal. Part of what made these bowls so good was being able to taste the different ingredients and combine them how you wanted. In this container, everything just became one big mixture. I could barely even find the shrimp I paid extra for. I also ordered extra rice, and there is absolutely no way what I received felt like an extra portion. I normally cannot come close to finishing one of these bowls in one sitting. I can eat quite a bit and you can barely tell I've touched it. Today, I ate the entire thing in one sitting, which says a lot about how much the portion has changed. I understand restaurants sometimes have to make changes, but serving the same meal in a significantly smaller container while customers are still paying the same price--and paying additional charges for extras--is incredibly disappointing. I have pictures of my previous bowls compared with the one I received today, and the difference is obvious. I really hope Tiki Taco reconsiders this change. I used to look forward to these bowls, but eating out of what feels like a cup is just not the same meal or experience. The street tacos had generous portions of moist, perfectly cooked meat on tasty, moist, 5" single-layer tortillas with onions, fresh cilantro and lime slices. They offered five Mexican entrées, six different meats and several bottled drinks including Mexican sodas, but I didn't see any rice or beans. Two sauces were available - a tasty, mild to medium sauce and a nasal clearing hot sauce. The truck is semi-permanently located in the small parking lot of an auto repair shop, so little parking is available. I found an empty lot just east of the truck that worked for me. No outdoor seating was available. Overall, very nice!
