This is an intimate sushi spot that serves very fresh handmade sushi. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. Their cocktails and mocktails alike were well crafted. i had the lychee mocktail which was excellent. Their bao buns were tasty, as were the handrolls. Their raw oysters were fresh and grated horseradish cocktail sauce and tabasco are great accompaniments.

WE last visited Dec 2023 and Brian was awesome. This time Jney (Iney) was just as awesome even though she was working all the tables. We enjoyed the lobster curry ( a bit spicy), the Barrmundi and sliders. The appetisers were OK and our server gave us a substitute (very nice). Sunday supper is a bargain.

Everything was amazing about this place - from the food especially the calamari to the ambiance and service. I would definitely return to try other items from the menu.

We came for happy hour which is on the weekends as well. We got some oysters, the salmon tostados and a slider. The sliders took a long time to come and we also didn't realize they accidentally gave us double serving of the salmon. It was only until we got the bill that we noticed it was double the price but they took off the slider since it took so long to come. The salmon definitely my favorite item, which was tasty and fresh.

Dinner at Crave Fish Bar in Kips Bay which is my favorite seafood place in NYC. We started with the salmon sashimi tostada. For mains, we shared the lobster roll with spicy avocado garlic aioli, and the seared yellowfin tuna with coriander adobo, mexican corn, and smashed fingerling potatoes.

it's just okay and they have the same things on the menu which. doesn't feel very innovative but their happy hour seems like a very good deal also it's weird that they have two location s maybe one is an overflow for the other ??? right next to each other. the one further uptown seems nicer

'Good Life' cocktails with friends. Holiday Cheers! - 12/12/2023

As I said back in 2016, I repeat in 2023, CRAVE Fishbar is a definite keeper. Last night 12/12, we recently returned with friends to celebrate the holiday season. The restaurant was bustling in merriment. We started off with a platter of 24 delicious briny East Coast bivalves (oysters, matey!) which went down well with our yummy spicy 'Good Life' margaritas. All followed by small plates of: Salmon Sashimi tostadas, Silky Fluke Nigiri, Grilled Octopus w fennel, crunchy Brussel sprouts with chorizo, grilled Cauliflower with jalapeño + cheese. All delicious and good! Our evening concluded with Crave's luscious silky Red Velvet Cheesecake. A good choice! *Merry Happy + Season's Greetings to all! Cheers!* **Peace On Earth** Thank you

    The drinks are also great!

We came back to celebrate my belated birthday. Stevie, our server, was amazing!! She was so patient with us. The food was delicious and the flowers on the fire escape are perfect for pics!! We will be back!!

This was an over priced and okay meal. I had been wanting to come to Crave Fishbar for quite some time and I had high expectations because of other reviews. I want to start off by saying the Fall Sangria was awful. It was sour, had absolutely no bourbon, and tasted like a sour seltzer water with juice a few fruits floating in it. The calamari was the best thing I had for dinner, and the Gulf Shrimp Roll decent, but not the best. My partner said the burger was at best a 5/10. I personally wouldn't eat here again unless it was someone else's choice and I have to go.

    Oysters happy hour

My friend recommended this place for happy hour and the oysters. Lots of options for the oysters and we couldn't decide what we wanted so we let them chose the oyster for us. I was disappointed because the oysters were not as fresh as I expected. The other food that we ordered from the happy hour menu was the rice dusted point Judith calamari. This one was good and very interesting. The salmon sashimi tostada was great too. I would still recommend this place for happy hour.

RATING: 7.5/10 - BRUNCH PRO TIP: You hear bottomless brunch, and one may think that the food is going to be terrible. However, that's not the case here. For around 2 hours you get to have bottomless drinks (which are actually quite tasty) and choose from an eclectic seafood-based food menu. AVOCADO TOAST WITH TEMPURA SHRIMP While I wouldn't call the shrimp quite "Tempura' but rather fried crispy shrimp it has this wonderful craggly fry texture to it with tender, bouncy shrimp underneath. The slice of bread is huge, and the portions plentiful. The quality is really great and it's a big bang for your buck. I also added an egg but felt like there was a lot going on and it was logistically difficult to eat but I was satisfied with my food for sure. FINAL CATEGORY: GREAT (terrible / bad / ok / good / GREAT / excellent)

I loved my recent visit to Crave Fishbar. They have a great happy hour and the space is beautiful. My salon entree was DELISH and I loved that they offer the Banana Pudding from Magnolia Bakery. I love that this restaurant is a B Corp and I will definitely be going back!

Are they holding brunches on Saturdays/Sundays?

Are they open and doing happy hour still?

The oyster happy hour is still there, 4-6 p.m.

If visiting with a cane, is the restaurant accessible? Are there restrooms on main floor or is there an elevator?

There are tables with restrooms on both floors. I did not see an elevator for the 2nd floor.

Is happy hour everyday including weekends?

    Yes it is.

Is the happy hour oyster from 5-7 still truly $1?

Not only are they a buck, the oysters are fantastic! Atmosphere is also fantastic. Gets packed quick!

    Is the restaurant noisy?

Not really. It's a nice place for a date or with coworkers. Noise level is normal to mild

Do you have to sit at the bar for Happy hour oysters or can you order from a table/dinner?

You may sit at a table if you have a reservation.

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

Easy to find if you know what you're looking for, if you arrive right at 5pm on a cold weeknight in the winter, you'll easily find a table or seat at the bar. Very cute space, cozy like everyone says, but nothing mind blowing. Music is moderately loud. The menu in early February still included their winter holiday cocktails. I was more interested in the apple sage house-made fermented soda, and it was pretty good-large glass, flavorful and not too sweet. My friend enjoyed her pomegranate version. The space started to fill up at around 5:30. Service was polite when you could get it, but generally very inattentive, even before it got busy. It honestly didn't feel too different from anu other very nice NYC bar, in terms of menu selection, prices, ambiance and service. Maybe that's standard for NYC speakeasies, but the places I frequented in other cities were more fun and felt more worth the price. I'll still give another NYC spot a try, but not coming back to Thyme.

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. Since we had cocktails at dinner, we only stayed for one round. Service was good, and overall I enjoyed my time at Patent Pending. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way.
