Signature sandwiches are around $8 which is definitely a little pricy for a breakfast sandwich - but the fresh ingredients and amazing flavor make it worth the price. Amazing sandwiches. Best in Beverly and probably the north shore. Never disappointed, i love the brioche. The only thing to watch out for is the wait time. Sometimes its not an issue but at rush hour an hour+ wait for a breakfast sandwhich and coffee might turn some people away. I guess just order earlier to compensate? read more

Came to Crave on a friend's recommendation...interesting place. Dunkin's has ruled the local breakfast sandwich scene up until now, but Crave gives you TWO fried eggs and thick-cut bacon on a hefty brioche bun. Is it worth paying nearly double the price for a breakfast sandwich? Well, maybe, perhaps....but a certain long-time coffee and bake shop on Bridge St. in Salem advertises in the Salem News that they have the "best breakfast sandwiches on the North Shore". Really charming place! The owners are both quite friendly & welcoming, the décor is fresh & cheery. Every item that I commented on to them has a story behind it (the glass tables, the coffee table, the wood lining the front of the checkout counter, even the wood slab that holds the cake-pops) is upcycled from something else (either by the owners or their family). The displays of succulents in handmade pots (put together by their mom if I heard correctly) are so cute that I'm feeling inspired to make some myself. So far I love the Almond croissants, pepper jelly & cheese croissants, and carrot cake. All are made in house, all the way down to the pepper jelly & almond past in the pastries. They have several gf items but the only one I've tried was the carrot cake, which was moist & tasty. None of that dry/sandy texture that some gf baking has. I also love that the brand of coffee that they use is fair trade & sustainably sourced! I have not tried their breakfast items yet but every time I have been by there I've overheard another person raving about them, always a good sign! read more

Crave is my favorite gluten free place to eat! The only place I've found gluten free breakfast sandwiches, and they're amazing! Their gluten free bread tastes so good that I asked if I could bring some home without any filling. I paid extra for it... and I'm a college student, so believe me when I say it's worth it! And when it comes to eating gluten free, it's the cheapest place next to making everything yourself anyway! I highly recommend Crave to those with gluten sensitivities. ALL of their cupcakes are gluten free, even the cookie dough and s'mores ones! Their breakfast sandwiches are to die for. And depending on the season, I constantly crave their hot cocoa with flavored marshmallows or their iced green tea with lemonade. They also have very good nitro-brew coffee and macarons! read more

My son and I have been going to CRAVE since it opened. This place just continues to get better. The staff is great and the food is better. My son is celiac and it is not only a first class bakery but the best gluten free bakery I have been to in the U.S.. I can't say enough about the coffee and bake good which are delicious. My favorite are the scones (GF) that are light and the breakfast sandwiches (GF available) that are huge and delicious. Great job on this place. read more

After hearing so many good things about this place, I finally decided to check it out. I went in around lunch on a weekday and it wasn't super busy but I still had to wait about 15 minutes for an egg and cheese sandwich to-go. The eggs were dry and the sandwich was overall pretty flavorless, but the brioche was absolutely amazing. Buttery, fresh, and just melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I got a cookie dough cupcake which was pretty dry, and the frosting tasted like a grainy mix of cookie dough and buttercream with way too many M&M's mixed in. I'm sure other flavors with regular frosting would be much better! Overall, I was pretty disappointed with the long wait time and average food. read more

The Northshore sandwich was awesome! Service was quick and friendly. Only complaint is getting charged $0.50 for a splash of almond milk in my coffee. A full latte, a different story. But unless a person is going to b charged for a splash of milk or cream, especially at dairy costs these days, it does not seem appropriate for the tradeoff. read more

Everything is fast, the workers are super friendly, and the North Shore transcends breakfast sandwiches and reaches hitherto unknown heights. Based on a recommendation I stopped yesterday and was so happy with my breakfast sandwich. Sure it costs a little more than Dunkin' Donuts but this is the real thing, no tasteless mass produced bland food here! I got the wheat homemade pita: perfect. American cheese, ham AND the candied spicy bacon! This is a two-handed, drippy masterpiece. (cost $8.29) Just as I was thinking a little hot sauce would only enhance the experience I noticed they did have some on hand. However, the owner suggested I try his hot pepper jelly. So good. I will sing the praises of this sandwich from the rooftops. The cupcakes looked beautiful - I can tell the attention to detail in this place is important. This place is worth a trip! read more

Food is good, not good enough for the level of rudeness and laissez-faire attitude given to myself and other PAYING customers.

The sandwiches are worth the wait! Only downside is it's hard to call in to order during COVID because they're so busy they either don't pick up or leave you on hold for a while, but if you order at the shop, people are good at keeping a distance and waiting outside. I've gone to Crave for the breakfast sandwiches many times and have never been disappointed. I wish the sweet stuffed croissants weren't so sweet (the thick glaze seems super unnecessary). But I recently tried the beer cheese stuffed pretzel croissant and it's one of the best things I have ever eaten. Also the salted caramel brownie batter cupcake is 10/10. read more

Stopped by the other day to try some cupcakes. They were amazing! I had high expectations just from the reviews and the fact that there was a line out the door when we arrived. But they totally lived up to my expectations and possibly even exceeded them. We tried a strawberry shortcake and peanut butter, the cake was moist and the frosting was so good. I had no idea they were gluten free until I overheard the couple next to us say it. After hearing that, I brought a few home for a friend who has celiac. She was really impressed with them considering most of the gluten free desserts out there suck. We will be back! read more

These guys are awesome! My mom is a celiac and I am now officially her favorite child for finding this place! I bring her a new cupcake to try every week and so far everyone has been better than the last! They even make GF pies near the holidays. The scones are also gluten free and you can't even tell. As a first time experience, the staff was extremely rude while I was placing my order and they did not give clear instructions to wait in the store for my coffee before rudely reminding me that I needed to do so when I went back in to grab it. The staff looked unhappy, the manager was rude about their policy, and the food was mediocre at best. On top of all of that the store said they had a max capacity of 3 customers at a time and there was regularly 6-7+ not following their own guidelines at all. For this quality of service and food I would rather give my business to any other coffee shop in the area. read more

I want to start this review off by saying that this place has some of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had, anywhere. Those sandwiches alone are easily five stars. However the reason there are two stars on this review is that the last four weekends I have gone here they have been out of at least one thing I've tried to order, if not more. They serve breakfast "all day" but but they're basically guaranteed to run out of the same items every single weekend, with SEVERAL hours left in the day. Maybe they're going for that whole exclusive, limited batch type of thing? I really can't think of any other reason why 4/4 Saturdays in a month they're out of so many things. I've actually returned here the last two Saturdays solely because I thought they deserved more chances - maybe I had come on really busy Saturdays previously? Nope, that's just a typical Saturday at Crave. I genuinely do not understand why they do not increase their production - they are missing out on insane amounts of money by not doing so. The owners are the best & always have smiles on their faces for everyone that walks in the door. For the breakfast sandwiches, we always get the fluffy pita because it is THE BEST.
