Well, unfortunately my previous stellar review no longer holds. We've been shopping at this Crate & Barrel for close to 10 years and have always had good experiences. We've ordered furniture, all of our everyday serving ware is from here, as well as a ton of our small appliances and Le Creuset. With that being said, our most recent furniture order turned into one of the strangest customer service experiences I've ever had. We received a damaged custom sleeper sectional and ottoman. Initially, we wanted the damage repaired and, if it couldn't be, asked whether a partial credit might be an option rather than replacing everything. Repair was offered, which we preferred. Their tech Javier came out, was great, and ultimately confirmed the damage couldn't be repaired. We were offered a replacement, which we seriously considered. I again asked whether keeping the damaged furniture for a partial credit was also an option given that a replacement would take another 10ish weeks and involved replacing the entire base. Somehow, simply asking that question turned into our salesperson, Denise, deciding we had wanted money back "from the outset," researching the property records for our home, questioning whether we actually closed escrow and owned our home, and even suggesting my husband could have manipulated the timestamps on pictures he took the day of delivery. I'm sorry, but what? All that had to be said was, "No, I'm sorry that's not an option, but we are happy to offer a replacement." Even worse, two managers were copied on these emails and neither stepped in, even after I specifically asked for management to take over multiple times. The General Store Manager eventually reached out after Corporate became involved, but despite me responding twice, we still haven't actually connected. After all of this, I started looking through the more recent Yelp and Google reviews for this location and honestly wish I had done that before ordering. Complaints about customer service and management come up over and over again, including reviews calling out specific employees. Clearly our experience isn't the only one. I will absolutely give credit where it's due--Crate & Barrel Executive Customer Service was fantastic. Juliann was wonderful, reviewed everything, followed up consistently, and gave us several reasonable options. But customers shouldn't have to escalate something to Executive Customer Service to receive that level of customer service when dealing with their local store. Unfortunately, Corporate making it right doesn't change how we feel about this particular store. After almost 10 years of shopping here, we've lost confidence in the customer service and management at this location and genuinely don't feel comfortable shopping here anymore. Really disappointing. These people are incompetent. Don't order anything for delivery from this store. On May 24th 2026 I walked into the store and immediately saw a beautiful outdoor set on display. A whole collection of items all belonged to the set including two chairs, two side tables, a large center table, a large couch, an umbrella, throw pillows and various other accessories like center pieces and lights for the table. I bought everything. I spent about 12k on the entire set. It was the beginning of summer and I was moving into a new house and thought this would be a great addition to the new backyard. I pictured myself sitting outside and enjoying the entire summer from this beautiful outdoor set. I bought this in the Beverly Hills store with a manager who works there. She had me told me that it would take until July 14th to receive all the items. I thought this was a longer than usual time considering it was May 24th at the time of purchase and that it was the center of attention in the store. It was on full display as you walk into the store. If you went into the store you would surely notice this first. Why would you market a product so heavily if it wasn't in stock? Meanwhile, today is August 6th 2026. We've had the delivery scheduled for 1-2 weeks for a delivery window of 10 am to 12 pm. 7:30 am comes and the delivery people call me and say they don't have all of the items. They are missing the couch. 10 am comes. They arrive (I had to take off work to be at the house for the delivery) and they bring the umbrella, 1 side table, 1 chair and the center table. That's it. So now it's my job to hunt down SKU numbers and stay on hold for an hour to try to figure out what's missing. I ordered this stuff 2.5 months ago. Horrible experience with Crate & Barrel Beverly Hills. The only credit I can give them is that the quality of their stuff is pretty good. So if anything, go in and buy your items but I would never order delivery from them. I furnished almost my entire home from Crate & Barrel assuming it's a great brand and quality. Unfortunately, three of my dining chairs fell apart. Their most popular selling sofa looks horrible just after a year and also broke down not to mention the main frame snapped in half on the arm. Looks horrible not because of misuse but because of the quality it was made from . I was hesitant to leave a negative remark. I came to Crate & Barrel recently because I needed some kitchen supplies. I was greeted right when I walked into the store which was very nice. I had specific items I was looking for and the lovely associate, Nella, helped me find them with ease. I've had mixed experiences at this location in the past with customer service but this particular visit was a 5 star experience. There are not many places in the area to shop for kitchen supplies. Crate & Barrel carries my favorite and trusted name brands such as Le Creuset, Kitchenaid, Greenpan, Scanpan, Breville, All-Clad, Smeg etc. My family cooks most of our meals at home because we like to eat healthy so having high quality kitchen supplies and cookware is important to us. There is a clearance section in the kitchenware section on the first floor. The had some good items but the savings weren't huge on this visit. This location has a top floor with furniture. It's pretty modern and basic. Nothing too fancy but indeed, practical. I did find a chair that I liked on my browse around the upstairs. It's not the style for my home nor do I need a chair but it was oh so comfy! Crate & Barrel also has curbside pick up when you order online! Metered parking on the street. Free 2 hour parking in the public parking lot next door. There are two parking lots there so make sure to park in the one that says "Public Parking." read more

i love going to different crate and barrel and just explore and see what they have that other locations don't have. i always end up buying a lot for my kitchen and it's always a great experience but this location i did not enjoy one bit. i loved how it looked from the outside and inside was so huge i was browsing and i see a worker just standing behind me not asking anything not smiling just observing me. and i just go about my day and start grabbing things that im going to purchase. i move to the glasses and still she's around my area and doesn't ask me if i need help just observing until later she finally asks me if i need help. i did not like that worker at all because she was just hovering over me and watching my every move even though i moved to different areas she was always behind me. i was going to take a jar but placed it down by the glasses when i was looking at them. She came up to me and stated didn't you have something else in your hand that you were going to take and was eyeing my purse. i completely forgot i left it by the glasses and stated where it was at and that i'm purchasing it as well. i had a question about a product and went up to another worker and she was helping me and being so genuine and nice and the most unbelievable thing happened is that the worker that was hovering over me decide to cut into my conversation with this lovely lady that was helping me and was just looking at us. AND also hovered it was unbelievable. Did she think i was going to steal just because its Rodeo Drive and i was dressed in comfortable clothes that did not meet her expectations ? I don't know what is happening here, but after reading the reviews about this store location, it shows time and time again the staff is not up to par with the Crate and Barrel image. It sounds like some of the staff members are rude to their customers and I can attest to that as I've experienced that today, myself. Now, I'm not sure how the rest of the employees are, but the person I am going to mention is a lady named Araina. Honestly, I thought maybe it was a one-off situation, but I got on Yelp and wanted to see the history of the recent posts as I rely on this medium as my go-to info for reviews and I noticed there were a ton of negative comments regarding the staff and how they are to their customers. My Story: I had asked one of the members on the first floor where the bathroom was and an employee had advised that it was upstairs near a certain wall. I went upstairs and could not find the bathroom so, I had asked the nearest employee where it was. A middle-aged lady with red glasses and long straight hair behind the counter (Araina) closest to the window towards the street. She answered with "the bathroom is for customers only." Right then and there, I was surprised that she had even mentioned that to me. Which I had responded that I am a customer. Then she gave me another look as if I was lying to her. Then says it's only for paying customers. Mind you, I've NEVER been treated this way before and I was livid. LIVID. She then starts to "guilt trip" me into saying that this is the stores policy and repeats it's for customers. I'm not the type to confront people publicly. I also don't know if she was having a bad day (and have a level of empathy for people), but the way I was treated doesn't allow her to be a not-so-kind individual. To be honest, I felt like I was targeted as if I was "another Asian tourist." I know people reading this might think I may be pulling the race card, but I don't encounter this type of behavior from others and I think it comes from a place of entitlement. Everything about that interaction really ticked me off. Like I said, I'm not the one to publicly shame people for their behavior even though I know it wasn't right what they did. If it was the company policy, how do they judge who is a customer or not. Why did the employee downstairs direct me to where the bathroom was but not the person on the 2nd floor? If it's policy, then why wasn't everyone consistent in saying that it's for paying customers only. Does that mean they only target specific people or is that what they say to everyone? Highly unlikely or else a lot of people would have felt insulted. Why do I need to defend myself if I was a customer or not? Things I think their corporate office should really look into when it comes to training on the floor and interacting with customers. Not once in my 35 years have I ever felt like I wasn't welcomed into a store. What even bothers me the most is that I actually love Crate and Barrel and even CB2 because of its aesthetics and style and quality. Let's say I didn't purchase an item, am I not considered a customer? It just baffles me how she said it. I will say, the staff member who rang me up was sweet though. I described Araina's physical features and the cashier had identified her. I felt bad to put her in an awkward position but told her that my encounter with Araina left a really bad taste. She had asked if I wanted this info to be told to anyone else and it was her choice to let Araina know or a manager. I walked into this location excited to buy an entire new kitchen set: dishes, cookware, and more. Unfortunately, my experience with one of the sales associates completely changed my plans. When I approached a saleswoman to ask about a specific type of plate, she seemed irritated from the start. As I described what I was looking for, she actually said I was "giving her a headache" and that she was "getting a headache trying to understand" me. Her tone and body language were dismissive, and the options she showed me weren't even close to what I had described. I ended up finding the exact item on my own. But at that point, I was so uncomfortable and embarrassed by how she treated me that I left the store altogether. I'm happy to provide the exact date and time I was in the store so management can review the video footage and see what occurred firsthand. I strongly suggest that management and the leadership team provide proper customer service training, especially for front-facing staff. When customers walk in ready to make a purchase, they deserve to be treated with respect and basic courtesy. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this location. ------- UPDATE: I decided to give Crate & Barrel BH a second chance and went back to the store recently. Unfortunately, my experience was very similar to the first one. I interacted with three different employees, and there continued to be a noticeable lack of interest in helping customers. I asked for assistance with a specific item, and although I eventually received help and did end up making a purchase, it felt like pulling teeth to get basic answers or guidance. The store was very slow at the time I walked in, so it wasn't an issue of them being busy or overwhelmed. Overall, it seems like the staff at this location are focused on doing the bare minimum rather than providing genuine customer service. Whether it's a management issue or something else, the employees would really benefit from some training on how to engage with customers and offer support. The most unpleasant customer service I have encountered. I went to the location to order a bar cart for an upcoming event. The staff ordered the wrong color which we discovered upon delivery. The staff and manager did not recognize the mistake when I went back in store to look for a solution. They both refused to offer alternatives, such as letting me purchase the floor sample, or expedite shipping. And insisted that I should pay for another bar cart while awaiting for a refund, which will not be shipped by the event date. The manager insisted that I "(am not) loosing anything". I saw a dining room chair on C&B's website that I was interested in ordering. We went to this store and they did not have the chair on display, at that store or anywhere else in SoCal. We asked if we could order it to the store and try it out there, and the person we talked to encouraged us to do so. I ordered it, it came in, and we drove back to the store to check it out. They said "unfortunately, if we unwrap the chair, we would have to charge you a restocking fee if you don't want it". So we literally could not even look at the chair in person without committing to paying a restock fee, and the store was clearly not willing to take the L for what could have been a $2000 purchase. We ordered thousands of dollars worth of furniture back in August, after dealing with one rude employee downstairs we went upstairs where "JR" helped us place the order. Not even 20 minutes later, someone calls and says they "forgot to put one of the pieces on the truck"... ummmm what???? Like, really? Needless to say, the delivery never happened. We called the general customer service line and they said it's not delivered because of COVID....????? Noooo it wasn't delivered because it wasn't "on the truck". Well, here's the truth... after talking to yet another employee.... it was actually BACKORDERED and it was never actually on the truck or warehouse at all. They had no idea why we had a delivery appointment!!?! There are serious communication problems with this company, especially when FOUR employees all have different excuses for us not getting the furniture the day of our delivery. Today, we get an email that our couch will have two pieces available at the end of December and one piece is backordered. Are you kidding me???? Long story short... don't waste your time and money. Crate & Barrel SCAMMED ME. I bought furniture from them in April, and they delivered defective items in May. I tried to get them replaced as soon as I received them, and they agreed, but the replacements were in even worse condition than the originals. After four long months of dealing with this nonsense, I decided to return the defective items because they failed to replace them. All customer service representatives agreed to the return and refund. However, the corporate customer service supervisor, Shannon D., decided to put my order on "final sale," changing the original terms of the purchase. She refused to continue the replacements or allow me to return the items for a refund. She walked away with my money, acting like a complete scam and blatantly violating consumer protection laws. To make matters worse, the C&B delivery team caused damage to my property during the delivery service because they came smoking weed and they were high and unfocused. And the supervisor, Shannon D., just walked away from the destruction in my property, refusing to pay for the repairs. My experience with this corporate customer service supervisor, Shannon D., was horrific. Instead of addressing the issue and showing any problem-solving skills, she decided to punish and discriminate against me, refusing to replace my furniture or pay for the damage in my home simply because I pointed out the truth of her unprofessional and careless behavior. I've never encountered a supervisor so shameless, irrational, and narcissistic who RETALIATES against customers. This woman is going to drag Crate & Barrel down!.. Because of her terrible management, hundreds of customers are complaining and dissatisfied; and many lawyers are lining up to offer class action lawsuits against this fraudulent operation. Save your money and don't buy from Crate & Barrel--just go directly to RH or Arhaus, which are far more reputable and serious companies! Waited total of 30 minutes at 2 different registers and no one even bothered to help us. Plenty of chiefs but no Indians to actually help the customers. When we left our items with the cashier frustrated, their attitude was one of no big deal. Extremely unorganized and process was very inefficient. You need 2-3 staff members to resolve complex customer issues, the rest can help with fast checkouts. You are penalizing those with fast checkouts to have to wait until those complex problems are resolved which can take longer than just few minutes. Very poorly managed store!!!! read more

This would be a five-star review if all I considered were the product, but unfortunately, this location falls short in management. I am surprised there are no complaints from this elderly lady who was at the store at the same time I was dealing with a problematic return, a few days ago. The way the manager (I believe his name is Hugo, a bald and short man with a nasty attitude) treated her was appalling, with no respect for her age and no attempt at all to meet her in the middle. When he walked over to "help" me I was already expecting something bad considering the way he was speaking to her (I think she was trying to understand how to use a product and he told her to look online, instead of offering to help) but man... what I got was much worse. I have never been in the presence of such a dismissive and arrogant person before, and the way he addressed his employees, waving his hands, pointing and talking down and over them... I am shocked he still has any left. Sadly, someone like this is allowed to run a store of this caliber; where are his bosses to manage him? Where I generally shop in Northern California people are kind, they listen, and they try to accommodate their guests. I understand there are limits to what people can and can't do, but to walk into a conversation with a bad attitude without even putting down his laptop is an abomination. **INVENTORY PEST ISSUE** MAJOR ISSUE - Love the OCEANSIDE SOFA - however am having a major issue with it coming with SMALL SPIDERS (Gross). Customer Support has been extremely standoff-ish and blaming US for the issue(unacceptable). Im simply trying to either get a replacement delivered without the pest issue, or a credit or refund so i can get a new sofa. Happy to have this one picked up by CB. I made an appointment with their design service a few months ago. They emailed me an hour before the appointment and cancelled. I made another appointment this week. This time, no one even showed up. I called at the appointed time and they said someone could come later. Somehow I doubt there will be any follow up. Very disappointing especially because I do like Crate and Barrel furniture. I'm sorry to say but they have the Worst customer service I ever head ! I order a bed 6 weeks ago cost me 3,000 I schedule a delivery date and they show up without the bed saying that it's can't be delivered till Oc 1 witch is almost 4 month after I placed my order I talked to Lisa the " Manager " and norlan and they can't give me a solution they said it's pushback because of COVID-19 I don't like that a corporations are given an excuse of Covid to not bring your Servis Covd is over Business are usual for the paste 1 year and they still using that excuse And I need to sleep on my mattresses for anther 2 month !! I have no idea what is going on in these Covid times, but the sales associates here are so extra and even more rude than usual. I wanted this cake stand and my sales associate was pushing me to take the store display that had all these scratches on it, so I asked if she could grab one in the back. Well, Karen seemed like she didn't want to, saying in a exasperated "I don't know if we have any more in the back.... I'll have to check." I knew it was gonna go downhill from here with that unnecessary attitude. Just say, no problem! And check. Is it really so hard? Indeed, it gets worse. When I asked if someone could assist with me by helping me to carry some of my purchase (I'm pregnant and want to avoid carrying some heavy items) she suggested that I do the curbside pickup in the back. I've done that before and it's hard to find parking and you have to wait super long, so I say no thanks. She insists and was pushy about it. When a customer says no, please stop being so pushy. I was going to buy two cake stands but since I have to carry it myself I stick with one. Final straw was when I saw her attempting to stuff all the items in one large plastic bag. I asked to have her put half the items in a paper bag was she really got annoyed, "I ALREADY told you we are out of paper bags" Then started scolding me about the global shortages!! First of all, I don't recall her saying that. And secondly, I didn't realize she was an economic professor on the side. Note: there is no shortages, the price of paper products has risen and it looks like Crate & Barrel is trying to save on cost by switching to non environmentally friendly plastic bags. I am so over dealing with rude sales people. I don't understand why they aren't trained properly to be nice and polite? Honestly, can they just have a few self checkouts so I can avoid dealing with such unpleasant banter. The items at C&B are amazing, but the in person shopping experience is a big fat zero. read more

Customer service is bad in Woodland Hills location. Shelves are not organized and if you need any help with any question you have to wait and wait. Specially when you try to return unused items. Overpriced compare to quality of William Sonoma and Sur La Table. read more
