This store wins 5 stars on customer service!…read more I called Friday last afternoon and inquired on a specific item I'm looking for and was lucky to speak with Jose. Not only did he chat with me for a few minutes on what I was looking for but then emailed me photos of things he thought might fit the bill. Now that's what I'm talking about!!! So all the customer service that has gone from every chain store - this is where it ended up... Who knew! Jose was very up front with me that his pieces were probably out of my price range but that did not stop him from helping anyway and he might just get a customer outta me yet. I did visit the store the next day just because of his kind treatment of me on the phone and it was a lovely store. I've got my eye on a piece that if it is still there after I save more; I might get it or at the very least I have a new option for any future pieces. Make sure to get directions to the store before you hit the rode. I never even knew there was store's where Tara is located and it's a little gem. Thanks Jose - hope to see you again.

The items on display here…read moreare as creative as they are unique and you'll have fun even walking around to get some inspiration for your home decor. The wood paneling details on some of the furniture pieces are pretty neat and make you appreciate how furniture is such a craft! The best part is the display items- all sorts of animal-themed items that make the house a fun place not just for kids but adults, too. Pro-tip try to park near Trader Joe's since there's way more parking out there and the walk is super short! Gotta think back to the other similar competing stores. There's Pier 1 Imports down in the LA area, which does carry some pretty eclectic items- one of my favorites being a single person hammock chair. But I guess that was when I was a bachelor. Now my idea of a splurge but must-needed furniture item is a round hammock swing that's big enough to fit me, the wife, and the kids. Also a puppy. Which brings me to my next point- before you pick out furniture, make sure you think about material! Cannot emphasize this enough- everything in a furniture store will always look pristine and clean, but have you given any thought to how long you want this piece? Will it look as good if it's white cotton and absorbs moisture like a sponge cake? Consider if a covering for the furniture piece is an option and/or if it would actually look nice. There's nothing like going to your uncle's house where a nice piece of furniture was covered with a nice cloth to protect it, then an older cloth was put over the nice cloth to protect the cloth, so that by the time they have an important guest coming and want to show off the original piece of furniture, it's already been worn down! Keep your timeline close to the front of your mind folks! Here is some home decor inspiration to get you started: https://havenly.com/?g_acctid=395-720-2481&g_campaign=Non-Brand%20%7C%20Generic%20%7C%20Beta&g_campaignid=9212118402&g_adgroupid=93671120099&g_adid=415598032010&g_keyword=%2Bhome%20%2Bdecorations&g_keywordid=kwd-298899874217&g_network=g&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=%2Bhome%20%2Bdecorations&utm_content=415598032010&utm_matchtype=b&utm_adgroupid=93671120099&utm_keyword=%2Bhome%20%2Bdecorations&utm_campaign=SEM_NB_Generic_Alpha&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIodO-opHe5wIV7x-tBh1ndQbxEAAYASAAEgJwLfD_BwE

You'll be inspired to switch up your whole decor aesthetic after just one visit! A friend recommended we check them out when we moved into a new house and our beloved couch that we'd literally had for decades... like while we were just dating... was not working in our new space. We needed a custom size and wanted the L shape to create a scenario where our family of four could curl up together and make key memories before the kids head off to college in a few years. We had never designed a couch before but definitely had some thoughts and ideas. The staff were there for it and vibed with us on it over multiple visits, calls, and emails. It was a BIG step for us and they held our hands the whole way. We must have sat on every couch there over the course of 3 visits and in the end, designed with them the PERFECT couch. Everyone was completely lovely. But here's where it gets really good. My husband wanted a low, deep, lounge style but I felt like I needed a little more stucture so we combined the styles of two couches, keeping it low and loungey but adding a second row of cushions so you or a guest can choose if you want to be laid back or more upright. It's the best of wboth worlds and completely flexible for older guests who would be swallowed up in a couch this deep. It's gorgeous... we sat down with them (on that couch!) and plotted it all out, with the L facing the right way in our house to make sense and bring the space to life. Mady hand-sketched it all up right then and there. The delivery team was so nice and lovingly unpacked the whole thing and were so sweet when I had a major brain fog moment and freaked out that they had made a mistake and designed the L facing the WRONG WAY! In quite a panic, I called the shop and reached Noa, who calmly dealt with my extreme freak out. The delivery team patiently waited for the whole thing and consoled me as I shed a few tears. Noa offered to come take a look at it IN MY HOME to assess the situation. A few days later, I'm walking through my home with them (Noa and her mom, the owner!) and we are all chatting about how it actually looks awesome in the orientation that it's in. I still had sworn that I didn't design it that way but agreed that it actually felt like I should have. They were calm, poised, creative, open, and completely invested in making sure their handmade piece felt perfect in my space. They were not aggressive nor accusatory... just there to see how best to resolve the issue, knowing that it was a custom-built piece. And they were lovely humans as well. We talked about art and design, building a business from the ground up, and the challenges with keeping a small business afloat during economic downturns and worldwide pandemics. Months later, I realized that no one made any mistakes and we actually designed it just like this, and it's been my absolute favorite thing in my home ever since. I think about this experience often, and I'm so grateful for their graceful reaction and approach. The couch itself is a standout in the space and sets the tone for the rest of our decor. It's comfortable beyond belief. It's easy to maintain, has held its shape for years now, and is easy to clean. We got it in a cream fabric, so that was a worry, but they taught us how to care for it easily! Not only does it hold our whole family, but a lot more people when the kids have friends over. It has helped shape not only our space from a design perspective but in how we interact within the space and with each other. And we get so many compliments on it. The quality and craftsmanship are unmatched. We couldn't be happier. THANK YOU! But what really stands out is that in this age of faster, cheaper, AI, and automation, this company is a family business of artisans that care deeply for the products they craft and the impact on their customers and clients. They want you to love the pieces you bring home, and they care to work with you until you do. They love art and design, so definitely take their suggestions!! Their pieces show that love and care and offer you a heightened level of quality and comfort. They are well worth the price, and I hope that you will pop your head in the shop and judge for yourself. You may just bring home a new piece that feels like an extension of your own family. You won't regret it!! I recommend them to all my friends and anyone looking for new furniture. They are the BEST!

But when LUIS, one of the family owners, got word and took over... I could not be happier with the outcome. As a business owner I KNOW beyond ALL DOUBT that you CANNOT have a flawless experience every time NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU WANT IT. The truth of a great business is HOW you handle the bad experiences and make good on your commitment. Not everyone can be made happy but the important part is that you know you did what was right. They DID WHAT WAS RIGHT and THEN SOME MORE and for that they get all the respect and appreciation I can share with another business owner. Short version of the long story IF you are still reading. They sent me a GLORIOUS art piece for my office. It ended up TOO BIG to get down the hall despite all my planning (entirely my fault) so I had to hire a contractor to take a window out, get it through the window and reinstall. That took weeks after delivery. BUT a few weeks later I am sitting on my couch and my friend declares "shit, it's already torn!". Not quite right, it had an unseen seam, hidden in the pleat. Every time you sat on it, it spread and showed the batting. For WEEKS I fought with staff about it being addressed. They offered solutions then retracted them as not being achievable. Each time we discussed one thing the employee ghosted me for weeks. When the owner took over, he accepted no excuses, owned the problem and dealt with the employee. Then he arranges to ENTIRELY REMAKE the couch to an EVEN BETTER OUTCOME (and I am sure at some significant expense). I had to hire a contractor again to get the old one out (my expense agreeably because THAT was my error not theirs), but he covered all the return shipping, REDESIGNED the entire couch to better specs both for my own staure (made it a bit shorter and a bit less deep, NOT and easy redesign for a mid-century piece like this), made the fusion removable to ensure heirloom longevity and the ability to reupholster in the future, gave me a batting/fill upgrade, changed out the leather to an upgrade, AND stayed on top of communication with me the whole time. 100% satisfied and then some. Many thanks guys. In terms of spending money with a company... I would do it again for sure when I am ready.

But the problem was, the rug I saw on their website was the one I wanted--nay, *needed.* I had searched high and low for the perfect rug for my living room and when I found it on the L+G website, I was devastated to learn that so many customers had had such unsavory experiences. The thing is, I couldn't stop thinking about the Tahj hand-knotted rug, and they were having a huge sale that I felt compelled to take advantage of. Both rugs I ordered were listed as "in stock and ships in 5-7 days" so I took a chance. And I am so glad I did. I placed my order for 2 rugs (The Tahj and the Saffron runner) and 2 coordinating rug pads on 2/17. The rug pads arrived on 2/25 and both rugs arrived on 2/27. They are absolutely STUNNING. I'm Persian and Turkish--I was born into rug culture, so I have high standards; I am in awe of these rugs and delighted to invite them into my home. It's a bummer that L+G has not been consistent with their shipping + customer service, but I'm hoping my positive experience + review might help someone else who is smitten with one of their rugs to see that sometimes they do get it right.
