The flagship two story store is beautifully curated and well maintained. Everything they carry is lovely. The luxury store sells jewelry, watches, home decor, and fine dining sets. It's a great place to register and also a nice place to find a special gift for someone or yourself. There are plenty of associates to help if you have questions but you can also browse the store independently without being bothered or pushed to make a purchase. Another associate from 1st floor came up and helped me place order, picked up 4dishes, came home and opened a wrapping.... they put 2dishes in one hermes box. for each. which I need them individually in a box as they are gifts.... they did this for both... so I bought 4 hermes plates and they put them in 2hermes boxes.... and those are selling individually, and not sure why they would just put them both in one box. never had this issue at Hermes.... Came to purchase a travel watch case for, incidentally, a pricey watch bought days earlier.."Brittany" asked if I needed help...then the eye rolling and faces begun when I didn't want to provide extra personal info, but wanted just to pay and be out of there. After paying, she sent me to deal with the stocking people, who, as she said, needed to get it from downstair in 10 min or so. I asked her to deal with her stock people and get it to me, I figured service wise the least she could do as a salesperson. She refused, and ran somewhere else. Tried to order a strap for my patek. They refused to send me pictures over txt and told me I needed to come into the store. They said they need to insure the sizing is correct, I told her that it's the same stock strap that comes on the watch just a different color. They also said they cannot ship the strap because they need to install it on the watch and can't just send it to me. The strap comes with a quick release springbar so no tools are even needed to make the change. This is laughable "luxury" service and experience. What a joke. I just called another boutique and got the strap ordered and shipped within minutes. Hope you didn't piss off too many people during the watch craze so you can stay open during the upcoming recession. read more

Was my first time in there yesterday as I'm looking for a 126233 for my fiancée to match my 41 I just bought in Switzerland a week ago. I've decided to circle back to Rolex after a few years of going in a different direction. I'm a fan of the new 3235 that they build. The craziness of tracking one down right now is half the fun. My fellow collector suggested I stop by Gearys. While the store is nice it seems I caught the sales associate, Ms Danica Cooperstone, on a rather bad day. Her personality was drier than fire wood. I think she believed I was maybe not a real buyer/collector as I was dressed pretty casual and had somewhat greasy hair (I was on my Harley all day to save time in traffic). I also have an eastern European accent and I know there's lots of tourists & window shoppers that probably go in there wasting everyones time. She was very short with her answers, constantly cutting me off mid-sentence and she gave a vibe of not really wanting me in there and kept telling me that Rolex models are very hard to find right now. I tried to explain to her that I am very much and fully aware of what currently is happening in the watch - and specifically - the Rolex world and that I am not new to that world. I explained to her that even with my 41 it was, in all honesty, luck finding it at Bucherer in Luzern. After establishing that I have not bought at Gearys before she then suggested, in a snarky tone, that I ask there again - as if I'm dumb and it hadn't already crossed my mind to have Bucherer call me when they get it. I tried to explain to Ms Cooperstone that me stopping by was more about me wanting to come to Gearys in person, since I had never been there, more so to open the door for a friendship and future business (I purchase about 5-7 timepieces from various Swiss brands per year) and, again explained, that I understand she won't have the Rolex I am looking for right this moment but that I'd like to become part of the family at Gearys when they do get it. She was unimpressed and took a notepad and scribbled down my info. When I said I also am looking for other models with 3235 I think she lost interest and simply didn't think I was for real. I thanked her for her time and left. It took me a day to realize what really rubbed me the wrong way about Danica Cooperstone, and it isn't the fact that Ms Cooperstone doesn't know who I am or what I buy but-I realized finally-it's the fact that she didn't smile once. She gave me the vibe they don't need me there. More so she gave me a vibe SHE doesn't want to be there - talking to me. In contrast, for example, to the OMEGA boutique at the Beverly Center -where for the last 2 weeks they have been bending backwards with the nicest attitude while trying to find me a FOIS - (311.32.40.30.01.001 which are discontinued). The staff at OMEGA was so damn friendly I guess I expected the same at Gearys down the street. Actually - the staff pretty much everywhere else over the last 4 weeks watch hunting has been friendlier than at Gearys. Smile, Danica, it goes a long way. Enthusiasm is contagious, sadly so is the lack of it. If I wanted a dead-boring experience I would have called one of my music business managers or talked to one of my 226 agents at Berkshire and not wasted my time driving to you. People will remember the experience - both good and bad. People will also remember the person that gave them the experience. Especially people that do NOT come from money. I walked into your store all excited and left taking your advice: I'll wait for Bucherer to take my money. At least there the sales person smiles when I say I'm there to buy 2-3 watches and brings me a coffee. I've attached a picture of one of my 1966 6240s and recently purchased 126333 for Ms Cooperstone as I would hate for her to think I was wasting her time. Came here to exchange earrings I got for Christmas. Arlene helped me out through the process and she was amazing! She helped me find earrings in my price range and was hesitant to show me anything above my price range (unless I asked). She is so friendly and sweet. She also has a fun sense of humor! She helped me exchange my earrings for some Robero Coin gold hoops and I cannot be more happy! She made the process super easy. I love Roberto Coin jewelry. The earrings are light and don't make my earlobes sag like other earrings. I don't live close to the store so she was able to ship me the earrings, once I made a decision. She was very communicative and was easy to talk to (we texted via her personal cell). The store itself is super clean and professional. There were no fingerprints on the glass. The restroom smelt amazing! I had no idea Gearys sold more than just jewelry! They also sell vases, candles, picture frames, sculptures, watches and so much more. There is a security guard and door opener which was super nice since it was pouring rain outside. This store is in the heart of Beverly Hills so it's hard not to go shopping at other designer stores nearby. Parking can be tricky as its meter parking on the street. We decided to go the Saturday of that weekend for some holiday shopping. The store is in the thick of Beverly Hills, on one of the busy commercial stretches right near Rodeo. It was a whole scene when we went, a lot of people taking advantage of the sale. Definitely a Beverly Hills crowd. We saw a woman in her 30s shopping with her 70-year-old husband and her crocodile Birkin. Power to her, but if I had to sleep with that guy, I would not shop at Gearys on sale day. Service was friendly, but it took a long time to get any help, just because there were so many customers. We browsed the whole store. Tons of pretty, expensive things, from jewelry to home wares to a giant Christmas tree loaded with precious ornaments. There were lovely figurines and exquisite barware; endless candles, including several as big as potted plants, ideal white elephant gifts if you've got money to burn. We picked out gifts for each other--matching decorative trays for our house--and a gift for my parents--a pewter wine holder. It took us a while to check out, and we had to wait another hour to get our gifts wrapped, as it must've been North Pole crazy in the wrapping room. We ended up spending like three hours in Beverly Hills. I love everything we've gotten at Gearys, though, and hope to go again for the same sale next year.
