Bottom Line: Furniture, house wares, kitchen gadgets and décor in a two-story location. The style of furniture at Crate & Barrell isn't quite my style but I still enjoy shopping in this store at Annapolis Mall for other goodies. I like that I can cruise into Crate & Barrel without having to go into the mall. The downstairs of the store is mostly kitchen and dining stuff, housewares and seasonal decor while the upstairs of the store is mostly furniture and bathroom accessories. The store is always nicely organized and clean and I find most of their offerings to be good quality. Also, the staff is knowledgeable about the products and friendly. read more

A wonderful sale at Crate & Barrel over the holidays! And Miss Virginia was wonderful in assist me with a large purchase. The manager that worked directly with her, I believe his name may be Nick was extremely helpful as well. However, it was a little concerning that I've been to the store twice, entered through the second floor and wasn't greeted by anyone; noticed they greeted others. We don't have a Crate & Barrel in Baltimore anymore, so I had to pick up something I ordered at this store in Annapolis. The service for curbside pickup was great, but I wandered into the store (and the rest of the mall before I got back in the car to return to Baltimore). The store isn't large, but it's a fine Crate & Barrel. I just don't know all these stores stay open (or I guess they don't - evidenced by the fact that Baltimore's just closed), because they have a lot less than online. It's sometimes helpful to see the product in person, but it's not as if the stores have everything you can shop from. Fun to wander through more for smaller items (glassware, vases, etc.) rather than furniture. read more

Oh Crate & Barrel, you just get me. With your modern furniture, useful kitchen appliances/gadgets, seasonal decor, and helpful staff...it's a decorators dream! Sleek lines, quality and sound construction, and of course, very stylish and unique pieces are always sure to turn your guest heads when they come to visit. I remember some years ago when I first purchased my house that I did some major damage here for my new home. Fast forward 10 years later and I'm still coming here periodically to search for great finds. Yes, C&B can be a bit pricey and down right expensive, hence the 4 stars and not 5, but you do get what you pay for and I've had truly unique items purchased from here. My most recent stop was for the after Christmas sale for ornaments and other Christmas decor. They didn't disappoint! I must admit, this isn't my first store that I stop in for my home, but I make a point to stop by when sales are happening. I usually score an excellent buy when I do! read more

We had a wonderful furniture shopping experience at Crate & Barrel Annapolis. I've been searching for months for a living room accent chair. Crate & Barrel has a really nice selection of furniture and home accessories. I'm so happy that I found the perfect chair (Davis swivel) at a very reasonable price. The fabric selections were also great! So many beautiful, modern styles to choose from-- many at no additional cost! Compared to other furniture stores, C&B exceeded many of my expectations. So lucky to have walked in when I did! Was having lunch at the restaurant next door, decided to take a look inside and it was instant magic! I am a new first time home owner and Crate & Barrel was like everything that I've ever dreamed of when it came to ideas, inspiration and functionality. The store is really nice, warm, and inspiring. It's easy for me to feel overwhelmed in furniture stores, but Crate & Barrel offers so much variety, that didn't happen! So many fresh looks! I was as excited as a kid in Disney World! The biggest part of my positive experience was the customer service that I received from Stacy! OMG! She was amazingly friendly, and very passionate about what she does. She's super talented. Ideas and visions just roll off of her brain, and she also stands strongly behind the C&B brand. She is extremely knowledgeable about all of their products and she's just such a joy to work with! After our interaction, we signed up for the C&B premium design service, where they come out to your home, and take pics and come up with ideas for your home, put it all together, and send you 3D digital models. I had my in home visit with Stacy today, and let's just say, I cannot wait for the finished product. She really helped to bring my ideas to life! My hopes were dashed as I walked the whole store without receiving any help! Only when I sought out help, I was passed from customer service representative to another and finally received help. By this point, I was not only disheartened, but unsatisfied. I loved my items but not my service enough to give them my money. Instead the employees and manager stood around and conversed together and failed to greet or go behind the cash register to initiate the return process (if standing in line by the sign that says "line starts here" is not obvious enough, we had a huge Crate and Barrel bag) ..... Later as we were leaving, I noticed Mary (Manager) - not so subtly as she thought - racially profiling us when we were glancing at kitchenware. This is a great store with lots of trendy, comfortable and stylish furniture pieces. Nice alternative to the normal styles you'll find in the other big furniture stores. I love the clean lines and am sucked in as soon as I see their window displays. They have everything from sofas and bedroom sets to kitchen tables, dining room sets and accessories. The two story store is a manageable size to stop in anytime I'm at the mall to check on sales and specials. I like to get decorating ideas and they have kitchenware and accessories that make good gifts. I love this company, chain, and have always had positive shopping experiences at all stores. Recently I went to pick up specific items, the Sedona Hamper and the grey and white striped hamper. The store had the Sedona Hamper (on the floor display) and sales associate Jessica F ordered me the striped hamper. Originally I was going to pick up the hamper once it was in stock and delivered to the Annapolis store but she kindly had it shipped (free of cost) to my home. I am awaiting the shipment (takes about 1-2 weeks) but I appreciate not having to go back to the store though it wasn't that big of a deal. She was very friendly and courteous and really seemed to enjoy working in the store and believes in the brands offered at C & B. It was nice to be assisted but not in a pushy way (she did mention the Credit card but at this time I was not interested). Will be back soon! Also the layout of the store is always appealing and things are never messy. As a shopper I appreciate that and am more inclined to buy when things are staged and properly displayed. read more

I ordered two sets of rug pads over last month. In both cases they said they would call or text when they came in in next week or so. The first order they never called and I found it was there when I stopped at store. For the second order they called twice and said both new rug pads were in. When I made the trek to store I discovered they only had one. I will not order any other items from crate and Barrel, since they obviously don't check their deliveries stock and waste customer's time. Lots of salespeople there, but very poorly trained. Picking up merchandise in stock is firm, but ordering is a disaster. I'm going to my rug/flooring store for future orders (Amazon does not carry this version of rug pads). Customer Service is non-existent. Offered to ship Remaining pad when it comes in, but I'm not risking not having a direct in-person delivery with these folks. Found out Overstock.com carries these rug pads. Good selection of sizes and delivered in a few days. read more

I purchased the best couch from crate & barrell. The staff was helpful in making the purchase and getting the delivery set up for me. The staff also talked through what colors and other decorations would look good to decorate my apartment, without being overly pushy or sales-y. The furniture is not cheap, but the quality is amazing and worth the cost, in my opinion. Definitely recommend looking here for home furnishings. read more

Every time that I've come to into this store, I have had nothing but good experiences. The staff is helpful, kind, and gracious. When I did my wedding registry, the staff was quick to help and lend advice, instructions, and suggestions! When there was a shipping malfunction, the staff was eager to help. If there was a problem, the staff was quick to respond and gave a quick solution - without putting any effort on my end (great for the busy -wedding planning bride) I recommend this store and staff for anything; from products as big as a registry to something as small as buying measuring cups. read more

VETERANS ALERT. MILITARY DISCOUNT DENIED BY C&B I am a disabled Viet Nam era veteran and presented my DD 214 discharge paper for the 10% military discount. The price I was paying was the full list price for a lamp. I was told by "Management" through the clerk (who was very curtious) that no discount is available for veterans. Shopping for poolside chase lounge chairs. Found good deal and product in the Annapolis Mall location. Before purchase we stressed the importance of receiving them by end of May for a big party. Sales person repeatedly assured us that it would be no problem to get them delivered by mid May. Well that time came and went and repeated calls were useless. Then the store called on May 29th to schedule delivery, I said I would come get them as party was the following day. Well she said they really weren't here, they were in NJ. And she back peddled on her assurance of delivery dates. It is now June and still no chases. No apologies no offer to do anything. So beware of delivery promises, the sales floor people just want to close the deal and get on to the next sale. Very little customer support. End of my business with them. read more

To whom it may concern: This is the last time we will be buying from your store due to accumulated worst store experiences. Below is the review I left from my latest experience today when I picked up my order for two Swing Arm Bronze Sconces (Item #679-949): Please don't buy from this store. They are dishonest about their marketing. The light bulb that is on this website and shown as sample in-store are not the same one that they include in the packaging. Be very warned that it comes with a very cheaply made and ugly CFL bulb. We've been a customer for some time but this is the last straw. As I'm reading the reviews now, I'm not the only one that has been cheated by this store. I see other customers also received the ugly bulb in place of the nice one on their marketing. Aside from this, their customer service every time you visit their store is the absolute worst, especially in their furniture section. With this product, I had the top worst experience with their customer rep, Tim, from the Annapolis store, today, July 3, 2016. He was not helpful, not friendly and does not care about their customers at all. When my partner and I came to pick-up, he instructed us to drive to their backdoor location as that was where the boxes were. I had to explain to him that the email clearly states that you can pick-up the product at one of the registers or at the backdoor. I did not give any instructions that I will be picking these up from the backdoor. We came to the register to pick it up there directly as we had plans in browsing the store. He was very annoyed and not happy to help at all that they had to make a call to the backdoor to deliver it at their register. When I asked that I will be back as I wanted to browse more at the store, he demanded that we had to stay as they don't know whether they will be there at the register to guard the boxes and that someone else can steal them. We can't believe that a store won't even make it convenient for their customers to shop around and buy more things. When the boxes arrived, he did not even offer to put them in a bag so that we can carry them conveniently. We had to ask him for bags and he was very annoyed again that we have to make him work extra. Horrible, horrible experience! We had previous experiences before from this store where the customer reps have a real bad attitude towards customers. It does not make sense to have a store where customers are not treated with respect. This is clearly our last straw. There are other stores out there that have far much better products and that have friendly customer service. Let this be a warning to all. read more

This place is great for modern chic furniture. My husband and I appreciate the attentiveness of the sales staff. We had been browsing for a new bar and hadn't found the one that we had in mind then one day we came in and the salesman that had helped us literally a month prior said "we have something that just came in I believe is what you were looking for, I was about to just call you guys to have you come in". My wife and I have spent thousands of dollars on items from Crate and Barrel. We have always been satisfied with the quality and service we received. Recently we purchased a number of pendant lights for our new home and had questions about which light bulbs were best. Sales representative Sharon Lane spent over 40 minutes of her morning reviewing my purchase and assuring we had the best information and purchased the most appropriate light bulb, she even sent me a follow up email explaining more about my options. This may seem minor to most people, as this was a minor dollar item, but I certainly appreciated the time and attention this young woman paid to my questions and need for assistance. My review of Crate & Barrel isn't so much about the store itself. I have had good service at the 2 I've been to. If I go to Crate & Barrel at all now I go to the Annapolis store which wasn't around when I bought my sofa and chair. I loved that sofa and chair with ottoman. It was exactly what I wanted; size, color; they have slipcovers. Perfect! But the sofa didn't hold up to children and dogs; replacing the slipcovers is very pricey; you could by a new sofa elsewhere and it would be cheaper. The construction of the sofa is plywood with a metal grate as the deck: everything is stapled. Apparently our deck wasn't stapled well enough because it fell through the frame. It's not what I would have expected for a sofa that I paid that much for. Yes, it's my own fault; I should have asked about construction, maybe demanded to see how the furniture was actually made. I will next time I buy something. Until then, we're limping along with what we have. You don't have to though. Buy your furniture elsewhere. read more
