It's so peaceful here as we sit around the homey kitchen table with spectacular views of the ponds and cranberry bog. The grounds and gardens are beautifully peaceful and relaxing with little areas on the porch that are so comfortable. The Proprietress, Jeanine, is very warm and welcoming. Had the upstairs room on the right. The ceiling sloped at a sharp angle so that side of the room (where the bed was), can feel small and crowded especially if you are tall (I'm 5'3" and I had to crouch). The rest of the room was spacious enough for me and my bf. Plenty of places to put our bags and other small items. The first thing I noticed when entering the room was how hot it was! Fortunately there was a small AC unit on the window. Unfortunately the inside was lined with mold so we had the AC off the entire time we were in the room. Plenty of lamps and hooks in the room, which I was grateful for. The upstairs restroom has amazing natural lighting. A decent sized space but only has a tub. There is also a very small sink, a chair, a table, and plenty of hooks to hang your items up. Downstairs has the shower. Didn't like the vibe of the downstairs restroom, so I ended up using a cup to bathe upstairs and honestly it worked out fine if you're open-minded. Be sure to bring toiletries because only towels were offered here. The host, Fran, was sweet and welcoming. There are 2 cats, but my bf and I barely saw them while we were there. Would stay again if we needed an affordable stay, but would try to book another room.

Were also disappointed because when we called to ask about the facilities, were told that there would be a separate, private bathroom (which there wasn't) -- only two bathrooms available (one with a shower, the other was a bath tub). The location (Wareham, MA) is a nice central location for trips to the Cape, Boston, Newport, etc. Also, I would recommend skipping the 'breakfast' part of this B&B.

We had the full room and there were mermaid paintings throughout the room and the cottage. Everything was so beautiful. The bathroom was a little small side, but we were fine with it. Linda is so hospitable and communication is excellent. She even accommodated us last minute for a late arrival when we needed a place to stay. We were in Salem for Haunted Happenings Halloween festivities. Everything in Boston and Salem was booked up so we decided to take the drive out to Cape Cod for the night. This turned out to be a wonderful experience! We are so glad that we did. In the morning, we went to the Monument beach and marina area. We would definitely recommend Linda's beach cottage and we would certainly stay here again! We can't wait to return to beautiful Cape and Linda's Beach Cottage!

He flat out called her a liar and told her she didn't know how to book hotels. To top it all off when she told him that he should be very thankful that I was not there he lost his mind or what was left of it and started swearing at her in front of my two children.

Front desk staff were okay. I'll be honest - I've never thought about it until it didn't happen: in over 700 (yes 700) stays at Marriott hotels, this is the first time the staff checking me in didn't say, "Thank you for being a platinum member" & didn't ask if we wanted points or market place item. When I offered, "we'd like points, please," all she said was, "I see your member number." Odd response & didn't really confirm that she was giving us points rather than market item. Dead rat right outside the entrance was unnerving- staff didn't seem like they wanted to do anything with it, & only put it in the outside trash can because another person staying insisted the rat be disposed of/removed from line-of-sight.

My cat and I recently stayed here for one night due to needing to be early morning prompt to a…read morenearby area commitment the next day. I wished I'd looked into other area options after being informed while checking in that the pet fee was now $25 higher than I was quoted on the website as of January 1st, and not being informed, noticing on the bill as I left, that there was an -additional- "pet cleaning" fee of $15 added to the tab. Something was off-kilter in the ventilation of the room I was assigned, and the air was often too dry for most of the evening while we were there. It eventually corrected itself overnight once I turned the fan mode off. I also noticed the lack of bathroom ventilation that a previous reviewer commented on and that the bathroom did not seem to be connected to the heating for the rest of the room. Proximity to a couple of restaurants across the parking lot was nice, and additional shopping areas are just up the street. Having driven by this place somewhat regularly over the last several years, I'm glad to have tried it, but not sure I would want to stay again.
