Any worries or concerns that I may have had disappeared the moment we pulled into the drive. From the impeccable landscaping to the timely and friendly greeting from the Inn owner, Pattie started the weekend off perfectly. She was both warm and inviting. She took the time to show us her beautiful property and all of its personalized, beautiful features and amenities. The rooms were spacious, impeccable and adorned with all of the luxuries you may want for a comfortable stay. The housekeeping crew left the room spotless and tidy each day as well. Watching Pattie work and care for her guests make the stay just that more special. She truly cares about her guests comfort. My friends and I were able to enjoy her delicious, homemade breakfasts (we could have done better of keeping her informed of any culinary preferences but she was able to accommodate a few reasonable requests). She has truly thought of every detail---from coffee/tea/filtered water access all day to homemade cookies ! Sitting on the veranda together whether in the evening or morning after breakfast, we were able to settle in surrounded by trees and enjoy one another's company. The B&B is very clean and well apportioned, and the breakfasts are delicious. To be honest we found the Delano Homestead through a random Google search and weren't expecting much, but were really delighted by the quality and beauty of this well-run B&B. A shout-out to Sharyn, the manager, who went out of her way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Very personable and a great breakfast chef, she checked and double-checked our requirements and generally made us feel very welcomed. She also has the neatest handwriting I've ever seen in a human being. We'd gladly stay here again, and can heartily recommend this B&B to anyone thinking of staying in the Fairhaven-New Bedford area.

Linda is so hospitable and communication is excellent. She even accommodated us last minute for a late arrival when we needed a place to stay. We were in Salem for Haunted Happenings Halloween festivities. Everything in Boston and Salem was booked up so we decided to take the drive out to Cape Cod for the night. This turned out to be a wonderful experience! We are so glad that we did. In the morning, we went to the Monument beach and marina area. Dave and Megan are the consummate B&B hosts: helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful of guests' privacy. They were able to give us a lot of information on local activities, including great restaurant and destination tips. Their breakfasts were tasty and sumptuous. Their warm, generous, and humorous demeanor made us feel comfortable and relaxed. They welcomed us into their home and even allowed us to join a small party they were having one night with friends. The Daffodil Room was lovely. Dave told us up front that this room has two beds together to form a queen sized bed - we did not notice any difference. Bathroom is clean and well-maintained, with modern plumbing smoothly integrated with the charm of the old home. The living room is well-stocked with books and cozy furniture, and has a fireplace. Dave and Meg built a wonderful fire for us there, and we were glad to pass a lazy rainy day in front of it, reading old classic books from the shelves. My cat and I recently stayed here for one night due to needing to be early morning prompt to a…read morenearby area commitment the next day. I wished I'd looked into other area options after being informed while checking in that the pet fee was now $25 higher than I was quoted on the website as of January 1st, and not being informed, noticing on the bill as I left, that there was an -additional- "pet cleaning" fee of $15 added to the tab. Something was off-kilter in the ventilation of the room I was assigned, and the air was often too dry for most of the evening while we were there. It eventually corrected itself overnight once I turned the fan mode off. I also noticed the lack of bathroom ventilation that a previous reviewer commented on and that the bathroom did not seem to be connected to the heating for the rest of the room. Proximity to a couple of restaurants across the parking lot was nice, and additional shopping areas are just up the street. Having driven by this place somewhat regularly over the last several years, I'm glad to have tried it, but not sure I would want to stay again.
