The setting and décor itself is quite lovely. Jan goes out of her way to make people comfortable if they have any special requests. The rooms are clean and the price was reasonable for the long weekend. Jan was willing to accommodate my food allergies. I would have gone out to eat but Jan was such a sweetheart about it. The rooms are clean with maid service on a daily basis, our room shared an outdoor porch on the second floor. Breakfast is served 8:30am-9:30am. Jan is a great cook and Charlie services the food. I noticed he was very friendly to the other customers and talked a lot about the history of the house and the local area. I you are going to Sandwich this is a good choice. Across from the Sandwich Glass Museum and down the street from a few nice restaurants. The area is quiet and closes early. There is no pizza delivery at 9pm.

Our room was spotless and really had a summer beachy feel with a beautiful balcony. Every morning we woke up to a delicious breakfast cooked and served by Jan and Charlie. Breakfast included a Greek yogurt parfait with fresh fruit and granola as well as a delicious baked egg sandwich one morning and French toast another morning. In the evening there was a variety of wines to choose from and freshly baked cookies as well as coffee and tea throughout the day. Next time we are in Cape Cod I would definitely come back to stay here.

When I called the desk about it the employee cut me off to tell me I couldn't use the bathtub after 11pm (it was 9:45pm). And that stipulation was not apparent when we booked the room. I was too grossed out to use the tub at all the rest of the week, so that was a waste of money. The bathroom was overall not very clean or well-maintained. Shower had mold and needed to be re-grouted and small things like the towel holder were broken. The restaurant is super limited, only serving breakfast on weekends with like 4 things on the menu. And the food was below average. Most of the staff were very nice and the hotel has a charming aesthetic, but the standards absolutely do not match the price. I would've brought my qualms up to them instead of writing this review, but they did not bother to ask me how my stay was when I checked out. And this is more of a personal gripe, but we let them know it was our wedding week and they didn't do anything special. Usually a place in this price range gives you a little perk, like a mini bottle of champagne or a kind note waiting for you. Nothing from this place. Honestly just sad because this was a splurge we were excited about, but we should've just stayed at a more basic hotel.

My husband and I loved this B & B. The first time we stayed there was on the occasion of our 20th anniversary in Nov/2015. We returned in March/2017 and in February/2019. At all times we were warmly welcomed by Mrs Katherine and Don. On our return home we always miss the great breakfast Isaiah Jones offers to customers. On our first time there, Mrs. Katherine, the innkeeper, helped us (through email before we arrived) to book for a Thanksgiving dinner nearby. For our 20th Anniversary celebration we choose to stay in one of the rooms of the Carriage House. Our room was the romantic and quiet Thornton Burgess Room. I loved the bath products (with their beautiful labels) specially the herbal bath & conditioner. The bathroom robes were a great surprise. Breakfast was a 3 delicious courses with scones, fruits, omelets, orange french toast served with a fresh pot of coffee and/or fruit juice. Also, we have a free coffee and cookies, Sherry and Port all day long. As an amateur photographer I registered almost everything on my trips (from Nepal to Brazil) and I was thrilled to register the details about this beautiful B&B such as the flowers in the breakfast room, decor in the sitting area or the chairs on the porch. All of that made our experience at Isaiah Jones Homestead B&B great.

The cleanliness and overall…read morecondition of the property were completely unacceptable and nowhere near what any guest should expect. The shower curtain liner in our room was brown and covered in mold, and the entire bathroom smelled strongly of mildew the entire time we were there. There were also dead bugs inside the bathroom light sconces, which made it obvious that basic cleaning and maintenance are being neglected. The most shocking issue was finding a blood stain on the bed. That is absolutely inexcusable and made me seriously question the cleanliness of the room and whether the linens had been properly changed or inspected. The amenities advertised were just as disappointing. The pool was literally caved in and unusable, yet there was no clear indication of that beforehand. And the so-called "free breakfast" consisted of a few deli meats laid out on a plate, which hardly qualifies as breakfast and felt incredibly misleading. I understand that older hotels require upkeep, but there is no excuse for mold, stained bedding, dead bugs, and misleading amenities. For the price charged, this experience was unacceptable. I would not stay here again and hope management takes these issues seriously before more guests have a similar experience.
