My wife and I decided to take a road trip to Cape Cod. While researching where to stay I realized that saying one is going to Cape Cod is quite a broad statement as the cape is quite large. You can easily get overwhelmed as to where to stay and what to see. I eventually decided that for the convenience of seeing as much as possible that I would narrow my search to the towns located closer to the center of the cape. We do quite a bit of traveling and I'm known for the extensive research that I do before booking lodging. After reading countless reviews on the various accommodation options I chose the Long Dell Inn in Centerville. This turned out to be an excellent choice. The communications following booking were excellent. The value for the accommodations was exceptional. Beyond the accommodations being perfect we took this road trip in a higher end sports car that I'm a bit protective of. The Long Dell Inn has off street parking that even me with my particular concerns was pleased with. The Long Dell Inn is owned and operated by Donna and Marc. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Donna who showed us the common areas and to our room. One instantly notices how clean and spotless this B&B is. The common areas were a sunroom that was used as a breakfast area and a living room with a comfortable couch and chairs. Coffee and tea are always available as is a water cooler to fill the water bottles that each guest is provided with (to keep.) Snacks are provided too, one of these being Cape Cod brand potato chips. Grab a pack and ask Marc to send you on a special sightseeing quest with them. Our room was brightly decorated, spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a very large en suite bathroom with a makeup table, bathtub shower combo and closet. This room fit our needs perfectly. Off of the hallway that our room was located were two additional guest rooms. The walls of this property are either quite thick or have been sound proofed. I know these rooms were occupied but never once heard another guest. Breakfast is cooked by Marc. Cooking is not his original vocation but you would not know that. The breakfasts for the three mornings we stayed there were each different and as delicious as the previous day's. He obviously puts a great deal of pride, time and effort into his meal preparations. His meals are made from scratch. No store bought English muffins here, not even on his amazing version of Eggs Benedict. Marc who is the consummate host starts your meal with a detailed description of each course of what he has prepared. Prior to our arrival he also inquired if we had any special needs or allergies. He also double checks prior to serving each day's breakfast. After breakfast Mark and Donna were always available to chat and provide insight to assist with enjoying the sights and dining options of the cape. They have even prepared a website with an itinerary with some recommended stops. This website when used with conjunction with an iPhone and Apple CarPlay automatically provided us with directions for each stop. I highly recommend giving their loop a try. We did and really enjoyed some of the sights. Marc and Donna must also be expert gardeners as well as awesome inn keepers. We were in awe of their garden. There are plenty of chairs and lounges in which to enjoy the garden with. It is so large that even with other guests using it one could easily find privacy if so desired. We had a long drive getting to the cape and for our first evening we just went out to dinner and grabbed a bottle of wine on the way back. The garden was perfect for enjoying a glass that evening while listening to the waterfall that is part of their large fish pond. We are already talking about returning next year and doing a bit of research on what else we can see. Donna and Marc made us feel so welcomed that we are hoping next year to add an additional day to our visit.

Eggs Benedict with homemade hollandaise sauce, Canadian bacon tomato, avocado and homemade English muffin bread.

If you are in Osterville, Massachusetts looking for a place to stay, you found it! The innkeeper's are friendly and attentive to make your stay welcoming. Very easy process checking in and checking out. The room was absolutely adorable and clean! Let's talk about a gourmet breakfast every day you're there. Beyond expectation! Coffee was fantastic! I just can't say enough about this place.

A wonderful escape…read more We visited Ashley Manor on 4th of July weekend and were immediately delighted by the sweet garden/patio and charming appointment of this 300+ year-old house. It's the perfect mix of old Cape antiques and more modern pieces, for a very classy and relaxing feel. This isn't your Great Aunt Martha's Victorian/cat decorated B&B. We stayed in the Federal room, and it couldn't have had more Cape Cod charm! A comfortable bed and seating area made us feel right at home. The bathroom has an adorable freestanding tub, and the bath products were Beekman's. New owners, Allison and Keith, purchased the inn in January 2020 and moved here from California to start a new chapter. Of course, no one could have known that a pandemic was brewing, and it must have been an incredibly stressful blow to have to close so soon after taking it over. Yet they are so gracious, so kind, even as they tell the story. Generally, they were just incredibly warm and welcoming people. Breakfast was glorious and really made our stay memorable. They asked our food preferences and allergies upon our arrival, got us dairy-free milk for our coffee, and served these gorgeous multi-course breakfasts each day. We usually prefer to sleep in and skip breakfast, but we didn't miss a single breakfast here. We found the best prices directly on the website, so definitely look there first when booking. Can't wait for our next stay!

Words can not describe our experience. Lovely. Superb. Spectacular. Delicious. Relaxing…read more Delightful. Fun. When I originally called to find out if they were still offering breakfast bc of COVID and if so, could they accommodate vegan, Allison was so excited and inviting that I knew I needed to make the reservation. Then I received a call from Keith, who was witty and just as inviting as Allison and I knew my stay was going to be worth every penny. Their attention to detail inside the manor was just as impeccable as the breakfast they prepared and served. Each and everything we ate was phenomenal and they gifted me with vegan cookies and their delicious coffee to take home! We stayed in Phinney's Terrace; which was beautiful and sparkly clean. The room had lovely toiletries, the towels were lush and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed playing cards and drinking wine on the private terrace and appreciated the water that was left in our room and in the refrigerator. Bonus- for those going to the beach or wanting to play- there are beach towels, chairs and an umbrella, a tennis court with balls and racquets on site and a bunch of board games and playing cards. I would recommend Ashley Manor to anyone and everyone for any occasion or just for a night away. You will be taken care of and you won't regret it at all!

One word? AWESOME!…read more Initially, the thought of a B&B creeped me out. I don't like staying over friends or relatives' houses unless I must, let alone some stranger's house in an area I am unfamiliar with. Call me strange, but something about the concept of a B&B has so much in common with a horror film that ends with me getting killed along the line...but not here. My wife and I joined a few of our friends to go to Hyannis and Martha's Vineyard for Memorial Day Weekend and we stayed here. Craig and Ginny (the proprietors) were so friendly and accomodating. Both of them are very personable and full of great local knowledge that they really helped make our stay easier and more pleasant. You will be regaled with Craig's funny stories if you just take the time to speak with him. Ginny is so willing to make the stay as comfortable as possible. You could not ask for better hosts. At no time, did I think they would kill me, and cure my flesh to make sausages like in the movie "Motel Hell". (Sorry, my paranoia is a bit unreasonable). The place is literally a 10-15 min walk from Main street. The beach is 5 min in the opposite direction. You're so close, you can smell the salty air when you step from your room. The rooms are very nice. In fact, you have 2 choices of where to stay: Stay in the main house or the guest house. We stayed in the guest hose, facing the back yard and the large comfortable hammock that gently rocked me to sleep several nights. Our room consisted of a small sleeping area,, a bathroom and a closet. They got cable tv and I do believe there is wi-fi. But why come all the way to Hyannis to surf the web and watch cable? And the room size? Who cares. I was there to see the town, not stay indoors. It was more than adequate and very comfortable. By the way, the breakfast was DELICIOUS. You get two choices: some awesome egg dish or some ceral with yogurt. I went for the eggs and was pleased everytime. Damn, that was good food. Overall, we were extremely pleased. We're definitely going to stay here again. The rates are more than fair for all the accommodations, and the people here really make it worth the stay. My only regret in writing this review is that you'll read this and stay there with your friends and make it harder for me to do so. Do not make me slay you...

As you will know if you're at all…read morefamiliar with an area, that is not an easy or reasonably priced whim to have in the summer. So after looking at a variety of hotel options that I couldn't afford and lower priced ones that I think I would've gotten diseases from, I decided to look at B&Bs. Having only stayed at a B&B once in the past (in Maine), I wasn't quite sure what to expect. But the rates were right in line with what I wanted to pay, there was availability, and I had read other good reviews. I cannot say enough about how much this place exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Firstly, the location is perfect. A 5 minute walk to the beach, 10 minute walk to Main Street, 20 minute walk to the ferries to MV & Nantucket. But don't even concern yourself with the 20 minute walk, because Craig & Ginny, the proprietors, are more than welcoming and offered us a ride to and from our ferry the day we went to Nantucket. They also provide beach chairs if you're going to the beach, restaurant and local area recommendations (of which we listened and were not disappointed), and most importantly HOSPITALITY. You don't get this kind of attention at a hotel. The B&B itself is very quaint... clean, well-kept, equipped with outdoor seating areas to relax as well as a pool, which was an added bonus I didn't expect before arriving. The breakfast area is very cute and the breakfast itself was delicious every morning. I really can't say enough good things about my stay at Salt Winds... just don't even second guess yourself and just book it and see for yourself. You can't come close to this location, level of service, and accommodations for the price on Cape Cod in the summer!

From the moment we arrived, the hosts were accommodating, and even Mother Nature seemed to be in on the hospitality--the weather was perfect throughout our visit. Our friends arriving from NYC recommended the spot since they stayed once prior our visit. This historic property is ideally located, just a short distance from the beaches, making it a breeze to enjoy the sun and surf. Our morning walks could not have been better and complete with Cape Cod views! We rented a Jeep for the trip and were pleasantly surprised to find a garage available, which made storing parts and beach gear super convenient. Thoughtful amenities elevated the experience, including umbrellas, beach chairs, and an unexpected highlight--unlimited Prosecco! The attention to detail was impressive, and you can find even more about their offerings online, as they're remarkably well organized. One of our favorite features was the music room, which houses a Yamaha baby grand piano, multiple saxophones, and guitars--a dream setup. Breakfast was perfect and always on time. All allergies were respected and delivery was flawless. I remember once we had to leave early and the owners have packed our snack To-Go. Wow! This B&B truly blends comfort, creativity, and convenience into a memorable Cape Cod getaway. It is highly recommended.
