The Long Dell Inn in Centerville harkens back to a day when husband and wife proprietors took care of you in the way you would try and treat your own guests. Marc and Donna, the innkeepers love what they do and it rubs off on you. This is not a Holiday Inn with super large rooms or self-serve "food" they call breakfast. The property is utterly charming both inside and out. We spent several afternoons relaxing in the garden patio with it's comfy chairs, babbling waterfall and lush vegetation. Our room spotlessly clean well appointed, and beautifully decorated. The common areas in the house were equally amazing. The breakfast is not to be missed, creatively prepared gourmet food, beautifully presented in a delightful, sunny, breakfast room. Oh where do I start? I suppose I'll start with Marc who greeted us in the driveway when we pulled pull in, carried our luggage and gave us a brief but comprehensive overview on all things related to the Inn. Now onto the room with its super comfortable bed, wonderful linens and fabulous towels. The room was spotless clean with plugs everywhere you needed them as well as USB outlets. The heating system was silent and kept the room at a perfect even temperature. These are the sort of details we look for in a vintage B&B (but rarely find) The attention to detail was evident with everything from the snacks and drinks in the dining area, to the cleanliness and quality of the coffee, well just everything period. My wife and I decided to take a road trip to Cape Cod. While researching where to stay I realized that saying one is going to Cape Cod is quite a broad statement as the cape is quite large. You can easily get overwhelmed as to where to stay and what to see. I eventually decided that for the convenience of seeing as much as possible that I would narrow my search to the towns located closer to the center of the cape. We do quite a bit of traveling and I'm known for the extensive research that I do before booking lodging. After reading countless reviews on the various accommodation options I chose the Long Dell Inn in Centerville. This turned out to be an excellent choice. The communications following booking were excellent. The value for the accommodations was exceptional. Beyond the accommodations being perfect we took this road trip in a higher end sports car that I'm a bit protective of. The Long Dell Inn has off street parking that even me with my particular concerns was pleased with. The Long Dell Inn is owned and operated by Donna and Marc. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Donna who showed us the common areas and to our room. One instantly notices how clean and spotless this B&B is. The common areas were a sunroom that was used as a breakfast area and a living room with a comfortable couch and chairs. Coffee and tea are always available as is a water cooler to fill the water bottles that each guest is provided with (to keep.) Snacks are provided too, one of these being Cape Cod brand potato chips. Grab a pack and ask Marc to send you on a special sightseeing quest with them. Our room was brightly decorated, spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a very large en suite bathroom with a makeup table, bathtub shower combo and closet. This room fit our needs perfectly. Off of the hallway that our room was located were two additional guest rooms. The walls of this property are either quite thick or have been sound proofed. I know these rooms were occupied but never once heard another guest. Breakfast is cooked by Marc. Cooking is not his original vocation but you would not know that. The breakfasts for the three mornings we stayed there were each different and as delicious as the previous day's. He obviously puts a great deal of pride, time and effort into his meal preparations. His meals are made from scratch. No store bought English muffins here, not even on his amazing version of Eggs Benedict. Marc who is the consummate host starts your meal with a detailed description of each course of what he has prepared. Prior to our arrival he also inquired if we had any special needs or allergies. He also double checks prior to serving each day's breakfast. After breakfast Mark and Donna were always available to chat and provide insight to assist with enjoying the sights and dining options of the cape. They have even prepared a website with an itinerary with some recommended stops. This website when used with conjunction with an iPhone and Apple CarPlay automatically provided us with directions for each stop. I highly recommend giving their loop a try. We did and really enjoyed some of the sights. Marc and Donna must also be expert gardeners as well as awesome inn keepers. We were in awe of their garden. There are plenty of chairs and lounges in which to enjoy the garden with. It is so large that even with other guests using it one could easily find privacy if so desired. We had a long drive getting to the cape and for our first evening we just went out to dinner and grabbed a bottle of wine on the way back. The garden was perfect for enjoying a glass that evening while listening to the waterfall that is part of their large fish pond. We are already talking about returning next year and doing a bit of research on what else we can see. Donna and Marc made us feel so welcomed that we are hoping next year to add an additional day to our visit. read more

We stayed at the Long Dell Inn for two nights while we attended a wedding in Osterville. It was absolutely lovely. Marc and Donna are gracious, friendly, accommodating hosts, and made us feel at home. The room was lovely and had everything we needed, and we woke to the sounds of birds in the nearby woods. We had a delicious breakfast one morning, made by Marc, and got lots of tips from him and other guests about how to spend the day. We found this gem 6 years ago. Every-time we visit the Cape ( once or twice a year) this is where we stay. The accommodations are wonderful as is the delicious breakfast that Marc makes. My wife and I recently had a stay at the Long Dell. Marc and Donna could not have been more accommodating . The inn was tastefully decorated and the room was perfect for us ( Tradewinds). The bed was very comfortable and even though we were in the front the occasional car traffic was not an issue. The breakfast was delicious! Fresh fruit, homemade baked good, and egg dish with bacon. I love a good Bed and Breakfast. Sadly, many have changed to a more continental breakfast, buying in bulk croissants and yogurt from a big box store. Long Dell Inn is completely the opposite. A homemade breakfast everyday that was amazing, worthy of waking up for. In addition, the accommodations were perfect, comfortable mattress and quality sheets. Cozy room, good food, very kind hosts. I was glad I stayed. While it wasn't perfect: the floors slanted just a tiny bit, the exterior door was a little sticky, the place was comfy and beautifully decorated. Quiet, good location, immaculate; every detail well-thought out. They leave a hair dryer in the room for you, as well as makeup remover wipes, and plenty of thick, yummy towels. And those sheets! Long Dell Inn was the ideal scenic spot for a romantic getaway to Cape Cod. The picturesque landscaping, the charming decor, the spacious beautifully appointed room all made for an enjoyable visit. The innkeepers Marc and Donna couldn't have been more welcoming and hospitable and we loved meeting them and their sweet dog Lucky. Let's face it: You're either a B&B person or you're not. And those who fall into the "are" category have great difficulty understanding how anyone could feel otherwise. I am not a B&B person. But I was meeting up with a friend who is and, though I took responsibility for our lodging arrangements, I wanted to factor in my friend's budget and preferences. As I looked at lodging on the Cape I grew more and more sold on the benefits of a B&B. The reviews, web site, location, and price of The Long Dell Inn convinced me that this might be a B&B about which I felt different than most. I wasn't wrong. My friend has lodged at many a B&B and about the Long Dell Inn she remarked (I paraphrase) "overall, it was the best B&B I've been to in every regard: decor, cleanliness, breakfast, price...". Since I'm paraphrasing and failed to ask her to rattle off the categories in which she rates B&Bs I'm left to my imagination. But she definitely thought this one was tops in every department. I agree. The things I don't care for about B&Bs were easy to overlook when everything else about the experience was perfect. The Long Dell Inn is an excellent B&B choice. Two nights in the Seabird Room (a room with 2 twin beds, separate from the main house) brought luxurious sheets, effective air conditioning, and perfect wi-fi. Breakfasts were gourmet and began each day with some sort of fruit salad topped with a small scoop of local ice cream. From there, things only looked upward; the breakfasts were delicious. The hosts are proud of their immaculate, stylish property and they should be. If all B&Bs were as well appointed as this my leeriness would wane. The Long Dell Inn is well located in Centerville, about a 15 minute walk from Craigville Beach and my friend and I are already mulling over the idea of returning again next year. And that fact right there, friends, speaks volumes when coming from this self-avowed "non-B&B fan". read more

We've been coming to Long Dell Inn for years and always love it, and our weeklong stay at the end of July 2021 was no exception. Marc and Donna are welcoming and provide helpful recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Marc makes two-course breakfasts and they're always fantastic. The rooms are super clean and decorated so cheerfully and tastefully. There is nothing stuffy about this B & B! We like to stay in the Sugar Magnolia room because it has its own private little deck with chairs. My husband loves to grab a coffee in the morning and sit outside taking in the gorgeous surroundings before we head over to the main house for breakfast. The inn also has a lovely patio where we can eat breakfast or lounge around. It's got a little waterfall and a pond with fish - and even the occasional frog. We can't wait to go back, perhaps this fall if we can swing it. read more

I'm in love with this place. My husband and I found Long Dell Inn while making hasty plans for a vacation, and had no idea what we would do when we got to Cape Cod. Marc and Donna, the wonderfully kind and hospitable owners, and their employee Jillian, helped us plan out our days, and recommended great places to eat and sights to see. We feel like we packed so much into six day, thanks to each of them. More on the Inn....the rooms are warm and inviting, each with a distinct personality that reflects Donna's flair for colors and accessories. Our room, Tradewinds, was filled with soft, beachy colors and bright accents. Common areas like the living room and dining room are nice places to gather and chat with other guests, sharing details of the previous day's adventures and upcoming plans. Coffee, tea, water, soda, and snacks are always available. Now let's get to the really good part. Breakfast. My favorite meal of the day, and Marc does a solid job of preparing a delicious, fresh, and generous entree, a baked item, and a fruit salad daily. I have seen others' reviews of the lemon ricotta pancakes, and yes, they are that good. As were the peach baked French toast, the southern scramble, and the eggs benedict. My husband's many food allergies, which are a challenge to those of us who feed him, didn't trip Marc up at all. He asked a lot of questions to make sure the food he prepared was safe. I can't emphasize enough how much we appreciated this. Breakfast kept us full until dinnertime most days, freeing us up for more beach time and excursions. I'm sure there are other nice inns on the Cape, but as long as we have the option to stay at the Long Dell Inn, that is where we will continue to go. We felt like we were staying at the home of friends who wanted us to have the best first experience on the Cape that we could have, and we most certainly did. We can't wait to go back. read more

My husband and I frequently use Airbnb, Long Dell Inn was our first experience at a traditional B&B. We decided to go for a B&B instead of Airbnb to get the full Cape Cod experience. A quick search on Google and Long Dell Inn was one of the top listings. The B&B had hundreds of raving reviews, solid five stars across multiple sites: Google, Yelp, Trip Advisor, Expedia, Facebook, etc. It was the perfect location too - just 15 mins away from the Hyannis Whale Watcher Cruise. Booking a room was a no brainer! Marc and Donna are wonderful hosts - warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Marc had so many suggestions for places to check out and restaurants to visit. We didn't have firm plans, so we visited a nearby beach to check out the low tide ripples per Marc's suggestion. It was great! The space is impeccably decorated inside and out, and clean! The linen is of high quality and the bed is comfortable. Marc is the breakfast chef and puts a lot of effort into his made-from-scratch menu. We had his lemon ricotta pancakes with citrus butter on our first day and it was absolutely divine! The best pancakes my husband and I have had to date. We got a flat tire during our stay, and Marc was kind enough to help out. We had run over a nail the night before and didn't have a spare. It took nearly one day to get the tire replaced at the nearby tire shop, but luckily it was raining so we would have spent the day indoors anyway. Marc and Donna's hospitality made our stay at Long Dell Inn memorable. Our only gripe is that they have now set the bar so high for other B&Bs! read more

This is probably the best B&B we have ever stayed at with wonderful hospitality. We had an existing reservation and called ahead to see if we could check in a day early. Marc and Donna were able to fit us in and our room was lovely. The Long Dell Inn is immaculate and has outstanding grounds to relax. The best thing of all is Marc's homemade breakfasts and coffee cakes. My favorite was the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with real maple syrup. Wonderful.
