A wonderful escape…read more We visited Ashley Manor on 4th of July weekend and were immediately delighted by the sweet garden/patio and charming appointment of this 300+ year-old house. It's the perfect mix of old Cape antiques and more modern pieces, for a very classy and relaxing feel. This isn't your Great Aunt Martha's Victorian/cat decorated B&B. We stayed in the Federal room, and it couldn't have had more Cape Cod charm! A comfortable bed and seating area made us feel right at home. The bathroom has an adorable freestanding tub, and the bath products were Beekman's. New owners, Allison and Keith, purchased the inn in January 2020 and moved here from California to start a new chapter. Of course, no one could have known that a pandemic was brewing, and it must have been an incredibly stressful blow to have to close so soon after taking it over. Yet they are so gracious, so kind, even as they tell the story. Generally, they were just incredibly warm and welcoming people. Breakfast was glorious and really made our stay memorable. They asked our food preferences and allergies upon our arrival, got us dairy-free milk for our coffee, and served these gorgeous multi-course breakfasts each day. We usually prefer to sleep in and skip breakfast, but we didn't miss a single breakfast here. We found the best prices directly on the website, so definitely look there first when booking. Can't wait for our next stay!

As a lifetime platinum Marriott member, I tend to stay loyal to the brand. The coronavirus has caused me to look outside their footprint, and places like Ashley Manor will make me wonder what else I may have been missing. Aside from the top notch service of the new proprietors (they just took over earlier this year), the property is well-located in Cape Cod and also features a fantastic tennis court on the property, which we used practically every day of the 5 days we stayed there. Allison and Keith also offer beach towels, pickle ball rackets and balls, and a variety of board games for play. In addition, they also offer a variety of cookies and small bottles of water as refreshments on the property. Did I mention they serve you a fresh, homemade breakfast every day? I'm tempted to say they should probably be charging more for their wonderful stays - granted, with COVID and this being their first year perhaps they are keen to ensure they build the right track record. But seriously, you're being a fool if you haven't already booked your stay in Cape Cod at Ashley Manor. Note: I've posted this review in several places because I think very highly of my stay and hope this fabulous couple have a long tenure at Ashley Manor!

One word? AWESOME!…read more Initially, the thought of a B&B creeped me out. I don't like staying over friends or relatives' houses unless I must, let alone some stranger's house in an area I am unfamiliar with. Call me strange, but something about the concept of a B&B has so much in common with a horror film that ends with me getting killed along the line...but not here. My wife and I joined a few of our friends to go to Hyannis and Martha's Vineyard for Memorial Day Weekend and we stayed here. Craig and Ginny (the proprietors) were so friendly and accomodating. Both of them are very personable and full of great local knowledge that they really helped make our stay easier and more pleasant. You will be regaled with Craig's funny stories if you just take the time to speak with him. Ginny is so willing to make the stay as comfortable as possible. You could not ask for better hosts. At no time, did I think they would kill me, and cure my flesh to make sausages like in the movie "Motel Hell". (Sorry, my paranoia is a bit unreasonable). The place is literally a 10-15 min walk from Main street. The beach is 5 min in the opposite direction. You're so close, you can smell the salty air when you step from your room. The rooms are very nice. In fact, you have 2 choices of where to stay: Stay in the main house or the guest house. We stayed in the guest hose, facing the back yard and the large comfortable hammock that gently rocked me to sleep several nights. Our room consisted of a small sleeping area,, a bathroom and a closet. They got cable tv and I do believe there is wi-fi. But why come all the way to Hyannis to surf the web and watch cable? And the room size? Who cares. I was there to see the town, not stay indoors. It was more than adequate and very comfortable. By the way, the breakfast was DELICIOUS. You get two choices: some awesome egg dish or some ceral with yogurt. I went for the eggs and was pleased everytime. Damn, that was good food. Overall, we were extremely pleased. We're definitely going to stay here again. The rates are more than fair for all the accommodations, and the people here really make it worth the stay. My only regret in writing this review is that you'll read this and stay there with your friends and make it harder for me to do so. Do not make me slay you...

I decided at the last minute to book a weekend trip to Cape Cod. As you will know if you're at all…read morefamiliar with an area, that is not an easy or reasonably priced whim to have in the summer. So after looking at a variety of hotel options that I couldn't afford and lower priced ones that I think I would've gotten diseases from, I decided to look at B&Bs. Having only stayed at a B&B once in the past (in Maine), I wasn't quite sure what to expect. But the rates were right in line with what I wanted to pay, there was availability, and I had read other good reviews. I cannot say enough about how much this place exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Firstly, the location is perfect. A 5 minute walk to the beach, 10 minute walk to Main Street, 20 minute walk to the ferries to MV & Nantucket. But don't even concern yourself with the 20 minute walk, because Craig & Ginny, the proprietors, are more than welcoming and offered us a ride to and from our ferry the day we went to Nantucket. They also provide beach chairs if you're going to the beach, restaurant and local area recommendations (of which we listened and were not disappointed), and most importantly HOSPITALITY. You don't get this kind of attention at a hotel. The B&B itself is very quaint... clean, well-kept, equipped with outdoor seating areas to relax as well as a pool, which was an added bonus I didn't expect before arriving. The breakfast area is very cute and the breakfast itself was delicious every morning. I really can't say enough good things about my stay at Salt Winds... just don't even second guess yourself and just book it and see for yourself. You can't come close to this location, level of service, and accommodations for the price on Cape Cod in the summer!

As usual, the meals and the room were impeccable. I stayed in the Hallet room on the top floor of the Carriage House. This was one of the most unique stays we've had and we can't wait to go back again! The building itself is beautifully renovated and the rooms are in pristine condition and equipped with everything you need. The common areas retained much of the historic characters of the house but with a modern upgrade. Parking is easy and plentiful. The location is convenient as its relatively close to the highway. John and Kris were the most welcoming and gracious hosts. Their genuine care for each guest is evident from the beginning when they call you to check on your arrival time so they can plan around it. John is very friendly and gives great recommendations in terms of things to do and places to eat in cape cod but also openly shares his interesting personal stories. We spent hours just chatting with him and Kris during our stay and we loved every conversation! Kris's baking skills are exceptional as he made various goods during our stay such as blueberry muffins, apricot muffins, almond cookies, white chocolate cookies and more! He even accommodated our special request and made a lemon tart from scratch (including the crust), which tasted delicious and is definitely restaurant quality. The breakfast Kris and John make every morning is also delicious! Also want to shoutout their friend, David, who was helping out for the Summer, as he was also very friendly and fun to chat with. Honestly cannot recommend this place enough!

From the moment we arrived, the hosts were accommodating, and even Mother Nature seemed to be in on the hospitality--the weather was perfect throughout our visit. Our friends arriving from NYC recommended the spot since they stayed once prior our visit. This historic property is ideally located, just a short distance from the beaches, making it a breeze to enjoy the sun and surf. Our morning walks could not have been better and complete with Cape Cod views! We rented a Jeep for the trip and were pleasantly surprised to find a garage available, which made storing parts and beach gear super convenient. Thoughtful amenities elevated the experience, including umbrellas, beach chairs, and an unexpected highlight--unlimited Prosecco! The attention to detail was impressive, and you can find even more about their offerings online, as they're remarkably well organized. One of our favorite features was the music room, which houses a Yamaha baby grand piano, multiple saxophones, and guitars--a dream setup. Breakfast was perfect and always on time. All allergies were respected and delivery was flawless. I remember once we had to leave early and the owners have packed our snack To-Go. Wow! This B&B truly blends comfort, creativity, and convenience into a memorable Cape Cod getaway. It is highly recommended.
