A wonderful escape. We visited Ashley Manor on 4th of July weekend and were immediately delighted by the sweet garden/patio and charming appointment of this 300+ year-old house. It's the perfect mix of old Cape antiques and more modern pieces, for a very classy and relaxing feel. This isn't your Great Aunt Martha's Victorian/cat decorated B&B. We stayed in the Federal room, and it couldn't have had more Cape Cod charm! A comfortable bed and seating area made us feel right at home. The bathroom has an adorable freestanding tub, and the bath products were Beekman's. New owners, Allison and Keith, purchased the inn in January 2020 and moved here from California to start a new chapter. Of course, no one could have known that a pandemic was brewing, and it must have been an incredibly stressful blow to have to close so soon after taking it over. Yet they are so gracious, so kind, even as they tell the story. Generally, they were just incredibly warm and welcoming people. Breakfast was glorious and really made our stay memorable. They asked our food preferences and allergies upon our arrival, got us dairy-free milk for our coffee, and served these gorgeous multi-course breakfasts each day. We usually prefer to sleep in and skip breakfast, but we didn't miss a single breakfast here. We found the best prices directly on the website, so definitely look there first when booking. Allison and Keith are fantastic owners of this charming bed and breakfast. Their personalized service is over the top and better than just about anything I've experienced elsewhere. As a lifetime platinum Marriott member, I tend to stay loyal to the brand. The coronavirus has caused me to look outside their footprint, and places like Ashley Manor will make me wonder what else I may have been missing. Aside from the top notch service of the new proprietors (they just took over earlier this year), the property is well-located in Cape Cod and also features a fantastic tennis court on the property, which we used practically every day of the 5 days we stayed there. Allison and Keith also offer beach towels, pickle ball rackets and balls, and a variety of board games for play. In addition, they also offer a variety of cookies and small bottles of water as refreshments on the property. Did I mention they serve you a fresh, homemade breakfast every day? I'm tempted to say they should probably be charging more for their wonderful stays - granted, with COVID and this being their first year perhaps they are keen to ensure they build the right track record. But seriously, you're being a fool if you haven't already booked your stay in Cape Cod at Ashley Manor. Words can not describe our experience. Lovely. Superb. Spectacular. Delicious. Relaxing. Delightful. Fun. When I originally called to find out if they were still offering breakfast bc of COVID and if so, could they accommodate vegan, Allison was so excited and inviting that I knew I needed to make the reservation. Then I received a call from Keith, who was witty and just as inviting as Allison and I knew my stay was going to be worth every penny. Their attention to detail inside the manor was just as impeccable as the breakfast they prepared and served. Each and everything we ate was phenomenal and they gifted me with vegan cookies and their delicious coffee to take home! We stayed in Phinney's Terrace; which was beautiful and sparkly clean. The room had lovely toiletries, the towels were lush and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed playing cards and drinking wine on the private terrace and appreciated the water that was left in our room and in the refrigerator. Bonus- for those going to the beach or wanting to play- there are beach towels, chairs and an umbrella, a tennis court with balls and racquets on site and a bunch of board games and playing cards. I would recommend Ashley Manor to anyone and everyone for any occasion or just for a night away. You will be taken care of and you won't regret it at all! read more

A perfect bed & breakfast! I highly recommend staying here the next time you visit the Cape. Despite the cold, pelting rain, we were greeted in the driveway by the owner who brought us an umbrella. The house inside was warm and inviting, and there were complimentary cordials available by the fireplace. Our room was amazingly cozy -- each room has its own fireplace with a Duraflame log that was plenty of warmth and ambiance. Throughout our room and the inn, there were little things that showed that the owners were really attentive to making sure you had everything you would need to be comfortable (there was even a bottle opener, cheese knife and cutting board with our mini-fridge). My wife mentioned to them it was my birthday, and they surprised us with a small bottle of champagne on ice in our room when we arrived! We stayed in the Ashley suite. The room was bright and comfortable with two reclining chairs by the fireplace, a jacuzzi tub, shower and a thick, plush bed with multiple pillows and blankets. We completely felt at home which was nice after a long day of fighting inclement weather. And can't say enough about how nice the owners were -- they helped recommend and make reservations at local restaurants and made the most amazing 3-course breakfast ever, and a wicked cranberry pie! They were always asking if there was anything they could get for us, but without being intrusive or nosy. The area around the inn is picturesque Cape Cod with meticulous homes and winding roads, and there were plenty of little shops, restaurants and beach access nearby. In all, I would highly recommend staying here if you're visiting the Cape! read more

The Ashley Manor has elegant nods to classic Cape Cod but with modern, stylish touches. The Federal room was so adorable and the bed was really comfortable. We loved being able to use the tennis/pickle ball court. Allison and Keith are so accommodating, friendly and thoughtful. You'll Love It! My wife and I spent an amazing 3 nights in Ashley Manor. The proprietors, Pat and Vince, are very welcoming and a pleasure to get to know during our stay. The breakfast served by Vince is superb. He is a very creative along with being an excellent chef. There is ductless air conditioning system which provides cool, quiet air making for a great nights sleep. Ashley Manor is located mid-Cape making it a nice centrally located hub to see many areas of the Cape. We highly recommend Ashley Manor and look forward to visiting again. read more

We went right before New Year's and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Both Vince and Pats are amazing hosts and provided delightful insights to the inn's history and nearby attractions and restaurants. When another guest was wondering if a certain venue was open during the offseason, Pat did the research quickly for them. Breakfast was delicious, creative and full of fresh ingredients. We stayed in the King George room and were tickled pink to find out about its history and secrets. We enjoyed the in room jacuzzi, fireplace, two reclining chairs facing a large tv and the bed was huge. All the dressers and side tables had charm- dark woods, carvings, nothing bland or mass produced. I immensely enjoyed writing at the old pull down desk - postcards are by the main door! Chocolates are set out by your bed as well as more downstairs. There's port and sherry (and a third liquor I can't remember) laid out in the common room for all to enjoy (free) and while I'm sorry to say we didn't take true advantage of this - I did remember to pour myself a glass & have my picture taken the morning we left. We stayed in the Canterbury Suite during the off-season and were very impressed. Pat and Vince do an incredible job: they greeted us as we walked up the steps, gave us a tour of the common space and an overview of the history of the house (initially built in 1699), and showed us all the features the Canterbury Suite has to offer. The jacuzzi and the fireplace combined to form the perfect antidote to a frigid evening, and we slept soundly after finding a meal at one of the few nearby restaurants open in January. Often I feel like a business owner's photos are carefully designed to hide issues, so I was a little skeptical after seeing the slick Ashley Manor website. Not so here. If anything, they understate how elegant the room really is. There were touches that couldn't be captured in just a few photos, like the quality of the cherry armoire, or the delightful antique hat boxes sitting on top. The photos also show a well-maintained property, which we found to be be the case during our stay. The original rooms, the additions, the common area, and our suite were all impeccable. Breakfast was as delightful as the rest of our stay. We were asked about dietary restrictions when we arrived, and when we came downstairs in the morning we were served a piping-hot homemade muffin, fresh strawberries and blueberries with yogurt, and a delicious homemade quiche of tomato, bacon, and cheddar cheese. The coffee was quite good, and the conversation with the other guests was very pleasant. Pat and Vince, who sometimes joined in, made sure to give us an overview of what was likely to be open during the off-season, and wished us well as we checked out. The entire experience was just what we wanted, and you can't beat the off-season rates. We would definitely stay with them again. read more

On our honeymoon, my wife & I stayed here for a few nights in the Queen Charlotte Suite. Vince & Pat made sure our stay was nice & comfortable. They made us great food for breakfast each day, & we had great conversations with them. They also gave us good recommendations for things to do nearby. My girlfriend and I just stayed here for our anniversary/valentines weekend getaway and this was my very first stay at a B&B and had a absolutely phenomenal experience what wonderful hospitality, great rooms very comfortable and welcoming and extremely private from any other guests so you feel like you are the only guest there. Breakfast is excellent and hot and it is different from any other place it's also in a neighborhood off the beaten path, not near any tourist places so you must drive to get any place which I was alright with. We just stayed here for a long weekend getaway, and it definitely was as relaxing and enjoyable as we had hoped. Vince and Pat both greeted us upon arrival and gave us a quick tour of the place, including some interesting historical tidbits, and then showed us our room. We went with the King George's Suite, which was tastefully decorated and also included a fireplace and whirlpool tub, both of which were great for a winter weekend away. Given the off-season nature of our visit, a lot of things nearby were closed, but our friendly hosts were on-hand to provide recommendations of both things to do, and great restaurants at which to eat. Breakfasts were delicious and better than what we've experienced at other B&Bs (though we are not connoisseurs). They would start with a warm muffin or scone, continue with some fruit, and then finish with something like French toast or quiche, all the while frequently refilling coffee and juice. We'll definitely try to come back in the future. read more

My wife and I have stayed at a few different B&Bs. There was nothing noticeable great or bad about the experience at Ashley Manor. Breakfast was nice. We dealt mostly with the male owner who was accommodating but not necessarily friendly. We could have just caught him on a bad day. We found that this place was not within walking distance of many things to do. We ended up sight seeing by car instead. The room was clean, as was the rest of the manor. My husband and I had never been to the Cape, but we can't imagine it gets any better than this. We decided to take a "mini-moon" the Monday after our wedding, and we were looking for a cozy and romantic spot to chill out and enjoy our first few days as Husband and Wife. We found exactly this and more at Ashely Manor. The husband and wife team who operate Ashley Manor could not have been more friendly or accommodating. We stayed in the Ashley Suite and enjoyed a huge room, fireplace, and the spa tub didn't hurt either. Along with their "Honeymoon" package, they stocked our room with Champagne and a basket of local treats. Every morning Pat and Vince served up amazing multi-course breakfasts, forget the continental Breakfast, this food was legit! In addition, they offered up maps and suggestions for places to visit in the off-season. Our accommodations provided all the privacy you desire on your mini-moon, yet all the New England sensibilities you seek at a B&B. We will definitely be back! read more

My wife and I stayed at Ashley Manor in October of 2016. I chose this place due to the location and offered amenities which caught my eye. Barnstable is close enough to get to everything in the cape such as restaurants you would like to eat, but remote enough to still have that old New England feel to it. We stayed in the King George's Suite. The room and inn both exceeded our expectations. We really enjoyed having a room with real a wood-burning fireplace, which I have since found is not common among other bed and breakfasts' we have stayed at in New England. The room was also spacious and had a great Jacuzzi tub. There was also a mini-fridge in the hall where we were able to keep some of our drinks, etc. We really enjoyed the complimentary cordials as well which made for a great digestif at night - this is also something we have yet to see other Bed and Breakfast owners offering their guests! Breakfast was always tasty and the owners Vince and Pat are great people. Not sure when we will be back to Cape Cod area, but when we do we will definitely stay at Ashley Manor again. read more

We wanted a relaxing long weekend away in Cape Cod and booked this B&B based on the reviews we read online. We definitely chose the right place to stay for our 3 nights at the Cape. This B&B is so homey and beautiful, we had a really great time staying there. Pat and Vince the owners are really friendly and they are clearly enjoying what they do and enjoy meeting people, not just running a business. We stayed in the Terrace room and it was spotless clean. The bed was comfy, all the furnitures and fixtures are carefully chosen and placed and we also enjoyed sitting in the balcony in the morning sun a lot. There is also a nice fire place inside the room but we didn't get to try using it as the weather was nice and warm during our stay. Ashley Manor also has a very comfortable sitting room with lots of books, magazines, board games and drinks. Unfortunately we were back late every night and didn't get to sit down and enjoy the room. The three-course breakfast they served was very nice and was different every morning. I can only drink decaffeinated tea, Pat remembers it and put a good selection of them at my seat before I arrived in the dining room for breakfast each morning. She also cared to put some of them in my room too. Breakfast time was also enjoyable as we chatted with other guests staying at the B&B and Pat and Vince would pull out chairs and joined our conversations too! read more
