Delightful B&B steps from downtown Edgartown. And a B&B that actually offers breakfast? Feels like a dying breed... Check in was a snap, and our modest but perfectly comfortable suite was ready for our 3p arrival. A spacious main room featured books, magazines, attraction guides, loads of seating and freshly baked (I mean, still warm) oatmeal raisin cookies. Get in my face. Parking on a peastone lot is situated directly behind the main house. Four lefts from the front driveway and you're there. Mattress slept us beautifully, and having ice cold A/C blowing on our feet (room 6 exclusive? IDK) was a totally welcome bonus during a 98º summer day. And the breakfast! Quintessential B&B setup: gold rimmed china, a coffee station with excellent teas and piping hot local roast, fresh squeezed juices. I had a savory and spiced granola with seasonal berries over yogurt and the wife went Belgian waffle with strawberries. Clean plate clubs, the two of us. (We even saved room for a tiny bite of lemon poppy muffin, blueberry scone and cinnamon coffee cake, also avail.) Location, immaculate management, and ultimate coziness with nary a wisp of stuffiness give Ashley my highest recommendation.

Stayed at the Ashley Inn for 5 days during off season, I had a wonderful time! Fred is a great host! Gave me some really good suggestions on where to go and places to eat, he even gave me maps! I also had a pleasure of meeting Annie, one of the staff and she is absolutely delightful! Very warm and welcoming I loved my stay at the inn and I will definitely coming back! Ashley Inn is a little piece of gem!

Had a wonderful stay here recently while in Edgartown for a friend's wedding. The decor is charming, the rooms are comfortable and well maintained, and the excellent coffee and homemade breakfasts they serve each morning were one of the highlights of the entire trip. Not to mention the delicious fresh-baked cookies and lemonade they put out each afternoon. We'll definitely be staying there again next time we're on MV!

Everything about this place is amazing from the room we stayed in, the entire Inn, the location and of course the Inn keeper Pete!

Very relaxing place to stay right outside town. Just a three to five minute walk to most restaurants. Fred is so hospital and helpful.

Pros: Perfect location. Within walking distance of shops and…read morerestaurants in Edgartown. Awesome toiletries The room has a fridge The window AC unit worked well The room was spacious They have bar right next to the pool Cookies, Milk and tea from 5-9. Keurig in room In the mornings they have muffins and coffee in the lobby. Cons: Shower doesn't have a door it's hard to gauge the water No elevator We arrived via Lyft around 915pm. We were immediately greeted and checked in. They had just finished their milk and cookie hour, but the lady was nice enough to get me some cookies to snack on since we were starving. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, but it's only three floors and the staff assisted with the bags The room was big and clean. The bed was comfortable. The toiletries were great. They lathered well and smelled great. The room didn't look dated like some of the reviews stated, but I think I read they had just been remodeled. I definitely recommend this hotel. Don't look anywhere else. Tip: There's a few liquor stores nearby if you're looking for inexpensive drinks There's a fast food sea food restaurant (Quarterdeck) right across the street from the bar that serves food late into the night

I normally don't post bad reviews, especially during a pandemic. Pandemic or not some things I can…read morenot let go. If I could give this place negative or no stars I would. Me and my fiancé just had an intimate wedding in Edgartown. Our family and toddler stood at this hotel since our hotel did not allow kids. Never had I felt staff lack hospitality, common sense or courtesy like the staff at the Kelly House. One example, my dad (who is blind) had just checked out at 11 am and he left his bags at the lobby. At 12 noon he wanted to use a restroom was denied access since "he checked out". Was told to "find somewhere outside that has a bathroom". Never asked to help with luggage. Never opened doors. Never made eye contact or a hello, or a good morning. Continental breakfast normally consist of more than two items. In this case it was burnt coffee and some sweet muffin for which you have to ask for one by one. If your in a group of 4 or 5 and one person asks for a muffin don't you think you should ask if others from the group want any? So let's say you're an introvert who doesn't care about courtesy or a false advertised continental breakfast, or any form of hospitality. You just want a clean/nice place to sleep and leave. Well this place is not it. You have to tell the staff to clean. They only cleaned our room once during a 4 night stay.
