Called this place after missing the last ferry over to MVY. Mind you at 10 pm there was freezing wind and no hope anywhere in the local town--grandma and I crapped our diapers so-to-speak. After hours (aka closed already), I call anyway to speak to Mary Kate who woke up and sprang into action in getting us booked in. Her lovely colleague ,Tina-Marie, went to work in opening up our room on an accessible floor for my sweet, handicapped grandmother. Room was great. Comfy. Soft beds. Quiet. It was a bit too pricey though especially for the off-season. This is a must stay whether you get stuck behind or just want a nice stay while in WH. (Budget travelers seek elsewhere.) Not to mention a popular coffee shop is only steps away for the am arabica enthusiasts. Thanks MK and TM!

We love our stay at Woods Hole Inn. Great location, great room, tasty breakfast and nice people. We got there Friday night and there's a nice welcome basket waiting for us in the room. We went to Landfall for dinner and a walk afterwards. The Inn is right next to the ferry to Martha's Vineyard and there's a lot to do in the area. After breakfast on Saturday morning, we took the ferry to Oak Bluffs and spent our day on MV. We came back to the Inn after dinner and found some cookies and pastries for our desserts. There are also fresh fruits you can have anytime in the kitchen. Our room is more spacious than expected as well. Big bathroom and many nice touches throughout the room. I love the fact that they encourage recycling and being intentional about environmental friendly. There's a lot of movies for you to borrow during your stay as well. There's also a porch and balcony area for guests to hang out. I appreciate the fact that the rooms seem to be close to each other, but I never heard noise from my neighbors. Btw, I would recommend room 7. This is the only one I feel good about when I was doing my research. There are not too many pictures about each room. Hope my pictures can be helpful. Oh, their valet parking is great as well. Overall, it's a great two-night stay.

The staff are amazing -- extremely hospitable, accommodating and go the extra mile to make you feel at home and cozy. I stayed at the Harbor House, which is just up the hill on the property. Although my room wasn't facing the harbor, it was clean and QUIET! Which I appreciated since I'm a light sleeper. I was running low on toothpaste and had forgotten shaving cream but that didn't stop the staff from stepping in and providing me shaving cream, toothpaste AND a toothbrush. Would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for easy check-in, friendly staff that feel like family, and an extremely convenient location in the heart of Woods Hole.

The owners and staff are genuinely some of the kindest, most attentive people we've ever met--going above and beyond to make sure every part of our stay was perfect. The hotel itself is charming with beautiful views of the ocean outside our bedroom window. One of our favorite features was the outdoor pool. It was so refreshing and inviting, especially after a long, hot day of exploring. It was the perfect place to relax in the sun. You can tell there's love and care in every detail, from the cozy decor to the thoughtful amenities. But what truly sets this place apart is the warmth of the people who run it. The owners clearly pour their hearts into making guests feel at home, and the staff are just as exceptional--friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The owner, Becky, is a true gem and when my car had issues she immediately helped me find a reputable auto mechanic to fix my brakes. If you're looking for a relaxing escape this hotel is everything you could hope for and more! We left feeling happy and grateful. Highly and enthusiastically recommended!

I emailed them only to found out they were not going to open the inn to guests. They offered the following - "We have an independent garage building on the property with a beautiful, airy 1-bedroom apartment above it that we are happy to move you to. It is quite an upgrade, as it is much larger, has a big balcony and has its own kitchen." She told me they would move us into that space at the same rate as long as we left a good review. Unfortunately we agreed to this and came upon several issues on arrival. 1 - I was told the unit we stayed in was a higher rate but that is not true. You rent it for $1700/week which is ~243 per night (before taxes etc.). We are being charged ~312 per night which was the B&B rate and did not get breakfast. 2 - The condition of this unit is not good. A. There are no curtains on the door that overlooks the driveway or in several of the bedroom and bathroom windows. It presents a significant privacy issue. B. The tv does not work properly. It posts an error message if you try and change the channel. C. The refrigerator is dirty. D. The condition of the bed is horrific. Throwing a cushion on top of an old worn mattress does not make a great place to sleep. E. There is no shower head so the water just sprays all over the place. The bathroom was also very poorly cleaned. 3. You told me you were not accommodating guests at the inn and that is clearly not the case as the parking lot is full and we have spoken to them. Lots of excuses were made. In their defense - they did credit me back the difference in rates. Overall this was just a disappointing stay.

Any worries or concerns that I may have had disappeared the moment we pulled into the drive. From the impeccable landscaping to the timely and friendly greeting from the Inn owner, Pattie started the weekend off perfectly. She was both warm and inviting. She took the time to show us her beautiful property and all of its personalized, beautiful features and amenities. The rooms were spacious, impeccable and adorned with all of the luxuries you may want for a comfortable stay. The housekeeping crew left the room spotless and tidy each day as well. Watching Pattie work and care for her guests make the stay just that more special. She truly cares about her guests comfort. My friends and I were able to enjoy her delicious, homemade breakfasts (we could have done better of keeping her informed of any culinary preferences but she was able to accommodate a few reasonable requests). She has truly thought of every detail---from coffee/tea/filtered water access all day to homemade cookies ! Sitting on the veranda together whether in the evening or morning after breakfast, we were able to settle in surrounded by trees and enjoy one another's company. We loved it so much we are thinking of making this an annual visit. Thank you, Pattie for creating the perfect environment for us to laugh, talk and create memories until our next reunion!

We had been back to the area in 2017 but in mid summer elected to get a beach house rental for the week, walkable to Surf Drive Beach. But this fall we were returning for a shorter visit in order to see more of New England and friends from our past, so we booked here again. We learned that the inn had been sold in the interim and called to make a reservation. We discovered that the new owners Liza and Alfredo still ran it as an Inn but no longer as a Bed and Breakfast as they also had other careers and school age children. The name has been changed just a bit to reflect this. Though it was lovely in the past, we found it even more so now, even without the breakfast. You will not starve in the area. We did not, there are many choices. The Inn is just as lovely as before, though we were here in early fall during a rainy week, it was still very comfortable. If anything, the many updates made it even more so. It had been 11 years since our last visit, yet so much of the normal wear and tear we had expected were not visible. It was so fresh and cheerful in a mostly gloomy weather week. But we enjoyed every minute of our time in Woods Hole and Falmouth, from Nobska light, now restored and open twice a week for tours (do go up to the top of the tower) , Spohr Gardens, preparing for winter but monarchs still in the butterfly house, with some renovations to the aging wooden dock underway, Oyster Pond almost into fall colors, so much to see. Some new businesses to us on Main St in Falmouth, like Estia for Greek food right near the Green. For the first time ever, in a visit to Woods Hole, we did not see the drawbridge on Water Street open even once, though we ate two breakfasts at the venerable Pie in the Sky and a dinner at the Kidd. The labs were quieter than we have seen since our winter of 1980-81 though the research vessels in port. Still some activity around the Ferries but less than full summer. If you are fit and it is not raining, the Shining Sea bike path is still well used. It was so nice to be back, almost like coming home, which our former space was such a short distance from the Inn. Though busy with other careers too, Liza and Alfredo were very approachable and involved. When making arrangements for our reservations, Liza was accessible and full of information. She was raised nearby and knows everything about the area. Though they have 3 children, we never heard a peep or any disruption. It was a school week and they were taking care of their business too. We hope to return another time, in the summer, this really is our go-to place to stay in the area and in summer, I am sure the kids might be helping out too. We were so busy, I neglected to take any pictures but the previous ones are still good guides, minus the breakfast food. The room interior was still the historic furnishings but the usable floorings and bath fixtures are very new and modern. Do not hesitate, it is not a creaky old inn, like some places I have stayed around the country. It is respectful of the history but thoroughly modern where needed.

My friend made the reservation so I can't speak to that part, but I know the host answered a lot of questions via email before our stay. We checked on a Saturday around 3pm. The host (sorry, I forgot her name!) checked us in and gave us several maps of Woods Hole, Falmouth, and the Cape, giving us an overview of restaurants and activities nearby. She also offered us any beer and beverages in the mini frig in the dining room as well as checked in with any food allergies for breakfast. She was very accommodating for my friend with a gluten allergy. We got our keys to the upstairs room with a queen and twin bed. The room was very clean, airy, and had everything we needed. It included a closet with two robes, several towels in the bathroom, and a water pitcher with glasses. Breakfast the next morning was served between 8:30-9:30am outside on the deck area. The tables each had an umbrella, place settings, and a beautiful view of the yard with hydrangeas and other flowers all around. The first day we were there, we were served coffee and tea with juices inside (serve yourself) and mini muffins. Outside, the host brought us yogurt parfaits with fruit and granola to start. Then we were served a delicious bread pudding with berries and two sausage links. This was my favorite breakfast! The second day we had watermelon and blueberries then a potato frittata with red peppers on the side. Very filling and delicious too! The host also let us borrow beach towels and chairs for our first day at the beach. She gave us plenty of information on the beaches and parking. Any question we had, she was super helpful in answering! I could keep going on and on, but you get the idea! We checked out and left with a sweet gift of chocolate covered nuts and fruit!
