The room was clean, fresh, fluffy towels, and the shower is a bit small but great pressure and the water heats up quick. The staff are very friendly and always make sure that you have everything you need. Each morning I was greeted outside my door (room3) with fresh fruit, muffins or pastries, coffee or tea, variety of cereals, snacks, water and juices. The location is in walking distance to everything..you won't need an Uber. When we come back we will definitely be staying here again.

A few highlights I'd like to mention: - the food is AMAZING. Kathleen is a superb chef and takes great individual care of all of her guests. She was proactive in making sure all of her food was customized to my dietary restrictions, which was greatly appreciated. - the service is top notch. We told our waitress one morning that we planned to go to the beach that day. By the time we finished breakfast, she had packed up two beach chairs and a bag with towels, waters and snacks for us. She even put all of it out by our car so we could easily bring it for our beach trip! - the local connections and recommendations were excellent and added to our experience in Yarmouth. Chuck and Kathleen are super plugged in to their community and were able to advise us on the best places to eat around town, as well as a few pretty areas to walk and enjoy the nice weather. - the baked goods are excellent. Each day we were greeted with small, cute homemade baked goods. Banana bread and ginger cookies were the best ones in our opinion. - finally, the rooms are beautifully renovated. They did such a good job maintaining the character of the original house while providing modern day quality and amenities. 10/10 would stay here again!

The setting and décor itself is quite lovely. Jan goes out of her way to make people comfortable if they have any special requests. The rooms are clean and the price was reasonable for the long weekend. Jan was willing to accommodate my food allergies. I would have gone out to eat but Jan was such a sweetheart about it. The rooms are clean with maid service on a daily basis, our room shared an outdoor porch on the second floor. Breakfast is served 8:30am-9:30am. Jan is a great cook and Charlie services the food. I noticed he was very friendly to the other customers and talked a lot about the history of the house and the local area. I you are going to Sandwich this is a good choice. Across from the Sandwich Glass Museum and down the street from a few nice restaurants. The area is quiet and closes early. There is no pizza delivery at 9pm.

Our room was spotless and really had a summer beachy feel with a beautiful balcony. Every morning we woke up to a delicious breakfast cooked and served by Jan and Charlie. Breakfast included a Greek yogurt parfait with fresh fruit and granola as well as a delicious baked egg sandwich one morning and French toast another morning. In the evening there was a variety of wines to choose from and freshly baked cookies as well as coffee and tea throughout the day. When I called the desk about it the employee cut me off to tell me I couldn't use the bathtub after 11pm (it was 9:45pm). And that stipulation was not apparent when we booked the room. I was too grossed out to use the tub at all the rest of the week, so that was a waste of money. The bathroom was overall not very clean or well-maintained. Shower had mold and needed to be re-grouted and small things like the towel holder were broken. The restaurant is super limited, only serving breakfast on weekends with like 4 things on the menu. And the food was below average. Most of the staff were very nice and the hotel has a charming aesthetic, but the standards absolutely do not match the price. I would've brought my qualms up to them instead of writing this review, but they did not bother to ask me how my stay was when I checked out. And this is more of a personal gripe, but we let them know it was our wedding week and they didn't do anything special. Usually a place in this price range gives you a little perk, like a mini bottle of champagne or a kind note waiting for you. Nothing from this place. Honestly just sad because this was a splurge we were excited about, but we should've just stayed at a more basic hotel.

Also the salt shaker was so full of moisture no salt would come out, when I removed the top it was corroded and the salt was expanded beyond the glass shaker and covered in corrosion! While we didn't personally stay there, we coordinated with the general manager, Cindy, to have our guests stay there the week of our wedding. We were delighted to learn that prices were very reasonable for an August weekend, at under $300 per night (2-night minimum). We had no issues with our invited guests securing rooms, and it is best to book rooms by calling hotel management directly. The room decor is characteristically quaint Cape Cod themed, and was a nice bonus to welcome our many guests who had never been to Cape Cod. Cindy was accommodating in allowing our shuttle buses to pick up and drop off guests at the Red Horse Inn, and she was good at getting the guest welcome bags where they needed to go after we dropped them off.

I did notice the mattress and pillows all had encasements to prevent bugs. Since I also have this in my own house I felt very secure that I would have no unwanted guests. The bathroom was also good size and the shower was one of the best I have ever had. I don't know how the WiFi was as I did not receive a password. All in all I would go back in a heartbeat.
