I dropped off my vehicle to have the front brakes worked on. The shop recommended replacing both…read morethe front brake pads and rotors, and I approved the repairs. After the work was completed, I drove the vehicle home for the weekend. On my next drive, I noticed a burning smell. I pulled over and found that both front wheels were smoking. I had to call a tow truck to have the vehicle taken to another repair shop, where they found that Brakes Plus had over-tightened the wheel bearings when replacing the rotors. As a result, both sides now need to be replaced again. I have reached out to the store and corporate but have not received any response. I was able to speak with the store manager, but he has not been able to help with any reimbursement for the damage caused, or even for the tow truck costs to get the vehicle re-evaluated after the incorrect installation by the Brakes Plus technician.
