This was the work and orchestration of my Heavenly Father! Initially, Craigen's was only supposed to move my vehicle from shop #1 to shop #2 because the 1st AAA driver took it to the wrong place. I called shop #2 to let them know my vehicle was on the way due to a AAA error. I was THEN told they didn't do the work I needed. At that time, Savanah from Craigen's called to confirm the move. I was in a full face of tears because i was thoroughly confused. I explained what just happened and asked if she know of anyone who could fix my truck. She had such a peaceful demeanor and that was very calming. She placed me on hold and Joshua picked up the phone and gently asked me to explain the issue. I did and he was confident that they could take care of me. The entire experience was so overwhelming for me but the staff at Craigen's gave me so much peace. Johnathan was the tow truck driver who called me to let me know that he had picked up my truck and then called me back to let me know that it had been safely delivered to their shop. That was great news!! I talked back to Joshua after a confirmed diagnosis and we got the ball rolling. He was so patient with me and that was very important. They got my motor replaced, it cost me an arm and a leg (not their fault...lol) and provided A1 AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thank you Joshua, Savanah and Johnathan!!! read more

I don't even know how to start this review. First off, I won't be back. I dropped my Kia off a week ago. A couple of days after I left it with these guys, I found one of the fly traps I had bought had been torn open and looked as if the powder bait had been thrown around my back seats. If anyone has any clue what that smells like you would understand my gripe. To those that have never smelled that kind of fly trap, I would describe it as rotten garbage with a heavy fishy odor. That's what my car smells like and in this heat... Oh yeah. So today I went to check on my car, to find my window rolled all the way down. Did anyone see the weather yesterday or last night? The driver seat is soaked completely through, all of the dashboard is wet. There's standing water in the door cubbies, the car is full of mosquitoes, and that fly bait smell is really driving the flies mad. Really, Craigen's? What did I ever do to you but try to bring you business and give you money? Now I'm sitting next to my car with jumper cables because not only was my window down, but the door was left ajar also and the battery is dead. As long as my car was there I never received a call to touch base with the status of the repairs. I was only told yesterday to leave it there for a few more days. My 70+ year old Mother had a blow out on the side of the interstate...Triple A contacted this company to assist ...driver showed up without proper equipment (right size lug wrench) went back to the shop to get what's needed. Returns & STILL doesn't have right size and canceled the call! Fortunately she was close enough to me for us to assist and she wasn't in any danger, but to have a company just decide to LEAVE us extremely unacceptable and especially unprofessional! read more

They have lost focus on customer service and quality work. Shame to see a company decline due to workmanship and employees.

Craigen's in our experience has really slipped in so many ways. We have been using them for about 16 years. In the old days before they started to grow they were actually a good company but now since they have been remodeling and expanding in other things they have lost perspective. They will actually try to charge you for warranty work but will get the labor back from the parts & labor warranty. Then after they say they will fix it to cover them they screw over it and still does not work. They are a NAPA & AAA sponsor ! This bad experience is not from just one vehicle! Attention potential patrons of this business; please read this. It will give you insight that is not common knowledge. I am a former employee of this shop. I was not fired, terminated, asked to leave, compromised with, or made obsolete. I resigned of my own accord 9/11/2019. I do have a copy of my resignation to guarantee this is not a vengeful act by a jilted employee. I gave 3 weeks' notice and took my paid vacation time before leaving. I moved to a different shop; but I will not mention it by name to avoid a conflict of interest. Please. As expensive as vehicular repair is, this is highly important. My personal cell phone number is (Memphis area code), 486 followed by 2693. (I'm not sure if Yelp allows me to post private contact information.) I offer my information to guarantee I will stand by what I say. The ONLY reason I have delayed from September 2019 to February 2020 is because I did not want my w-2 to become "lost" in a petty attempt at revenge. These people are capable of that. As of 2/10/2020 I still do not have a physical w-2 and it took three email chains and a threat of legal action just to get a photo of it from HR. This business has a reputation for honesty; earned decades ago. This business is very different from it was then. If you have money or appear financially well-off, your estimate will increase. If you need parts A and B, the owner of the shop will often add parts C and D while charging you for the high quality parts but installing the budget parts, simply to gamble it will not fail within the warranty date. You cannot supply your own parts and have a warranty. Please note; all new parts used for repairs have a warranty from the store selling them. Craigen's offers no warranty implied in their labor. You must buy the parts through them. They get the parts at cost; them sell them with a massive markup BEYOND list price. Most shops sell at list. The service manager, Tim, is by far the most incompetent service manager I have encountered. Generally a service manager is a retired/former tech or an experienced service advisor. Largely because that gives them a basic knowledge of what parts are necessary to add (fuel filter with every fuel pump, things like that.) And they should know when parts can be budget quality/price or HAVE to come from the dealership. He does not. He has asked me: "What's the difference in a drive belt and serpentine belt?" (Nothing, they are different terms. The belt on your engine is the drive belt, they are usually serpentine or v-belt design.) "Would you suggest synthetic oil? The computer doesn't say it has to be." (A good mechanic will always suggest synthetic. You can mix it, you can change from conventional to synthetic and back again with zero damage. Mixing oils has not been an issue for decades.. The danger of mixing oils is a myth, has been for a long time.) "What's the difference in drum and disc brakes?" (This is too banal for me to clarify, just google it. It's impossible to not know this.) He sold a job to replace a flexplate for 0.3 hours. "That's what the computer said!" Yes, you can remove and replace a flexplate in 20 minutes. AFTER five or six hours to remove the exhaust, transmission, transfer case, and front driveshaft and THEN replace the flexplate. This was a large 4x4 railroad utility truck. He just didn't know that basic fact. When he was hired, I was told he was experienced. I knew this man before he was hired. He has 0 experience. I informed management of this because he obvIously lied on his application; and I was subtly retaliated against by management. AAA gave management either $1,000 or $2,000 (I can't recall which perfectly) to award theIr top driver. It did not go to the top driver. It did not go to the senior driver. It went to a man that management (Kesha) liked. He promptly bought massive amounts of drugs and passed out behind the tow truck's wheel and ran it off the road. This AAA award winning driver was too high to stay awake behind the wheel of a tow truck. A tech while I was there was smoking meth and taking drugs ON THE JOB. He left a woman's hood latch unbolted so her hood slammed into her windshield at 45mph. He DROPPED an FTS Ambulance service ambulance off of a vehicle lift. His drug use was known by management. No punishment. He didn't get fired until MONTHS later when he just didn't show up for a few days. Again. Welcome to Craigen's. If you people read this...I CHALLENGE you to disprove a single word or accusation. I keep good records. Try me. read more

My car broke down on a holiday weekend, towed to Craigen's Garage. They were able to diagnose, get the part and fix my car and I was still able to enjoy the Labor Day weekend and drive a 4 hour trip home with no problems. Great service read more

I thought Craigen's Garage would be more reputable than some of the various shade tree mechanics around since they are a Napa Car Care garage and also honor AAA. I have been there a few times and each time the woman in the office is quite rude and has a very bad attitude, along with being smart-mouthed with everybody. She gives a very bad impression of the entire business. I went in to get an inspection sticker and she refused to put one on the car unless I paid her an extra $5 for a window tint sticker. I told her the car came from the dealer with the window tint and there is a label under the tint saying that it complies with laws in several states, including MS. She said that label didn't mean anything. I told her it has never been a problem before and I have had the car several years. Also, the car is a Toyota Prius - definitely a car. She had the nerve to ask me if it was an SUV. I guess she thought I was so stupid to think a sticker for an SUV costs more. I don't know what the problem was there. You would think she would at least know the differences in the kinds of cars they work on. Regardless, I will now be taking my vehicles anywhere else because of the attitude and the fact that I know she was trying to cheat me out of a few more dollars. Napa and AAA really need to know about this place and I think I will notify them. I am sure they would not want to be associated with a business that cheats their customers. read more
