This place is awesome!!! I was just in today to have all four wisdom teeth removed. I was nothing but impressed from the moment I stepped through the door for my consult! The office is beautiful and clean, all of the staff from the front desk ladies, to the hygienists and assistants to Dr. Chan are all super nice, down to earth, funny, and most importantly professional and gentle!! During the consult you watch a video which is quite informative, then Dr. Chan comes to do his exam, discuss anesthesia options, and answer any and all questions you have. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Chan and that he had my best interest at heart. We decided together that local anesthesia would be best for me as I am not scared at the dentist. The gals at the front desk set me up with an estimate for my portion of the bill and explained throughly everything about my insurance policy which was super helpful! I got a nice reminder call the day before surgery and they even called in my scripts the day before so I would have less to worry about after surgery which was great! The day of surgery I was a little scared but Debbie made me feel so comfortable before I was taken back!! I was taken back for surgery and prepped both girls assisting were so nice they made me laugh when I was scared and made me feel so at home! I was given my novacaine injections by Dr. Chan,which worked so quickly, then we went over my discharge instructions, and surgery started. It was so quick, simple, and easy! I am so pleased with Dr. Chan an his whole staff! I am about 4 hours post-op, no longer numb, and virtually pain free! Thank you Dr. Chan and staff I am truly grateful for the fantastic care!! I've had multiple procedures done by Dr. Chan and he is not only an amazingly skillful surgeon but extremely personable. As someone who gets very nervous/anxious about anything medical, he put all of my concerns to rest. Each procedure was quick and PAINLESS. He even called to check on my recovery the very next day. This place is amazing! I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed last Friday which I had been nervous about for quite a while. I got a consultation done a few days beforehand where I was greeted by Kayla & Tina up front, and they were both so friendly and sweet which in itself is very comforting; they were also extremely helpful with all my questions. The waiting time was so quick before I got taken back both times. Silvia was the surgical assistant that was with me during the consultation and the actual procedure, and I can not emphasize enough just how great she is. I think I exploded all of my questions that I had about everything on her which she answered happily and diligently. I remember right before I was put under for the surgery that I said, "I'm nervous" and she calmly touched my shoulder and reassured me. I seriously loved having her there! The day of my surgery, Stephanie was up front that early morning when my nerves were the most tense, but she was so cool (my partner who was waiting for me met her when she told her to pull around to pick me up and agrees that she was very nice). I also met another amazing surgical assistant named Anthony who was just as reassuring and friendly. Dr. Thompson was the surgeon, and maybe I'm just biased at this point but he was the BEST. Here I am on day 6 and feeling totally fine! Although I am of course sore, it is not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. I have been to places where I have gotten procedures done and the people there don't care because they deal with it all the time, but everyone at this office made me feel like I was their only patient and that they'd do anything they could for me which is so sweet. The office is HORRIBLE. They stated my copay was a certain amount, we came to a Maximum Agreed Amount and we paid this in full. Afterword, the office called and said additional monies were due, we reminded them of the "Agreement" regarding the maximum amount we would pay, they didn't care! We paid this, however, they came up with yet again, additional monies and sent us to collections! The work was so so and most orthodontist are competent. Stay away from this office, they will rip you off. read more

Tooth extraction didn't go well! The tooth was broken in half while being extracted - a piece of the root was left. Another dentist who was going to do an implant noticed the broken root and told me it had to be extracted and a new bone graft done before the implant could be performed. My wife a retired dentist verified the existence of the root piece left. An x-ray by Dr. Chan following the extraction clearly should have shown the root left but Dr. Chan chose to ignore that. At this point I have no confidence in having him try and fix anything - my wife won't let me return to him, instead it will cost me another $1200 which will include another bone graft and another three months for that to heal. Do yourself a favor and look for another surgeon. read more

Dr Chan Is literally the best. I have absolute disabilitating anxiety when it comes to Dentistry, especially oral surgery. I came to DR Chan back in 2017 and needed to get all 4 wisdom teeth out. I originally asked if we could split up the surgeries to help with anxiety of doing to much at one time. I was so nervous leading up to the first surgery, and when I finally went in for my appt he removed the right 2 Wisdom teeth, I was in n' out in less than hour. He told me to come back and do the other two when I was ready. I just came back recently to do the other 2. Again I was so nervous for no reason, I was in n' out of the surgery in less than 20 minutes. He has such a gentle touch, and lets you listen to the music of your choice. The nurses and front staff are so welcoming and warm. Also I was fully AWAKE for both surgeries. Dr Chan will do whatever it takes to ensure your experience is the best. I will always be a loyal client to DR. Chan for any Oral surgery needs. read more

If you need your wisdom teeth removed, Dr. Chan is the man. My orthodontist and dentist told me mine should come out, and several of my friends recommended Dr. Chan - strongly recommended him. I was able to get an appointment about 3 weeks from when I called, which is even less lead-time than my regular dentist (your mileage may vary). At the pre-op the doctor was very friendly, and the staff very helpful. He explained the whole process well, and gave me a whole range of anesthesia options. The actual surgery was quick and painless. Dr. Chan emphasized that he tries to do the extraction as quickly, neatly, and painlessly as possible, and he was not lying. From when the novacaine kicked (I had local anesthesia) in it took about 20 minutes to extract all four teeth, and I didn't even realize that he'd already removed all of them. I followed all of the (very explicit) post-op instructions carefully, and I had very little pain in the days following the surgery. Within four or five days, my swelling was down a lot, and I didn't even need to take ibuprofen anymore. There were no complications at all, and when I had a dentist appointment 1.5 weeks later to get my teeth cleaned, the hygienist said she could barely tell I'd just had my wisdom teeth out. Obviously, you cannot compare oral surgeons as you can restaurants; you really only get your wisdom teeth removed once, but my experience with Dr. Chan was nothing but favorable. read more

Dr. Chan extracted two wisdom teeth for me. It was quick and efficient. He has many anesthetic options. I went with local, and it was fine. Even with one tooth fused to the jaw bone, I had virtually no swelling afterward. Very little pain, even in the following days and after the Novocain wore off. Dr. Chan actively tries to be thorough and to non-invasive as possible. It's easy to get an appointment. He and his staff is very kind and friendly. Dr. Chan is great! read more

Both of my daughters had their wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Chan. He removed my 16 year old daughter's wisdom teeth this summer and everything went really well. We had a lot of questions, and he was extremely patient in explaining the whole process. I especially liked that he had several different options for anesthesia. We opted for the one where you're awake, but you don't feel anything or remember anything. She healed quickly without a lot of pain or bleeding. I was having mind blowing headaches that my dentist confirmed were coming from needing a root canal. I went to see an Endodontist (Dr. McLachlan) who confirmed the need for a root canal but, I mentioned to her that I was thinking about just having the tooth extracted. She sent me over to see Dr. Chan right away and given my history with the tooth he could see why I wanted it out. Dr. Chan laid out options in having the tooth extracted, he clearly told me of problems that could possibly arise down the road from having it removed and several options on how to prevent the problems. After discussing it with my husband, I decided to have the tooth extracted. Dr. Chan was able to fit me in and did a great job. I think the whole thing took 20 minutes. I did feel pressure but ZERO pain. He let me listen to my own music which helped to distract me. The instructions for caring for my mouth were clear. I had it done yesterday and today I feel great! I'm still drinking smoothies but, the swelling is gone, the bleeding is gone, and more importantly the headaches are gone! I loved that there was no "hard sell" to do one thing or another. I love that Dr. Chan (and Dr. McLachlan) listened to me, and then laid out many options, gave me all the information, then let ME make the best decision for ME. read more
