He recommended I have a bone graft and osseous surgery for an ongoing issue I was having with gum along back molar. He knew that I had been on oral and IV bisphosphonate drugs but didn't advise me of some of the issues these could cause with surgery. I had major problems after surgery including two areas of bone exposure along the gum line and delayed healing. He was very dismissive during each after visit and said, I just need to have that tooth pulled. I had always told him that I wanted to keep the tooth as I knew pulling a tooth could lead to many other issues. But he did not want to work with me in preserving the tooth and/or helping me to get this area healed. He said there was nothing more he could do, just go to a surgeon. I immediately changed periodontists. The current doctor was kind, caring, professional and worked with me to save my tooth. And all areas of bone exposure have now healed.
