***POTENTIAL PATIENTS BEWARE!!!***…read more I came in here a few years ago and at first my experience was good. When it turned out that I needed an extraction of one of my teeth, Dr. Tuchin attempted to do so only to watch my tooth crumble. Dr. Tuchin preceded to whack away at my head with a hammer and chisel. I am not joking, he literally did this. When he was unable to completely remove the tooth he told me that eventually it would fall out by itself (and still charged me full price). It was easily the worst dental experience of my entire lifetime and I would strongly recommend that anybody in their right mind stay as far from this man as humanly possible. I just went to a new dentist and they told me that there is no way on Earth that this remaining tooth portion would have ever fallen out by itself and that no dentist would ever truthfully assert such a thing. Dr. Tuchin also did work on me prior to checking with my insurance to make sure it was covered. I assumed that it was and had the work done. Only later on when he billed me for the entire procedure did I find out the truth (that it was in fact not covered at all). This was a financial hardship for me and I still really can't believe it even happened in this day and age. It is my belief that this gentleman should have retired many years ago and is probably undergoing issues with senility. Seriously, I am not sure why he is still in business. Maybe he's okay working on senior citizens that occasionally need a cleaning, but if he's actually challenged to do any real dentistry (that might require knowledge above the most fundamental skill set), he is totally out of his league! I honestly think he should consider quitting now before he really hurts somebody! Addendum: In response to the recent posting by Mort S Tuchin; You are absolutely ridiculous! Clearly you have been the victim of a rather extreme case of senility! I have the documentation to prove all of my allegations and frankly, you're lucky that I didn't sue your pants off. As far as I'm concerned, anybody that walks through of your office is taking their life in their hands. You are an aging has-been at best and a sadistic monster at worst. You should retire immediately and save the rest of the world from what you did to me! You should also be very thankful that I am a forgiving human being with a kind heart, and not a pig like you.

Super Honest and Very Experienced!…read more I recently got insurance through Delta Dental and went to see my assigned HMO dentist. He quoted me almost $900 for a crown. I went to Dr. Tuchin for a second opinion. He only charged me $21 for an xray on the subject tooth, and said he didn't think I needed a crown at all. I wish Dr. Tuchin were my HMO dentist, but unfortunately he is not on my plan. Dr. Tuchin is super experienced and very friendly. My mom is the one who referred me, and she loves him! The office is no frills, but the service is top notch! I highly recommend this dentist and will go back to him even though he is not on my plan.

As a small business owner, I genuinely dislike leaving negative reviews -- I understand how much…read morethey matter. But my experience was so unacceptable that I feel obligated to warn others. I was referred to Dr. Evans specifically because he is a biological dentist who specializes in ceramic implants. I scheduled my appointment about a month in advance. Before my visit, I proactively sent my existing 3D scan to the office via file transfer so I wouldn't need to be re-exposed to X-rays. I called to confirm receipt -- and they confirmed they had it. When I arrived for my 2:00 PM appointment, the front desk told me I would need a new 3D scan. I explained I had already sent mine over. They acted as if they had no record of it -- until they suddenly confirmed they did have it. Fifteen minutes later, they reversed again, claiming they couldn't open the files. I knew this wasn't a file issue, since every other office I'd sent the same files to had opened them without any problem. Eventually a second staff member was brought over, and after another 15 minutes, the files were opened. After more waiting, a staff member came to take me back -- straight to the X-ray machine -- and asked me to remove my earrings for a 3D scan. When I questioned it, she left, returned, and confirmed they did have my scan. I was sent back to the lobby. I was then brought to another room where staff asked me the exact same intake questions that no fewer than five different people had already asked me. It was now 2:45 PM, and I had not yet seen the doctor. They also made sure to charge me for the appointment before any services were rendered. At 2:55 PM -- nearly an hour after my appointment time -- I informed the front desk I needed to leave to pick up my child at 3:00. Only then did anyone rush to get the doctor. Dr. Evans came in at 2:57 PM, provided no information, answered none of my questions, and concluded the appointment at exactly 3:00. That was a complete waste of my time and money. The office is disorganized, the communication between staff is nonexistent, and there is zero respect for patients' time. You are the paying customer -- and they will make you wait an hour without acknowledgment or apology. I would not recommend this office to anyone.
