If you value your teeth, STAY AWAY FROM HERE. They try to up-sell services to you every chance they get, and that's not even the reason you should stay away. That's just a small annoyance compared to the damage they'll try to do. I lost a filling while out of town and made an appointment to see my new dentist on my return, both for a routine cleaning and the lost filling. I had no pain or issues with the lost filling. After a brief exam, I was told that I needed a crown. ...What? I lost a filling. I didn't break a tooth or chip anything. The explanation seemed plausible, but I expressed interest in another opinion. I got a fairly plausible explanation with added "but it could break at any time and then you will need a complete root canal" thrown in. The pressure to make a decision then, coupled with an intense workload, and being overtired from a long work trip eventually had me agree to the work. The price was unbelievable. Again, the intense pressure to make a decision immediately should have sent me scurrying, but I just wanted to get it fixed and get my teeth cleaned. I signed up for an in-house finance plan after it was explained to me that my insurance would only cover $200 worth of work. I was also told that I needed "deep" cleaning so they weren't going to have the hygienist clean my teeth, but I could schedule the deep cleaning to start with the remainder of the crown. A deep cleaning in this office, btw, means that they can charge you more money. It felt like a scam to me. I agreed to it so that I could get the heck out of there. I did not get an itemized bill from them. Just a copy of my agreement, and a receipt for the payment I made. I went home and called my insurance company. Repeated calls to the dentist for an itemized receipt, including billing-codes, went un-returned. ("The billing specialist was not available.") So I went in again, unannounced, and stayed until I got what I needed. My insurance was great - they told me EXACTLY what I should have paid, and it was more than $1200 LESS than what my agreement had me on the hook for. Out of pocket, my costs were under $400 with a top-of-the line crown. My insurance company offered to call the dentist for me. Surprise! The billing specialist was not available for them, either. The insurance company gave me great advice. Another trip to the dentist, in-person and unannounced, and we straightened the price out... until my first bill, which once again was more than $1000 over what it should have been. Seriously - this billing BS went on for a while. Sadly, my insurance company would not cover completing my procedure with another dentist, so I had to stay with this one, despite my increasing lack of trust in them... (Every day I pray that they did it right.) If you value your teeth, STAY AWAY. These guys don't care about your dental health, they just want your money. ALL OF IT. If you do end up here, CALL YOUR INSURANCE AND CHECK YOUR INVOICING. You're very likely being ripped off. read more

Well, I don't know where to begin.. Most of these reviews are so polarized (hot/cold) that there must be another story behind this, but that for someone else to post their remarks. So, I am from the East coast, just moved to the area about 1 year ago and will provide a more "global" view of how my experience was at Camino Dental. After living in NYC, Philly and DC, I've developed a sense of an interview process for all healthcare entities. I actually walked in, introduced myself and said I was considering dentists in the area and would like to tour your facility, speak with a DDS and chat with one other person -- they were very surprised, but accommodated me anyway, and did quite well! Note: I highly recommend anyone/everyone to do the same if you are truly concerned about your healthcare. Ex: after moving from NYC, I kept my physician there and would drive the 2.5hrs, just for their care. Orthodontia for my kids was a 50min drive to Chalfont, PA. Nothing but the best, from staff friendliness and education/experience for my family. My experience.. I had a crown put in, one child had impacted wisdom teeth removed (deep anesthesia) and 2 fillings on my then 9yr old. The only item that did not work was the crown and i had a tricky spot, so they re-did it, free of charge and no hassle (of course). The staff was very nice, accommodating and friendly. I feel the professionalism is there, but to throw all the other naysayers a bone, I AM from the East coast ; ) Last point on the up-selling-- again, this is quite common and expected, particularly if you use any GROUPON, anywhere. C'mon... a free trip to FL or Cancun and you KNOW you have to sit through that seminar and buy a timeshare, right? A true scam, that I've experienced back home is when, for example, the DDS gives you an estimate of a procedure and lets say it's $75 and your insurance pays 80/20... what a scamming office does, they come back after they do it and tell you it cost actually $90 and you have to pay the difference. The scam is, they're getting 100% of the difference, when they should be actually resubmitting your bills to get your 80/20 on the new figure and they are reluctant to do it... unbelievable! Happens all the time... Ya'll ain't seen nothing : ) I give Camino 4.75 stars for them being engaging, accommodating and so far, pretty good work! I have been to *alot* of dentists in the past, and personally I thought the treatment was just fine. Actually, I felt both comfortable and confident that the folks working on my teeth(Clinton Park and whoever was assisting) were both competent and decent people, which is really all I care about. However, I was not participating in any groupons or discounts and cannot comment on any teeth-cleaning or up-selling, as my teeth are bad and I needed some new crowns. They gave me a list of different crowns that were available and I was actually recommended the cheaper option by the 'benefits coordinator' or whatever she is called, which was reassuring. But I must admit, I like 'Dental Barbie', and when I see one that fits the bill, I certainly won't mind. In all seriousness though, during the treatment -- removal of old crown and fitting of temporaries -- the dentist Clinton Park said that my teeth were problematic and my gums were not liking the metal that was contacting them, so he went ahead and ordered the more expensive full composite crowns, at no cost to me(or insurance)! Moreover, the dental people made a point of giving me my old gold crowns back and told me I might be able to get money for them, which I personally would never have pursued. Now, maybe other people will have a different experience, but for myself I am going back w/out reservations. If they try and up-sell, well I can tell them no, all I care about is that they work on my teeth right, and so far this is what they have done. I NEVER would EVER give anyone 5 for 5 on general principle, but since the rating is so poor, i will do so now. read more

My husband was referred here by his normal dentist for a surgical extraction of an infected tooth. Camino Dental (and especially Heather, the lovely lady at the front desk) handled everything with our insurance honestly, accurately, and fully. The last surgeon we went to tried to scam us and tell us that our copay was over $700, when it was $115. Camino Dental gave us the exact amount our insurance said it would be, and also CUT the price by having our insurance cover the anesthesia! The day we came in, the surgeon even suggested that one of the wisdom teeth our dentist had recommended be removed didn't need to be, thereby cutting our costs even further! As the spouse of the patient, I was given a clear understanding of what to expect, where to be, how long the wait would be, etc. At every turn they made certain both the patient and the person waiting were as comfortable as possible by keeping us informed and relaxed. I knew the day we came in for the surgery how much it would cost, how long it would take, what to expect afterwards, how long recovery would take, everything. Nothing was a mystery or confusing. Also, the day of the surgery, we had no wait. They put him right back into the room, showed me what was going on, allowed me to wait with him to meet with the surgeon before and see what was going to be done exactly. I have always felt dental offices are out for the money, but this one cut our costs in half, and made sure our insurance was properly handled. We will be switching from our regular dentist to this office as well, they made everything that simple. read more

Cheers to a great experience! I was recommended to Camino Dental Group from a friend and can't thank him enough. In the past, I've had nightmare stories with dentists. I was very skeptical to even see a dentist again. My friend recommended Dr. El-Maasri and I'm so glad he did. I came into the office on an emergency situation. One of my in-lays broke off and I had a huge hole in my mouth. I called in the morning and they got me an appointment for that same day at 1 pm. When I got there, I was greeted by upbeat and personable ladies at the front desk. I filled out my paperwork and they brought me back. The tech took x-rays and Dr. El-Maasri came in. She did an exam and went over my x-rays and let me know what I needed. I felt like I could totally trust her. After discussing my treatment, she proceeded with a couple shots and drilling. I was bracing myself for the pain that I had experienced with other dentists in the past and to my surprise, I had no pain or discomfort at all! I don't know how she did it but I had two in-lays worked on and it was painless. She was gentle and cared about my well being. I'm happy to say I have found a dentist I can trust and will continue to go back to her. And the best part is that my teeth and mouth feel normal again which is a huge relief. Wow!!!!! This office was awesome starting from the first phone call i made to the office to schedule a new patient appointment. The staff was great! I did not have to wait more than 5 min to be called back from the reception area. When i was called back a young lady named Saronia took my x-rays wow was she great! Then finally i had my exam and met my Doctor her name was Doctor Goddess She was the best very precise and cared about me as a patient. I needed a crown and she went through with me different crown materials and why non metal crown would be healthier over crowns that had metal. she also told me why she recommended this crown for me. She then introduced me to her money lady serene she was great she presented me with different choices off my insurance as far a crown materials and let me know it was my choice. she was not pushy or salesey at all! After such a great experience i ended up going with the crown doc Goddess recommended because i could tell that the staff wanted what was best for me! i was very satisfied with this office and i will tell all my friends and family to go here!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always have had a fear of going to the dentist, in part because I feel as though I neglect my teeth. I've been going to Camino Dental for 3 years now and have had a positive experience with all the staff members and the dentists. This dental office seems to have low ratings and after reading all the reviews, I have to wonder if the people who are posting hate suggestions. In the past, I have had dental issues because I didn't floss regularly and the hygienist gave me great advice, showing me how to floss properly. I have been consistent with my flossing and hope for good news the next time I'm in. I did have an issue with a replaced inlay, which has fallen off a couple of times after eating corn on the cob and flossing. So, I can't place the blame on the dentist or the procedure itself. It could simply have been something that just happened. Dr. Park was very professional and suggested a crown and how to floss around the crown so it would go flying across the room and crack the mirror. I was not charged for the replacements, which was a pleasant surprise. Ultimately, we as consumers have the power to say no to a suggested service and obtain a second opinion if you feel it necessary. read more

My husband and I have been using this dental office for a few years now and the staff is great. They are wonderful about calling to remind you about appointments, when you arrive the staff is friendly and great you with a smile. When you are called back they are super nice...xrays are done on computer so the image is right on the computer to see easily. I would say the ONLY problems that our family has had has been with our own teeth, brushing is important...these teeth are in your mouth so take care of them. Don't get upset with this great staff for telling you what has gone wrong in your own body. Dr. Park wants you to look your best. It is hard to see all the reviews that are bad, but this is what this is about giving your opinion and everyone has one. Just remember that odviously they are a busy office for a reason, people keep coming back to them because a majority of them are happy with the work and care that they are given in this office. Been going to this dentist office for several years. This office was recommended by my brother. I suffer from extremely sensitive teeth. Because of this issue, it was hard for me to find a Dental Group that was sensitive to my teeth's needs. I used to make excuses not to go see the dentist because it was so painful. They are able to numb my mouth and complete any work I need done. I don't mind going to the dentist anymore. Today, I saw my dentist, Dr. Park. He is always friendly, courteous and makes sure me, and my teeth, are doing fine. I also had to have X-Rays today which were performed by Sofia. Very nice lady and always made sure I was comfortable during the procedure. Lastly, I saw my Hygienist, Miguel. Miguel was awesome at cleaning my teeth. Because he knew about my sensitivity, he asked if I was fine during the entire procedure. It was obvious he wanted to make my appointment pain free & street free. This Dental Group definitely caters to those people who have teeth issues like mine. read more

I had the most pleasant experience in this place. Front office staff very friendly and effective and dental assistants very nice and professional. I needed to do the Zoom whitening and two crowns and two fillings so I was there for couple of hours. Dr.Arjmandi and her awesome team made my visit so much better than I expected. I am a big gagger and all the assistants Serona, Gina and Norma made it so easy for me to be comfortable while I was in the dental chair. Dr. Arjmandi is knowledgeable and has a very gentle touch. She walked me through the procedures while she was working on me all the time. The insurance girl (they call her benefit coordinator) was so informative and she helped me to chose the best option for my crowns. I absolutely recommend this place to everybody I know and I want to ask you guys who read this, to give this place a shot. I promise, you wont regret it. Again. A 10 + top notch practice I do t write reviews..... but I had to share the amazing professionalism, kindness and truly excellent experience I've had with all the staff and Dr.Park. I'm a big chicken when it comes to the dentist, Ive had horrible experiences.. like living thru the movie Hostile!! !!!!!!!!! I never thought I would actually look forward to going to the dentist! Dr Park explained each process, pros and cons and fixed all the botched work from past dentists and somehow seriously made it a painless experience. From the kind reminder calls... never getting upset if I had to reschedule. Always fitting me in and dealing with my 1,000 questions and concerns with a smile. i really don't know why there are so many bad reviews!! i went there for the first time today and i rushed home just to write a review because i loved it so much!! every receptionist there was really nice and extremely helpful, especially sirrene! Then the assistant, Noah, was making me laugh and making me feel better because i was nervous! It did take a little longer then expected but i see that as a good thing because that means they take there time with each patient!! Then the Dentist, Dr. Markle was probably the best dentist i'v ever had! I felt so relaxed and i had to have a shot which i usually panic over!! he was so gentle and slow!! they wrote down the fees for everything i needed done and the price really wasn't that bad and no one tried to sell me anything i didn't need. Just went here for the first time and had a great experience. When I first got there, the dentist, Joanna El-Maasri called me back to her office and actually spent the time to get to know me a little. Asked if I had any concerns or if I needed anything addressed at this visit. She was very welcoming and friendly. I've moved around a lot and been to a few dentist- I've never had this kind of service. I came in for just a basic checkup and cleaning. Because I was a new client, I needed x-rays and this is my least favorite part of going to the dentist. The assistant who took care of me, Sarona, was so friendly!! She made sure to be as quick as possible and accommodate my needs. Dr. El- Maasri saw me quickly after that and did my exam, cleaned my teeth and explained everything she was doing along the way. I went to Camino Dental Group because it is in my neighborhood. I am happy to report that the service was excellent. The dentist Megan Arjmandi, D.D.S. along with her assistant Sarona were very professional. They made sure that I was not in any discomfort and called me at home to check up on me. I had three crowns placed with no problems at all. This is definitely a pain free dental office. They were also very informative on what they were doing and answered all my questions. They use modern equipment and follow high hygiene procedures. I saw patients of all ages while there. I also had a visit with Jennifer Parks, RDH for deep cleaning. She was experienced and provided the cleaning without pain or discomfort to me. I was very pleased with the procedure. I highly recommend them. read more
