I've been back to his new shop twice now and it's perfect for our "new existence". You are the only customer in his comfortable and COVID compliant space. You both wear masks. I'm a retired hairdresser and I always followed two simple rules; LISTEN to what your client wants and give them your full attention while they are in your chair. Even at noisy busy Floyd's, José was never distracted and gave me his full attention. In his new shop, it's even better. You won't meet a nicer guy and you will not be disappointed with your haircut. And I'm picky! Seriously, if you are searching for the perfect barber/stylist, José is your man.

Very disappointing experience. I will not be coming back…read more My barber was **Dale**, and I was seated in the **second chair from the back of the shop**. I paid $40 for my haircut and even left a $20 tip because I didn't realize how poorly the haircut had been done until I got home and looked at it carefully. The haircut was noticeably uneven and poorly blended. I also discovered that several long hairs had been left behind my ears and were never properly trimmed. The haircut was bad enough that I went to **Supercuts the same day** and paid for another haircut just to have it fixed. The stylist at Supercuts cleaned up the long hairs that Dale had left behind my ears and ultimately had to cut my hair down to one uniform #0.5 length because I was so unhappy with how uneven the original haircut looked. So I paid **$40 plus a $20 tip here, and then had to spend another $30 at Supercuts to correct the haircut.** I ended up spending about **$90 total** just to get a properly finished haircut. Afterward, I looked through the reviews and noticed several other recent customers describing similar problems with uneven or poorly executed haircuts. One review even specifically mentions the **second seat from the back of the shop**, which is exactly where I was seated. I can't say whether that customer had the same barber, but the similarity definitely stood out to me. I don't recommend this place, and I will not be returning.

We're full time RVers so finding a place to get our hair cut isn't always easy. We go with what we…read morecan find in most places and just say "its hair, it will grow back". Even with that, there are some places that are better than others. We're in a lot of small towns and we try to find women owned shops whenever we can. We're an African American couple with two very different hair textures and in many instances the places we've gone have been fine. While most of the folks aren't used to cutting my hair texture (they just don't have the clientele in their small towns), I've not had anything catastrophic happen ;-) So, this was a refreshing turn of events for us.... This is our place and our people and they know our hair textures and can do a great job. We booked on the app and one of our appointments was with Priest and another was with someone that didn't work there any longer. We called to confirm and got set up for Priest to do both of our cuts. We're mostly in the Western States, we travel and work full time in our 44' 5th wheel toy hauler. You're welcome to follow our adventures - https://www.youtube.com/c/MileHighBeach What worked: Easy to find Parking was accessible for me. I am on crutches right now so getting parked and into the location was easy. Shop vibe was 'entertaining'. It was before noon and the fun had already started. Fun to watch the 'entry walk'. These gentlemen in here are serious about their craft and there is a flare of artistry and mastery with their work. Priest was great to work with and took pride in his work. Music was playing, but it was a good mix. The shop service providers were diverse. What didn't work The couches/seats/chairs in this shop are too low for me....I'm on crutches and would not have been able to get off of those low couches. They gave me a rolling office chair to sit in so they were very accommodating. Priest gave us his card and invited us to come back when we're in town. We were staying at the State Park and we loved it so much, we'd definitely come back. We've spent most of the last nearly 3 years in Utah, Oregon, Nevada, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Arizona....not all places have barbershops that get what a 'shadow faded faux hawk' is ;-D. This was a much needed cultural shot in the arm for us. We'll definitely come back!
