I've been getting my hair cut here for close to 30 years. From Mohawks to mullets. You can't beat the price, quality of service with the old school barber shop vibe! read more

I went here for haircuts for 20 years. Monica is the best! Great place. It has the "old school" barber shop feel.

Our family, husband & 2 boys (now 24 & 15) have been going to Monica for over 26 years. She even gave my daughter her first hair trim 20 years ago. We wouldn't go anywhere else! It feels like going to see an old freind every time, plus we get great hair cuts. read more

Been going here for twenty years, the hair cutters are the friendliest and the best. If you're looking for a "non-corporate/non-chain" barbershop, this is the place. read more

With a new job came the need for a new place to get my haircut on my lunch breaks. After consulting the Internet, I settled on giving Aurora Highland a shot; it's nice to hit it out of the park on the first swing. Sat in Tino's chair and had some good conversation. Not too much, but enough to help pass the time. The cut itself was fantastic. He took the time to take my three week scruff beard down to a 5'o'clock shadow with his clippers and cleaned up the edges with some hot foam and a straight edge. And all of this for $14. You'll need cash, as they don't accept any kind of card, but the ATM trip was a small price to pay. Highly recommended. read more

They used to be better, I'd gotten great haircuts from Monica and Tino since 2010 when I moved to Aurora. However, in the last couple of years, they've been trying out new barbers here. I haven't seen Tino working on weekends for a while and I've gotten terrible haircuts whenever I don't wait for Monica's chair. Now I look in the door to see who's working before going in. read more

Ok, It's been a while since I've been here (like a couple of years) but I have to share an experience that that I found incredible. My mom would take my brother and I here every once in a while during middle school and high school, maybe a total of like 8 times. But years later, I was about 25, back home for a visit, and I wandered in for a haircut. To the best of my knowledge I don't have any incredibly memorable features like some crazy Bond-villain scar across my face or anything... But about 3 minutes into the cut, the woman helping me (wish I could remember her name!) asked me, "So do you and your brother still play soccer? I remember last time you were here you guys had just come from a soccer game..." and that was like 7 YEARS EARLIER! For the customer service ALONE I should have been going here for years. I think I'll make a point of it next time I'm up there. read more

The barber who helped me didn't do a good job. I felt like she was just trying to get rid of me as fast as she could. My side burns weren't fixed at all and she cutted a big chunk of my hair I didn't ask for. This place doesn't feel very welcoming. read more

For 14 dollars, you get a tremendous value. The barber took his time and did a very good job, plus they shave your sideburns and around your ears to give you a much cleaner look. The other salons I go to don't go through the extra effort like the folks at Highland Barbers. The staff is very friendly and laidback. The interior is decorated with a lot of sports memorabilia, and honestly its not very fancy or special, but most guys probably won't care. It is clean and that's good enough for me. For the price, you get an exceptional value. I've been going to Classic Cut for a number of years and I can say the haircuts aren't nearly as good, and each time is different. Roosters was decent, but they didn't do the shave for free and it's 25 dollars. This barbershop is probably the best or at least one of the best in Aurora. The only downsides are that it can get extremely busy at times and they only take cash. read more

I've been coming here for 20years. Best neighbor hood shop around. Never had a bad haircut. Great people that know what to do. Yes , there is a small wait time, but that is because they are so busy. It's only a two person shop. read more

Old time barber shop, no frills and solid haircuts. Problem is they don't let you have any idea how long you are going to wait when you arrive or greet you in any way at all really. Waited over an hour for a decent haircut. Not worth the wait if you are in a hurry. I understand that they want to give quality haircuts every time but at least let everyone who is waiting know about how long you anticipate the wait to be. And, say hi to every customer when they come through the door. Probably won't go back because to me greeting customers when they enter and letting them know how long the wait is going to be is just basic customer service even for a barber shop. read more

New in town and needed a new place for a haircut. Went to this barber with a friend to get the shag chopped off. Our cuts looked good in the end but the experience was lacking. You go to a barber for a certain experience. If I wanted someone to just go over my head with a pair of clippers I would go to a cuttery. The barber did not shave my friend's neck, though that would have been appropriate with his cut. I got a bunch cut off and the barber left hair sitting on my face for what felt like an eternity. Never brushed it off- I just managed to blow it off after a while. Itched like hell. Both of us left with out getting the hair swept or blown off, which is just aggravating. Probably just the barber that we got- the guy in the next chair over got a really nice fade with a hot shave and rolled out looking like a champion. read more

Our first visit here. Great value for the money. They take great care with the details. No rush jobs. Appreciate the razor shave around the ears and back of neck, and the college pennant collection on the walls. You should give them a shot! read more

I love this barber shop. great haircuts, low prices. really friendly barbers. (Shout out to Monica) you ROCK. Thanks for the service you guys provide. read more

Great haircut for a great value. Straight razor the neck the way you want it. Why pay outrageous prices for the franchised experiences? You know the ones, a semi-attractive woman cutting your hair for over twice what Highland charges, and for what? The pleasure of their company? For the practical male go with Highlands. read more

Awesome barber shop! I've been living in Aurora for a month now and have been here twice and both times have been a great experience. Friendly, great cuts and a reasonable price! I just got out of the Marines and still like my haircuts every once in awhile and this place definitely meets my standard of a good haircut. read more
