I absolutely love this place. Steve not only does a great job with the haircut (he pays a lot of attention to detail and even does a straight-razor neck trim), but he also makes everyone feel like family. This is the barber shop I have been looking for for over 50 years. Seriously. There are usually a couple of regulars that are sitting and chatting with Steve and they make it even more enjoyable. I was on my way out to the airport and realized I wasn't going to make my flight. I pulled over and after a quick chat with Delta and reschedule I was all set. I had another day to spend with my lovely lady friend! Ka-Ching!!! BUT I desperately needed a cut and my beard was shaggy. Saturday in Aurora at 4 p.m. and I needed some help. Hello YELP. Four barbers within 2 miles. Then I saw Barber Shop AND Cigars!!!??? Nunh Uh!!! SOLD!!! This was truly a five star experience. It is seldom that you receive this level of customer service excellence anywhere! Steve is a true professional. The cut, beard trim and a neck shave were perfect. The humidor was a real treat as well! Perdomo, Arturo Fuente, Diamond Crown, and so much more! I was extremely happy with this barber the first time I went but when I tried to cancel an appointment he claims he never received the cancelation call and wanted to charge me for that visit. He handled himself very poorly over the phone when I wanted to reschedule. I was shocked at the way he handled himself. He straight out told me "Your wife never called and left a message!" Apparently his answering service has some flaws because according to my wifes phone call log, she did call and was on that call leaving a message for about 30 seconds. But it seems like it doesn't matter to this business owner. So if you need to cancel an appointment, make sure you keep calling until someone answers your call. If it wasn't for his poor business skills I would give him a decent rating. Whether he got the call or not I believe you should not treat your customers that way. I guess customer service doesn't mean much to his business. read more

I've only been going to true barbers for a few years now but anyone would be able to describe this place as well run. Steve is a great human being. Not only does he give a great cut, but he will become one of your friends. I have recommended him to all of my classmates. If you are in the neighborhood and don't need a cut, don't worry. Swing by anyway, grab a beer from his keg or a cigar from his walk in humidor and watch a game in his leather seated lounge. You could also play some pool. I'm glad that I have found a barber that I can keep using consistently. I am military and so was Steve so I enjoy hearing his stories. I also appreciate the military discount. If you need a great shave or cut or in my case, both, Steve and his barber shop paradise is the place to go. He is not only an amazing barber, but his place is super chill. I went to The Clip Joint yesterday, the first day after Steve was allowed to reopen from CV-19. It was my first time to see him but he asked how I wanted my hair and he cut it exactly like I asked, which rarely seems to happen with too many barbers these days. He gave me a perfect haircut. He got the mirror after he was done, as all barbers do, but I knew I didn't need to look, you can tell as he is cutting your hair that he is a true artist in his craft. Thanks Steve. read more
