No one takes time to write about the "most mediocre dinner I ever had, it was just what I ordered." NO! It's either the VERY BEST and you want to shout it from the rooftops, or it was so incredibly bad that it is worth ruining a company's online reputation... in turn, ruining their in-person reputation. I have never been to an event and thought, "Oh, I can't wait to write about this and tell everyone I know!" UNTIL NOW... For the past several weeks I have been assisting a friend in planning a private party to celebrate her 25th Anniversary with a 50-Person Guest List. We interviewed several caterers, all with 5-Star reviews, all with something they felt they brought to the table that others didn't, but of the several we spoke to, Chef Jeff was the one we both immediately felt drawn to. He doesn't have a gimmick, he wasn't set on steering us away from the the menu we asked for, as was the case with the others. He didn't bat an eye at our request for "filet & lobster," but rather, he elevated it to the most incredible filet and lobster pairing one will ever taste. That was a big deal for my friend, as it was what was served at their wedding reception 25-years ago. Although we explained the importance of the dish to the other caterers, each of them found a way of saying the dish was "played out," and their suggestions drew us farther and farther away from the vision. From the very start he took our suggestions and elevated them into a menu that dreams are made of. As the event got closer every single vendor gave us a reason to worry that it wouldn't come together in time, but not Jeff. He has such a calm demeanor and not once did we feel he had lost site of the vision we had created together. Last Saturday was THE DAY and, as expected, Jeff arrived at the exact time he said he would . He brought everything he needed, and he even provided the catering staff, who were all as equally calm and put together as their Chef. They were all professional, with warm smiles. You don't get stuffy uptight service with his team. It's obvious that his catering staff respects him and has been with him for a while, as they all work in tandem with one another in perfect harmony. Chef Jeff was great to work with and all of his suggestions fit the vision perfectly. Even with his responsibilities of manning the kitchen, ensuring his staff stayed on task, and of feeding 50 Guests, he still managed to keep the dinner on schedule, but never hesitated when someone asked for his assistance. As much as I would like to keep this gem all to myself, I would be doing a disservice to my peers if I don't share it with you all. Everyone raved about the food, from start to finish, and I have already shared his information with a handful of people from the dinner that are hoping to book him for their upcoming events, and we learned that several of the local attendees have hired his for their events in the past and continue to use his services regularly. For your next event, big or small, Chef Jeff of Jordan's Creative Catering is truly "the best" - but he doesn't need me to sell you on it - he's got that covered all on his own.

Chef Dean was very quick to respond to my initial request for a quote and we got on the phone to talk about the process and what I had envisioned. Over the next few days, we emailed about the menu, what my parents liked, and food allergies/preferences to create a beautiful, personalized menu that we collaborated together on. The day of, Chef Dean and his assistant, Liza, came and started cooking/prepping a couple hours before dinner service. They did EVERYTHING! We were in a small vacation rental and knew the kitchen may be lacking - they came table cloth and linens, silverware, dishes, serveware - everything to ensure we had a 5-star dining experience! The food itself was AMAZING! Stuffed mushrooms, crab cakes, surf and turf with filet mignon, lobster tails, seared scallops, sautéed asparagus, and potatoes o gratin. For dessert - a strawberry tiramisu. He even made my 3 year old mac and cheese! (Also, my 3 year old ate the stuffed mushrooms and crabcakes, and begged for more tiramisu for days after, which says A LOT about how good the food was!). Liza even held our 10 week old baby and fed him a bottle so all the adults could eat!!
