This is a dynamic creative opportunity for all creatives. Walk slowly and absorb the choices. Seasonal products roll on to sale prices and make your ideas more reachable. The buyers have a good eye to bring these choices to us.

How did I not know about this place! I'm super crafty - my friends say I am a nicer Martha Stewart and for the middle class! When I moved to Portland years ago from the east coast, the only craft stores I could find were the chains, Michaels and Joanne's. Which are nice. I shop at both, and they have all the standards stuff, but not the fun, unique, "WOW, I have to have this" kind of items. Craft Warehouse does! The minute I walked in, I had to pause, catch my breath, and take it all in. Slowly. I came looking for small blue birds to adorn my new white birch twig Christmas tree. Neither Michaels or Joanne's had them. Michaels had a large white bird for $7.99. Craft Warehouse had packages of 3 medium or 6 small for just $5.99. I put two packages of the medium in my cart and began making my rounds. The Christmas trees and branches, both the traditional faux fir and the new birch twig trees, were far superior in quality and had very fair prices. The stems were on sale for 40% off so I grabbed a few for my outdoor planters. The ribbon selection was small, but the design, style and quality of the ribbon was fabulous. They had a white birch wire ribbon that I have never seen anywhere and it is gorgeous. Coordinates beautifully with all the white birch trees and twigs. They also had a slate gray velvet ribbon that would go with any decor. The Christmas displays were arranged by colors making it so easy to visualize how you could accessorize or make vignettes for your own home. Also made it super easy to find the various items. There was an area decorated in golds and ambers; one in shades of blue; one in whites; and another in whimsical red and light blue. Since my new color scheme is shades of blue, with a white birch twig tree, I spent a lot of time in that area. In addition to the birds, I purchased a stunning set of small mercury glass ornaments that came in three shades of blue and teal, in three different shapes. Probably 3 dozen ornaments in the bag on sale for $19.99 from $26.99. Its not even Thanksgiving yet, but I came home and immediately set up the twig tree and decorated it with the blue clip on birds and mercury glass ornaments! Crazy, I know! But I recently downsized to a condo so decided to just bring the tree right into my living room rather than to my storage unit. Plus I was so excited to see how it would turn out. OMG, It looks stunning! Simple. Minimalist, Elegant. Definitely Pinterest and Instagram worthy! There was so much more to look at and I knew the more I looked, the more I would buy, so I decided this was enough for today. They are having an open house on Saturday, Nov 10th, with lots of special deals, give always and refreshments. On the last Tuesday of the month thy give 20% off your entire purchase between 6-8, which is a great deal, so I will plan my next visit accordingly. If you are seeking unique items, inspirational ideas, quality craft supplies, then plan a trip to Craft Warehouse. So worth it. Sign up for their email list and get 40% off one item.

New copper clasp attached to leather by hand wrapping 20 AWG Cu wire.

Craft Warehouse's bead and jewelry expert Tevi is amazing!! I'm not skilled, but needed a copper wire wrap clasp attached to a leather tether for a pendant. Tevi grabbed her bag of tools and created the perfect piece on the spot! I'm deeply appreciative of Craft Warehouse and Tevi helping me on short notice. I highly recommend them!

I could spend HOURS here. So dangerous. I find that I like to come here for ideas, but I dislike the markup on prices. Thus, I usually buy a few specialty items, but shop for some of the simpler stuff at Lowes, Michael's, or Target. I like that they have lots of examples of projects around; it's really helpful.

It's not open. The store has closed for some reason. Signs were all over doors and windows and doors were locked at 3pm on a Tuesday.

Well, due to some rent issues, they ended up in a shopping center off of NW Barnes. I happened upon it while killing time before a doctors appointment. It's still filled with charming items for your home and garden, most with an old world charm - think urns, topiaries, trailing ivy, fleur-de-lis, iron accents, rustic wood, arched frames and mirrors. Also lots of furniture from accent tables to display units, tables, chairs, desks and more. The owner is so friendly and helpful. If you are looking for ideas, seek him out! Items are unique and affordable in an array of price ranges. While this style as perfect for my previous home and garden, there aren't many items that work in my modern condo, but I purchased some gifts for friends. During the Christmas season, I bought giagantic snowflakes, candle holders and lit trees. If you used to visit this shop when they were on NW 23rd, take the quick ride out to NW Cedar Hills area and continue to support them in this new location. I fear they no longer get the foot traffic; this shop is so special, we need to keep them in business!

It was a great shop to grab a gift for my mom as she seems to love everything here. I would drop in with her after lunching at Papa Hayden's.... So come look around. The staff are always friendly. You know I will be back. It just makes gift buying to easy!

I love just wandering around a home store even just to get some inspiration. Anything from new cleaning stuff to an arrangement of things in my living room or how to place decorations in my garden. I also like to giggle about the trends happening. Some are smart while others are odd and can be downright tacky. I expected another Homegoods type of store and did not realize that this store is mostly a trending furniture store catered to that group that is definitely not rich but far from poor. Unlike places like Pottery Barn, that have offerings for us mere mortals with less in our bank accounts to spend on furnishings that are into the thousands, they don't have a lot of accessories here. Even a small pottery piece was $68. Looking at a lot of the items and I felt like this is where people with a bit of money go to order a room so they look like they have some style. That's not meant as an insult as their room displays really are put together nicely. Most people can't really readily afford a designer and honestly the rooms are pretty cool looking with a nice mix of traditional and some modern flair. I could easily see a person walking in and saying that they want an exact room layout and changing one of the art pieces to suit them better. Pieces are thoughtfully displayed and by the look of it it is not really a cookie cutter type of furnishing place. So, you wouldn't have a friend come over to your house, look around and go 'oh didn't I see that somewhere??'.... I was cracking up at the liberal décor using horses... which would be going into homes of people who have probably never even been on a farm, like ever... and then the pillow that said 'Real Housewives of Beaverton'... yikes.... some real WTF winners see my photos for the evidence!) during my walkthrough were the Pollack style monkey lamp for over $900... seriously, I am in the wrong line of work and need to get into making insane looking lamps!!! If you want a labradoodle that doesn't actually walk around as your dog that you can sit on then they have the chair for you. There's also giant brass mushrooms, just one half of a horse lamp or perhaps a pillow for $163 that doesn't even vibrate... they did have some pretty incredible artwork for really reasonable prices and a truly gorgeous green velvet couch.
