Can finally close the book on this place: descent place to hang out for a beer, but don't expect too much.
Sneaky "Happy Hour" sign. It said: "SEASONAL, CRAFT, CIDER $48". But that actually meant that only 3 specific drinks were happy hour price: 1) a specific Seasonal beer, 2) a house-brand "Craft" beer, 3) a cider. And of those 3, the seasonal was sold out, the house-brew tasted so bad neither of us could take a 2nd sip, and the last option was a cider.
Still wanting to sample their burgers and bar food, I ordered take away one evening. They don't have a plain cheeseburger on the menu, so picked the "House bacon and cheese burger" and a small order of the "Dirty duck fat fries". Not sure why I was expecting much given the "kitchen" is practically non-existent little area behind the bar, but both were none too impressive. The fries themselves were ok I suppose, but they're just frozen and then fried.
If looking to grab a quick (craft) beer, this place is fine, but not much else. The menu and Craft Brew image gives hope to more but don't set your expectations too high. read more
