f you are considering sending your children to Primrose School of Round Rock North - stop reading…read morethis now and run over there.....GO!!!! This place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! When our family first came here we were hesitant because of a previous daycare experience - little did we know this is not your typical daycare, this is school!! I'm not big on reviews but I love this place so let me paint you a picture. This is by far not my first rodeo with childcare, with 6 kids ranging from 2-17. I can say unequivocally this is the BEST childcare facility ANY of my children have attended! All childcare facilities have a little bit of turnover but for the most part my childen remained with the same teachers in their respective classrooms until they moved onto the next. Need more painting? Well, their infant room is outstanding! When we started one of our boys in their infant room we were so impressed with the care and attention he received. Everything was clean, they allowed him playtime but also with a hint of learning and development even at that young age. When he moved up to the next classroom, boy was that fun. Again, they cared about him (and babied him quite a bit but its okay lol). Onto my other son, when he started at age 2, they taught him potty training and just told us what to do (yes, parents of 6 kids sometimes even need pointers too...thanks Mrs. Kayla!). She LOVEDDD our son soooo much, that when he matriculated to the next class she even would go visit him just to say hi. His next teachers, Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Candace were spectacular! I watched him turn into a little Einstein, sometimes looking at him like "wait you knew that?". I don't want to leave any teachers out because they are all amazing. His 4 year old class before leaving, oh man, they are the real MVPs. Our kids are not always the little angels we think they are, but they still loved on him and redirected him with care! Times where our kids were sick, they checked on them. Oh, they also have COOKIE FRIDAY where they sugar up our babies and send them home to us as we pull our hair out lol, but seriously its such a nice gesture and something the kids looked forward to! Remember our kids are at daycare more hours in a day than they are at home with us - if you want peace of mind, get here ASAP! We only left due to moving - I would've left my kids here til middle school if it was an option (yes, we love them that much). Mrs. Kim, Mrs. Jackie, Mrs. Kayla, and Mrs. Alyssia - the admin staff are absolute gems! If you made it this far in my lengthy review, you probably lost a spot for your kiddo by now. I told you to run :)

She had amazing teachers who were loving, dedicated, and communicative with us so we could be on the same page and practice similar learning topics at home. She is right on the cusp birthday wise so we could hold her back if we felt she wasn't read but her teachers were amazing. She started not knowing much at all and by the end of the year she was completely ready for kinder and is thriving at her elementary school. Our son is now in prek3 and it has been so wonderful for him. They have small class sizes and the teacher to student ratio is the best I've ever seen. It's a safe, clean, and extremely loving environment! We're excited for him to go back next year too! The office staff at the church as well as the directors in the HCC office go above and beyond for the students and families at Hope. We commute from 30 minutes away because they are worth it!

While the facilities may not be the newest as some of the centers in the area, the quality of care and learning environment is top-notch. I have never had to worry about the level of care, and support has always been readily available, and transparency is key. I love that the facility uses the ProCare App so I get pictures and videos throughout the day and updates on feedings and diaper changes. I also like how the school used a curriculum so I know my kids are getting a great education while attending. 10/10 recommend!

Our eldest daughter went to a chain day care that was great until the director left. That's much less likely with a family owned operation. If you want a reasonably priced, high quality, day care, stop in and talk to Vince or Krissy (sp?).

This review is not written lightly. We recently left Primrose after losing trust in the school's…read moreadministration and the stability of our daughter's classroom environment. From August through May, our daughter had eight different teachers in her classroom. That level of turnover made it very difficult for the classroom to have the consistency, structure, and experienced instruction we expected. At this age, children need a reliable presence to build emotional safety, trust, and developmental confidence. Instead, the classroom often felt unstable, and we saw noticeable changes in behavior during periods of teacher turnover and classroom stress. To be clear, this is not a criticism of every teacher. We are grateful for Ms. Jordan, Ms. Spivey, and Ms. McNulty, who cared for our daughter and did their best in a difficult environment. The issue, in our view, was administrative: hiring, training, supporting, and retaining teachers, as well as listening to parent concerns. We raised concerns earlier in the year and requested a classroom change, but we did not feel heard. When changes were eventually made, teachers were moved again, despite our desire for consistency. Over time, the repeated disruptions broke our confidence in the school. Several families ultimately chose to leave, which speaks to how serious the concerns became. We were disappointed there was no inquiry, exit conversation, or request for feedback after our departure. Without stronger administrative accountability, I worry other families may experience the same challenges.

We toured several daycares in the area, but the moment I met and spoke with Marisol I knew we had found our spot! My son gets to do all kinds of fun activities (and I get to see photos through the app throughout the day!) and I can tell he really loves it there - he's always quick to grab his backpack in the mornings and head out to see Bubbles! Honestly, you hear so many horror stories about daycares and wondering who your kiddo(s) are hanging out with all day and what they're doing (especially as a first time Mama!) - but everyone I've spoken with at TLE has been nothing but patient and kind with all of my questions and worries and I am 1000% confident my son is in the right hands.

We initially inquired about this daycare because of its strong reviews and because they participate…read morein TEFA, which gave us the impression that they support inclusivity for children with disabilities and different learning needs. During our first tour, I shared with the owner how excited I was about the possibility of enrolling my son because the facility appeared clean, organized, and well-run. She proudly showed us their awards, but the conversation later shifted to discussing another parent's issues with their child biting staff members. Personally, I felt uncomfortable hearing details about another family's situation, especially without hearing both sides. Later, I explained that my son has a disability and that we were approved for TEFA funding. I shared that he is speech delayed and somewhat behind academically. I also explained that he previously attended a private Catholic school that requested a one-on-one aide, although his IEP team did not recommend one. We are transferring him because we cannot afford the cost of a one-on-one aide on top of tuition. I also clarified that while he has a medical condition, he has not been diagnosed with autism or ADHD, and evaluations from neurology, ABA, and neuropsychology specialists did not indicate autism. I explained that the academic expectations at his previous school were simply not the right fit for him, and that we believed a more play-based environment would better support his development and learning style. However, during this discussion, the owner repeatedly emphasized how advanced their standards were and mentioned that many of their 4-year-olds already know how to read. Unfortunately, the tone of the conversation made me feel less reassured about how welcoming or supportive the environment would be for children with developmental differences or disabilities. What stood out even more to me was the reaction when I mentioned that we had received TEFA funding that would cover the full school year. The owner immediately asked how much funding we received. After I told her the amount, her eyes widened, and she became noticeably quiet while pulling out a calculator and computing the yearly total. That interaction made me uncomfortable and gave the impression that the financial aspect became more important than understanding my child's actual needs. Because of these concerns, I began having second thoughts about enrolling my son and asked for the payment to be placed on hold while my husband scheduled a second tour. Within two days, we were informed that the slot for the next school year had already been filled. What was frustrating was that instead of directly informing us that no spots were available, we were still asked to work around their schedule for another tour. I was also told that I had "cancelled," when I had clearly requested that enrollment simply be put on hold while we made a final decision as a family. Afterward, I also came across other reviews from parents who felt their children with disabilities were treated differently. Reading those experiences made our interaction feel even more concerning. It also made me question how genuine some of the positive reviews are, because our experience was very different from what was portrayed online. I cannot say whether reviews are incentivized, but it did leave me wondering if discounts, perks, or other incentives may influence some of the overwhelmingly positive feedback. I truly hope this daycare reflects on what inclusivity really means. Participating in programs like TEFA should involve genuinely welcoming and supporting children with different needs, not just meeting requirements on paper.

The preschool is locally owned and not a chain, which makes me more comfortable with the way things are run. The owner is also the director. I searched for weeks for a suitable preschool for my son and knew almost the moment that I walked in to Upstream that it was the place for us. I have worked in childcare in the past and knew what I wanted for my son, Upstream learning provides that every day. The teachers and director genuinely care about each child and put me at ease right away about leaving my child in their care. I never worry about the experience he is having there, he is always happy and has learned so much during the year and half that he has been there. Everyone is impressed by how well spoken and how smart he is. He is counting to 20 and knows his letters, shapes, colors and more. He speaks in full, clear sentences and gets along great with other kids all at the age of just a few months over 2 years. I am impressed with every aspect of the classroom and the lesson plans the teachers pull together with the director. No matter what time of day I am there I never see anyone with a cell phone or hear anything that even resembles yelling or any such thing, reports that I hear from friends that have their kids in other preschools in the area. I highly recommend Upstream Learning to any parent who is concerned with high turn-over, distracted teachers or is putting their child in the care of someone else for the first time. There is no better place for kids than Upstream.

We…read morewere extremely excited to have our infant son go to preschool here, but Monday I showed up to pick him up and his teachers weren't wearing masks. They had removed them during the day without notice, as they were no longer technically required. I pleaded directly with his teachers to see if they were open to wearing them voluntarily, then with the director Jeneffer. My husband and I decided to withdraw our son. Even if they agreed at that point they had broken our trust; there was no way of knowing if staff would wear their masks when we weren't there. My husband spoke with the owner Emily on the phone, who during a heated conversation had a few odd things to say about the pandemic (including saying that staff weren't wearing masks during our tour in January, so we can't expect them now. Like, what?). We paid half tuition in July to save our son's spot under Emily's assurance that they would take every precaution when he started school in August. One month in, I feel duped and I'm suddenly without childcare. This is an excellent school, but I can't recommend them during the pandemic.
