"Cornbread muffins" burnt to a crisp with no offers to replace

wow has gone downhill. twice had to send our sides back because cold. froed chicken was reheated so much it was a hardened shell. just terrible. went to pay and they ask"how was your meal?" we said terrible. she said "are you a rewards member ?" that's it. no "let me get my manager". no apology. do better.

Service was sub-par; food was ok - biggest issue was we ordered a side of French toast. For $3.99 you would think you might get a regular size piece of bread. Not the case. I expressed dissatisfaction and the waitress did absolutely nothing. Certainly not a positive experience and in my opinion did not represent the Cracker Barrel brand at all. We drove for 8 hours today and all we wanted was a nice meal with comfort food. Guess we might need to try again tomorrow.

It took me a few days to sit down and wrap my mind around the worst customer service experience at Cracker Barrel in Texarkana, Texas; my hometown I might add. I am truly disturbed by the fact my Sister, EX Mother -in-Law and myself had to wait over two hours for breakfast that we had ordered at 11:15 AM and still at 01:15 PM did not have the breakfast that we ordered. I totally cannot blame our waiter Travon Stuart, I cannot blame Karen Bruno who tried to rectify the situation, but the fact that we only ordered pancakes eggs, bacon, fried apples and hash brown casserole and to have to wait almost 2 hours to receive three Grandma Specials that required nothing additional other than pecans in the pancakes. The n for me to get up and find Taylor ( waitress from Jersey or New York) to get it the managers Jaci Van Zant whom showed no empathy not even enough concern to try and help rectify the situation and we had to go to another manager or assistant Karen Bruno to at least get some food in my stomach after already have taken my medicine and my EX Mother -in -Law had already missed church waiting on a Grandma Special. I didn't get to eat anything. I don't understand this is completely not acceptable and Cracker Barrel in Texarkana Texas You have got to do better. Even after Karen Bruno remade the food it was still incorrect but instead of throwing it away we took it with back to Dallas Texas and gave it to some homeless people. Just because it was wrong for us it was a Blessing to someone else. This was the worst experience ever. This incident occurred February 19, 2023.

Eggs, country ham and hash brown casserole.

Classic breakfast fare. Great place to stop and refresh when traveling. The kids always enjoy a game of checkers while waiting too.

We discovered them about 8 months ago while traveling through, needing some less processed options than typical eatout food, and tried it. Sooo glad we did! So now that we're in the area again we knew this is where we wanted to go. We even ordered extra meals to take with us for tomorrow! Ignore the lower star reviews bc they have nothing to do with quality (and no, the food is not bland)! If you want fancy highly processed and over seasoned gut burning food, don't go here - go to an impersonal restaurant serving commercial processed foods. Mother Kelley's is true homestyle flavors, meaning it's not fancy but it's home cooked comfort food (real ingredients) like my grandmother's was (mid 20th century); you'll love it!

A Must-Try Spot for Brunch Lovers!…read more This place quickly became one of my favorite spots for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming--perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a solo meal with great vibes. The food? Fantastic. The menu is creative, fresh, and full of unique flavors that set it apart from your typical brunch fare. There are tons of thoughtful gluten-free options that actually taste amazing--not just the bare minimum. From inventive egg dishes to seasonal veggie sides, every bite felt intentional and flavorful. The service was equally impressive--friendly, knowledgeable, and super accommodating. Our server made great suggestions and made sure everything was just right, including pointing out which dishes could be made gluten-free. Bottom line: If you're looking for a fun, flavorful, and welcoming place for brunch or lunch, this one is worth every visit. I'll definitely be coming back!

It's filled with turkey, and the strawberries add a very nice sweetness to the sandwich. The soup is hearty. The sandwich itself though is very very small. - Meemaw's Grits 4.2/5 Very hearty, big juicy pieces of shrimp. Very flavorful with the bacon. - Tuscan Toast 5/5 Such a wonderful balance from the pesto, burrata, and tomato. It's very much worth the money, and is bright in flavor. The staff were more than friendly and knew their craft beers! We tried some new flavors and were made undeniable fans. I ordered a plate of Duck Fat Fries. This is a total game changer! Even more so, dipping them golden fried sticks in Truffle Mayo... as Buford T. Justice would say... SUMBITCH. And that homemade ketchup? So good it made me want to go smack Junior's mama. We also ordered the Crawfish Dip. It was disgustingly scrumpdidallyumtious!!! Pure flavor profile explosion in my mouth. Never had anything like that before. My wife and I also decided to split a Smash Burger and that thick cut bacon with juicy beef patties... damn. One of the most memorable and satisfying experiences I've ever had, and I haven't even talked about the drinks. My eyes sparkled when I seen a Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned on the menu. A must try. ER MA GAWD!!! One of the best I've ever had... everrrrrr! We also ordered the Cinn-Full Cran Hard Cider by Locust... I now have to find this... just have to! My FIL ordered an ice cream treat with three spoons... lol. Everyone had to give it a try. We ended up ordering a growler of the State Street Blonde to go, and it lasted a day. Unbelievable. I'm heartbroken the place is closed, but will forever leave an impression of Texarkana for me. Thank you! As always, Enjoy & Happy Road-tripping!!

While passing through on a road trip, my local friend recommended Pecan Point and I'm glad I went. Located in downtown, you'll find free street parking in front of the restaurant. We were greeted as soon as we entered and the inside is spacious and casual. I ordered the raspberry Chipotle smash burger ($16), peach cobbler, and a flight of beer and cider ($10). What made this burger stand out was the raspberry Chipotle sauce and fried jalapeños! The flight includes four 4oz pours of any draught and mine were Irish red ale, Pecan Pointe ale, bock beer, and apple cider. The Irish red was my favorite and the Pecan Pointe my least. I would have liked the cobbler to be a little more crunchy, but was still enjoyable. I recommend and will visit again when in town.

Portions are huge, the staff greet you the moment you walk in, and after a few visits, I swear they'll have to roll me out the door (and I'll be smiling the whole way). The fried pickles and cheese curds? Absolutely incredible--perfectly crispy on the outside and addictive. The pancakes are massive yet light and fluffy, the bacon is perfectly crispy, and my coffee cup never runs dry. Honestly, with all this good food, they were seducing me into doing a happy dance right there at the table. Now, back to the star of the show: that chicken fried steak. It's huge, the meat is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the coating is seasoned perfectly--crispy enough that even my leftovers stayed crunchy after days in the fridge and a spin in the microwave. Pure comfort food bliss. And let's not forget the biscuits and gravy--heavenly! I got my gravy on the side so I could dip both my biscuit and my chicken fried steak. Best decision ever. Texas Chuck Wagon is comfort food done right, with service that makes you feel like family. I'll be back... again and again (and again).
