Checked in for a busy Sunday early lunch. The church rush wasn't that bad. The host outside mentioned it was to be a 15 minute wait for our party of 4. We were seated less than 5 minutes!! We ordered the chicken n dumplings, French toast, pancakes, and the basic country sides. It would help if they would tone the sodium down on the chicken and dumplings. Your BP will need readjusting in the summer heat. The menu is basic, nothing extra special. CB has added adult beverages!!! Breakfast menu all day, and M-F Specials. On the way to camp. I like Cracker Barrel but I feel like their updates are frustrating and they keep raising prices and taking things off the menu that are popular. However, they do have an app with rewards finally so that is nice since they don't offer any other discounts. Overall though their food is usually very good. We love the comfort food like their pancakes (with cute mini bottles of syrup), roasted chicken, pot pies and Shepard pies, meatloaf and dumplings. I also like that they have coffee drinks now and skillet meals and the complimentary biscuits/cornbread and jam are delicious. I do wish they would add a better variety to the kids menu like meatloaf, soup, chicken and dumplings, etc instead of the boring chicken strips and burgers. The atmosphere is fun too with the huge gift shop and old country store decor inside and outside. The rocking chairs and checkboard games are my favorite things! I know that is rumored to be changing and I hope they rethink that. The main problem here besides the higher prices is the service. It is so unpredictable and usually is very slow (food and waitstaff). Almost every server we have had at this location seems rushed and stressed and we have to wave them down for refills or sauce, etc. I have never once seen a manager helping out the servers with bussing, refills, or even checking on tables, which is very disappointing. I got my food to go. The service was good. The food itself was very disappointing. My mashed potatoes contained numerous black pieces which looked like fungus. Yuck!! We'd driven through Fayetteville, which looks like a very lovely town (city) but it was VERY FULL of people walking around the main downtown area. It was gorgeous weather and there's the university crowd, locals and lots and lots of visitors (we could cleary see why as the area is really nice, relaxed, easy to get around). My driving partner (aka husband) was starting to move from the ravenous phase to downright hangry so it was time to make a move. We agreed we needed to get out of the downtown area and head toward Bentonville (our next destination) and we'd find somewhere to eat on the way. Before we knew it we saw this Cracker Barrel and stopped here for lunch on Saturday April 15 (yeah, tax day) 2023 on our way to Crystal Bridges museum. I must say I went in with a dubious attitude as I'd read that restaurants including (mentioned by name) Cracker Barrel was having trouble hiring staff, keeping up with service and cleanliness. Well that sure wasn't true for this location -- it was top knotch clean (including bathrooms) in the store, the grounds & parking area) and in the restaurant dining area. We were pretty quickly seated and then a waitperson came over. She took our drinks order and we mulled over the menu. I can't even remember what the husband ordered but if you take the time to read some of the reviews I've written you'll probably make a couple on target guesstimates. I remember what I had as I was blown away with the goodness. I ordered the vegetable plate. Yeah it sounds safe and boring, well it was anything but. The veggies (mustard greens, bean, carrots and squash??) were excellent choices. There were rolls on the side that were good too -- we each ate one. Water and soda for the husband and an Arnold Palmer (you already know that is my summer 2023 drink) for me + 2 glasses of water. This has totally turned the tide of my thinking about just where Cracker Barrel (at the least and best this location is proof) is on the consistency, cleanliness, satisfaction and comfort radar. Go there, I urge you to try the veggie platter ... don't be boring and order corn. read more

We stopped at Cracker Barrel for lunch. I had Catfish my choice of sides was a salad and broccoli with a diet coke. My husband had the Steak and Eggs with a side of apples and hot tea. The bill was $50 dollars, not including the tip. Prices to high for a mediocre meal. We will not return or recommend it to any of our friends. read more

Can't make soft eggs and nickel and dime you for everything. Unfortunately, no longer recommend. My whole family has frequented Cracker Barrel every few weeks, if not almost every weekend, for more years than I can remember. After COVID hit we noticed a change in their food, their quality, and their prices. I understand things change and prices have gone up, but this last trip was just excessive. I ordered a breakfast platter that does not normally come with ham. I requested ham and the waitress said that was no problem it would just be an extra fee. I'm used to that and totally understand that, no worries. When we got our bill my plate literally went from $11 to $19. $19, a $8 difference for ham. Come to find out the waitress put my meal in individually, every item, instead of bundling it as meal and substituting ham. Ham itself as a side doesn't even cost $8, I would have gotten a cheaper meal by adding the ham rather than substituting. Want hash browns instead of hash brown casserole because you're allergic to onions? That's now a dollar fee. Why? It has less ingredients, doesn't make sense to me. Also 100% of the time the cooks over cook my eggs. I have NOT had a decent plate of eggs from Cracker Barrel. CB used to be substituting friendly and you could practically make your own meal, the customization has totally disappeared otherwise you're paying out your rear end. Our family now eats breakfast at Susan's restaurant down the road. We miss Cracker Barrel but they're just not the same! Do not recommend. read more

This Cracker Barrel happened to be located right next to the store I was working at this week. The Host, Tony, remembered my name by my second visit and what I wanted to order (hash brown casserole and a biscuit to-go). I loved him (Tony), he is one in a million - Cracker Barrel is lucky to have this gentleman. The staff inside the store were all so incredibly kind too. I ate there for lunch one day and the server, Venus was very sweet and attentive. I wasn't starving, so I ordered the pinto beans and corn and French toast latte. Everything was perfect! I highly recommend the latte, it's so good! I could have a Cracker Barrel biscuit with blackberry jam for breakfast every morning, it's so good. read more

Let's start with service. We arrived about 7:20 am, while we were waiting for the servers to decide who was supposed to have our table (they were standing right behind us discussing this) 2 other tables were seated served drinks and orders were being taken. Finally someone claimed us and we ordered our meal and drinks immediately afraid if we didn't they might not come back. Now food, scrambled eggs were seriously dry; and if my French toast was dipped in egg batter as menu states it was a spray on film. I mostly had sour dough toast grilled to death. Was really disappointed today we have been here several times and it has never been this bad. Cracker Barrel has definitely gone down hill; they once served true thick cut bacon not it must be cheapest thinnest you can buy. As usual the fire was great and the store very inviting. read more

It's a place for comfort and the food is what's expected. Nothing amazing but will always be a place to go again and again. I prefer more local breakfast places but again this is a "know what to expect" place and that is comfort when needed. This visit was with my mom and she enjoyed the food as well. Best place to eat there is. We have eaten at about 36 Cracker Barrel's and nothing is as good. The waitresses are normally super friendly and very helpful. This is a terrific Cracker Barrel. Not so much because of the food (which is consistently good), but because the staff are terrific. We had the friendliest nicest staff member wait on us. She was pleasant, friendly and you could literally see her smile through her eyes (masks were still in place for staff when we stopped in). Rough day for the Cracker Barrel. We came in for breakfast and were sat quickly. We then waited for nearly 15 minutes before we asked for a server. The server that came did a fine job. The kitchen however must have been on the struggle bus because the meals all had something wrong with them. The egg sandwich had mayo even though no mayo was requested. I don't have to wait until Christmas like the other location last week told me on 11/19/2021 that there was a Hashbrown shortage and that I would have to wait until Thanksgiving day for my Hashbrown Casserole. Arrived when they opened this morning to have some breakfast on our way to Tulsa. Friendly staff greeted us at the door and we were quickly seated. Our server was amazing and promptly took our order with a smile and we soon had our food. Everything was hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked and we soon had full bellies of delicious southern breakfast and the best hot coffee in the world. This used to be a favorite place of ours to eat. Ordered through Uber Eats tonight and I won't be ordering from here again. They left out 3 different sides and the chicken fried chicken tastes old. I couldn't even eat it. I had specifically called when I placed my order to have them include blackberry jam and apple butter because there was no option for that. She said she would make sure they were in there but only the husbands apple butter was. I called to let them know about the mistakes and the gentleman said he would transfer me to the Togo orders and no one answered. Poor customer service as well read more

As usual the ole timers breakfast were cooked to perfection. Biscuits were to die for . Staff and management were all over the dinning making sure all was good . Big concern we had was they were letting a full facial beard waiter wait on tables . The one thing in food service that will never go well is food/ Hair , it's a bad combination as this unit seems to understand that,as their cooks all had facial hair mask on , yet a full beard waiter out serving. Looks bad and would not let him wait on us due to so much hair on face . C'mon Cracker Barrel that's not an option in food service and should never , ever be considered . Really? A review of the Cracker Barrel? Sure, why not. Sometimes you have to review just to say that it was what it was supposed to be, which this visit certainly was. Stopping in with Mrs. K. for dinner, we were promptly seated and our orders were taken by a polite "rising star" waiter. He brought the drinks a few moments later. The food was exactly as ordered, though I found the pot roast to be a little too peppery. Otherwise, it was hot, tasty and delicious. No complaints. The French toast (Mrs. K. loves their French toast) was fresh and cooked perfectly. Our experience was perfect for a Cracker Barrel. The usual store and restaurant layout with rocking chairs outside. They just installed PIN readers, for those who prefer to use a debit card rather than a credit card. I assume this means you can get cash back, but I didn't ask. read more
