Empty restaurant. Rude staff. New decor. Not homey. Looks like a Dennys. It's bright in here. Had to get my shades. lol

Welcome to Dennys! No??? Feels like Dennys :( New decor. Not homey. Very bright. Unwelcoming. Which is why I had to update my review. Came here because Emma's (across the street) was closed. Arrived at 8:40. Waited. Waited. Waited. Asked cashier if we could get seated. So we were. With attitude. They close at 10:00. It was 8:45. Mind you ...... the entire place was EMPTY. Check my photos. They were out of everything. Rude staff. I HAVE to remember this before I turn left into their parking lot again. GO RIGHT to Emma's!! lol. We have to eat between Nashville & Chattanooga. But this is the last time. I promise I will not come here ever again.

Mac n cheese and . Chicken sandwich were. good. Biscuit, gravy had no taste, coffee tasted like water. Slow with delivery

We were to arrive in 2 separate cars. Men in one, ladies in the other. We ladies took the scenic route and expected the men to be there holding a table. They weren't so we got the table (10am) and ordered our coffee and waited. And waited. And waited. About 10 minutes later the boys texted saying they decided to go elsewhere. This set the tone for our visit being that we would not have picked Cracker Barrel left to our own devices. Curb appeal: basic Ambiance: classic barrel. Nothing special Food delivery: we ordered at 10:18 and received it at 10:56- long wait for the food. Nearly 40 minutes for eggs, bacon, and gravy. Must be the tots fault. I got the loaded tots. They were crispy on the outside but smushy on the inside. All in all I wasn't impressed.

    Cheers to Summer

Love this place. Good down home cooking. Service is fast and friendly. The food is hot and yummy. The decor is fun with lots of signs with fun sayings and antiques.

Cracker Barrel is a place that's popular all around. You're always greeted with a smile and on a busy night weaving through the crowd to reach the hostess stand. You can find a Cracker Barrel at just about anywhere close to an interstate in the south. It's prob a favorite of mine because of the different options they provide from breakfast to dinner. There is so much to choose from, you just hope that whatever you choose is going to be good that day. Tonight's meal was rather pleasing and seasoned well all around. The atmosphere is always pleasant. There is nothing like sitting near the fireplace on a cold winter evening and feeling every bit of warmth from the flames and hearing every crackle and pop from the burning wood. I recommend this Cracker Barrel (not all are good) to all those passing through on I-24 you can't go wrong.

I stop everytime I head down south from Nashville, usually working in the side room for half the day so I can avoid rush hour in Nashville. From a beer standpoint, this is one of the top breweries in Tennessee. They are well known nationally, as well. The building is a warehouse looking structure on the outside, but they have nicely decorated the tap room. Ample seating both inside and out and they have bands on some weekends. I have tried the flatbreads, a couple of sandwiches, and the Dinosaur wings (only kidding, but they are the largest chicken wings they can buy, so ample sized). I prefer the wings most of the time - except their rendition of Nashville Hot - but this time opted for a meatball sandwich. If you are trying to be an Italian food afficianado, this might not be in, but the sauce works well with these meatballs and there is ample cheese. As one normally focusing on Keto, adding a fork meant I could eat the kibbles and bits and leave the bun. Two thumbs up. As for the beer, they have some of the best IPAs and I finally tried the porter this go around. Many of their beers are rated above 4.0 on untappd and it is not just a local bump kind of thing. The brewery, as a whole, is 3.92 and also well deserved. To my normal "Will I be back" question, I think the answer is already clear. I do return almost every time I pass by.

They only have 4 beers from Common John Brewery, but we knew they didn't have the full liquor license yet. We both like Common John, so we were fine with this. Coke products, tea & water were the other choices. I'm always fine with just water with my meal. My husband ordered a couple of beers...he liked both. We started with the caramelized onion dip as an appetizer. It was delicious! We ate it all! My husband ordered the pork chop & mashed potatoes & street corn as his sides. He loved everything! I tasted his pork chop & street corn and I think his pork chop was the best I've ever had! Street corn was so good...I'll order next time! I ordered the NY steak (medium rare), it was cooked perfectly. My sides were mashed potatoes & roasted brussel sprouts. Loved it all, but next time I'll order the street corn & brussel sprouts!! Yum!! We will definitely be going back!! Several items I still want to try! So happy to have Binninger-Schwartz in Manchester!! Highly recommend!

There were a dozen or so tables when we arrived. The hostess sat us in a booth and we were greeted by our server. She was very nice, and took our drink order, and we placed an order for the Crispy Pickle Chips appetizer. She brought our drinks and a short time later our appetizer. The four of us placed our orders: Caesar Salad w/ Grilled Chicken and side of Rice Pilaf, Atlantic Salmon, Classic Cheeseburger, and the "NEW!" Country Fried Steak. The pickle Chips arrived first. They were crispy. Hard and dry with a thick, off-tasting crust which over powered the pickle. They tasted like they were right out of a freezer bag. They came with a ranch-style dipping sauce which couldn't save them from the awful, thick hard crust. Next came our entrees. The Classic Cheeseburger was good, not great, but the best this were were served that evening. It came with French fries which were also good. Next was the Caesar Salad w/ Grilled Chicken and side of Rice Pilaf. The salad was okay but nothing special. A but under dressed as the chicken absorbed a lot of the standard caesar dressing. The rice pilaf barely resembling pilaf. It was missing the basic vegetables which make a pilaf correct and flavorful. the Atlantic Salmon. looked nice but fell short as soon as it was cut into. It was seared on the outside, warm in the center and cooked, but mushy. Seems like it was frozen, microwaved, and then seared on the outside. It was edible not not worth the $20.99 price. Finally cam ethe "NEW!" Country Fried Steak. OMG! It was horrific. When our server stopped by and asked :is everything terrific" I had to speak up. I told her "not exactly". The Cheesy Grits side I ordered were cold and the cheese was absent. She said "I can fix that" and took them away bringing back the dish she took, I could tell as the pepper I sprinkled on top was there, and the dish was hot while the grips lukewarm. They were runny and blank and again . . . no cheese. The grits however paled in comparison to the country fried steak. The heavily breaded perfectly round patty was clearly a frozen ground meat formed patty pulled from the freezer. Fried and covered with a thick, pasty, peppery white gravy made from a mix. I don't mind paying the high prices from this economy, but this meal was an embarrassment. The service was good and the server clearly ashamed of what she was forced to serve, I was shocked that after voicing our disappointment that the manager never even came to our table to apologize, or even try to defend their food. He/She needs to be fired, and at a minimum order, eat, and pay for the meal we had just been served. I invite the CEO, District Manager, and store manager to sit down at one of their restaurants for a meal with me, at my expense. I dare them to eat the meal we paid for and stand behind it as quality food at a fair price. They should be ashamed of themselves.
