Came in on Mother's Day. Call to check in, and lady said she did, which she DIDNT! So had to wait extra minutes because I was told one thing. Food has tremendously went down, chicken sausage was disgusting, eggs was extremely plain, the hash brown casserole, which was my favorite part, was crunchy!!!! Called in for a inquiry on a gift card that has Cracker Barrel on it it's not a Cracker Barrel card, but I was looking to get some answers and some information so I could use it in the restaurant. I was then put on hold to wait for somebody that could help me with my question when that person answered the phone they were very condescending in the way they were talking to me. And then ended up just telling me that they couldn't help me and rushed me off the phone like I wasn't a customer as well. Very poor service very rude. read more

I see why the reviews are so low. You cant just be giving out old food because people order it to go. The food appears to be normal but when you taste it, you can tell its not fresh. In particular, this hashbrown casserole is awful. I just picked it up from the restaurant 20 minutes ago. I've ordered a family size hash brown casserole and its fresh and creamy. This one is dry. #1 My husband got food poisoning twice! Once at this location and once out of state. He has went to other Cracker Barrels out of state because he travels. They were all very subpar. Google's ratings are better but it is not correct. Read all of the ONE Stars on Google to get a bigger picture of what's going on as far as service and food. It literally reminds me of glorified hospital food. The only positive thing to this place is there store. So, if you want to go shopping, then go to Cracker Barrel. Overall Cracker Barrel can be a hit or miss. I've ordered the chicken fried chicken on two separate occasions and the first time I had it I absolutely loved it. The chicken was fresh, crispy, tasted homemade, and the mashed potatoes with gravy was also really good. I can pass on the mac and cheese as it's a little to watery for my liking. When I ordered the chicken fried chicken on a second occasion it was a total opposite experience. The chicken was rubbery, the crust was tough, the mashed potatoes were so hard and dry and the gravy had the most strange taste. I've also ordered breakfast here and the only thing that was decent was the bacon, sausage and hash brown casserole. While the pancakes may look good they were chewy rather than fluffy. While I don't think the food here is awful it's just mediocre but I believe some people might really enjoy the food here. We were excited to order 4 meals and 1 of their add-on lunch meals for pickup because we've always had great luck when stopping at CBs while on vacation. Busy time of the year, so the longer wait than order estimate was totally understandable. Once home, I had the chicken fried steak, which looked and tasted like the pre-made ones we received in middle school. The side of broccoli rice casserole I paid extra for, I did not receive. My son ordered the New York Strip. He asked me to smell it, and it was rancid. It literally smelled like a cat's used litter box. He threw his entire meal away. We did not receive the small $5 meal at all. My husband called the restaurant. He was on speaker phone, so I could hear the disdain in the voice of the woman he was speaking with. He explained we did not receive our entire order that we had paid for, and that the steak was bad. She barked back that she ate the steak for lunch, and it was fine. Maybe they cooked a fresh one for her, but the one we received would have had Gordon Ramsey shutting down the place. Although she was rude, she did say that she would refund my card for items that we did not receive and for the steak. That never happened. It has been almost 4 weeks. Lesson learned. I should have read the reviews for this particular location before ordering. And to the questionable person handling their calls, please learn better customer service and promise fulfillment. read more

Good food and good service. Im really surprised at how long I had avoided this place in my younger years. But in my defense that's because I was getting home cooked meals at the time. This is a good substitute when you're no longer having mom or grandma cooking for you lol. I've only been here for breakfast and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time. They get you in and out with their fast service. I also like looking around their store and reminiscing over the items I grew around. Eggs, bacon, & hash browns are always good. I was hoping that this time they would get it right.. I really was. Well if consistency is what they are going for, they got it down.. consistent with never getting it right. We expected the 30+ minutes wait time for a table at 11:30 on a Sunday and the 45+ minutes wait for our food but I had high hopes that our order would be correct. We told the waiter that this was our 10th visit and that the previous 9 times our order was wrong. It's simple.. Grandpa's Country Fried Breakfast with over easy eggs (add 1 extra egg ) with the country fried steak and has brown casserole. We ask for all of the gravy on the side. Nothing crazy right? We got 2 eggs overcooked in the window to overhard (missing the 3rd egg) the entire plate covered in gravy.. ugh seriously every single time we get the same thing. Attention to detail people. This time our breakfast was semi cold and oldish but the plates were extra hot so I'm assuming our food was sitting in the window for quite some time. My Grandma's sampler was also wrong and my scrambled eggs were dry as hell. Normally I love their food but our order is ALWAYS wrong, this time it was wrong and below par. Let me go ahead and change this rating to a one star I would do zero if I could, came in around 12 o'clock, was told it was a 30 minute wait, we waited for an hour. Not a problem. We were sat. The time went by, about 10 minutes. And then a table next to us was set. Their waiter immediately came up, took their order drink order, and they were set to go. We waited another five minutes with nothing. My wife approached the girl standing in the middle who we were told her name was Elisha, she ignored her completely, and went back into the kitchen. We waited another 10 minutes before we finally left went to gringo's and was served immediately. I tried to give this place another chance but moving forward I will avoid it like the plague. Today - Service: 15 minutes before the server gets to us. Gave a 4 year old a full glass of water (not in one of the containers with lids) Only visited the table once Gave 2 napkins on a table with a kid Very sweet, but overall just slow and not too attentive Food: Bland, dry, and disappointing are their overall food profile Pinto beans - I couldn't believe they serve this. Nothing bad to say about this place! Ample parking lot, friendly service and cute cute stuff in the shop! Upon walking in on a busy Sunday i was able to immediately check us in after easily joining the wait list online. In addition to a text they also call your name old school over the intercom and I'm glad as I'm way too distracted by the store stuff. Such unique seasonal items that you won't see anywhere else. Our server Connor was phenomenal friendly patient adept and sweet even though he was slammed. Food always as expected down home country cooking at its best and 3 of us ate breakfast for $25!!!! We had a great experience dining here on a Saturday afternoon. Food came out really fast, our server was attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was cozy with the fireplace on in the background. I absolutely enjoyed the whole dining experience, the fun country store is a cherry on top, full of novel candies, soda pops, toys, ornaments, clothing, and cool things. In terms of food, their cornbread is to die for, it's warm and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, as I devoured the cornbread, it instantly warmed my soul. Everything else was great, fried chicken is just as good as expected, rainbow trout is tender and well seasoned, steak fries are actually crispy (unless most restaurants' are soggy), and all the other country sides are great. The blueberry pancakes are amazing good! The waiter was good too. I didn't need nothing else.

You can guarantee they are going to mess up a take out order. Last night, they left a whole dinner off. We had to go back and pick it up. The food is never even warm. Always cold. They give 1 small bottle of syrup for 3 big pancakes and want to charge almost a dollar for any extra bottle. We have given them so many chances. It's always the same. Mediocre food and always missing something. I don't think they even try. This place can't even make the pancakes taste good. read more

This location gives Cracker Barrel a bad name or they are nationally destroying the brand. Our server did not bring biscuits as a starter. When asked she said she chose not to bring them because I ordered pancakes. My daighter did not order pancakes. The food was barely warm, when it arrived. The server places the order at table, electronically. The food is ready for pickup much faster than the server can get to it. The server is taking orders, delivering food and bussing tables. In a busy restaurant with electronic ordering the timing is off. I can't remember the last time I had such an awful meal. I've been to a few Cracker Barrels but nothing like this. It was a weekend and I knew there would be a long wait. There always is. I wasn't concerned. Be reminded that you'll have a wait at any one of the chains on weekend morning. It started when our waiter brought out our coffee and served them to us by picking them up with his bare hands by the rim. Pre Covid days this would have been gross, but we are living in a world of Covid. Unacceptable! My friend ordered crispy bacon and quite honestly it wasn't even cooked. We couldn't eat it at all. The ham I ordered was hard as a rock. Didn't touch that either. The free biscuits that you normally receive at Cracker Barrel came out when we were almost done with our meal. We had to constantly flag down our waiter for coffee refills and such. Most of the time he was no where to be found. It was just all round waste of a meal. Decided day before to get up and go to breakfast at 9am. Been to Cracker Barrel many times but first time at this location and also keep in mind it's July 4th. Plenty of parking and today when we arrived as the lot was pretty empty. Considered using app to make the waitlist but the app stated 0 wait time and when we walked into the place it was empty. We were seated quickly and only saw a few tables with people seated. So I thought great we will not wait long to get our food. Waitress arrived quickly and she took our drink order which was coffee and waters. She then return and took our order. I think our waitress was new as she was very timid and soft spoken with little to no small talk or chit chat and she didn't seem to know the menu when we asked questions and wanted to substitute an item. After what seemed to be 10+ minutes waitress came by and refilled coffee and I thought wow as slow as they are we haven't got our food yet and long time between refills. Then a couple mins later a food runner came to our table with food but not anything we ordered. Tried to get our waitress but she was not to be found. A few mins later our waitress stopped by table and I asked her for update? And I told her about the food runner and wrong food. She said I'll go check and again was gone a 5-7 mins than returned finally with our food. We placed our order around 9:05 am and our food arrived around 9:35. My GF ordered 2 eggs over medium and I order the grandpa breakfast so nothing odd or difficult. I know it's July 4th but they were very slow when we arrived and had plenty of staff roaming around so confused on why service was so slow and delayed. I really like Cracker Barrel and never had this slow of service even when we arrive at other times when they are really busy. Of course I will return as I like Cracker Barrel and this could of just been a fluke and or new waitress learning curve who knows. Went here Sunday at 4pm to celebrate my son's birthday. When we placed our order we were informed they were out of pot roast so one person had to change their order. After getting our drinks we were told they were also out of chicken pot pie which was that day's special so two more people had to change their orders. After another 10-15 minutes they came out and said they were also out of ribs. At this point we got up and left. There were 7 people in our party and 4 could not get what they ordered. And you could tell that the hosts didn't know what they were doing. Over the last couple of years the service has gone down considerably at every location we have been to. Every time we visited, took longer to get the food. Today was their last chance and I am done, we will NEVER eat at a Cracker Barrel again. My time and money is precious and they do not deserve my business. The manager basically said it was not their fault, so who's fault is it then?!? I believe it's a management issue.
