3.5 stars I saw that there are some weekly specials so I decided to give this place a try with my husband and daughter after having not eaten here in years. The restaurant has gotten a little makeover so no complaints there. However, the food and service is just average to me. We placed our orders for two meatloaf meals, which was on special for that day. After about fifteen minutes we were told they were out of meatloaf. Why did it take that long to tell us that?! So I went with the grilled chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and green beans. Overall it was pretty good, except the gravy. It was so thick and seemed like it had been warmed up a ton of times. I didn't eat it. The one thing I notice when I eat food at Cracker Barrel is that it leaves my fingertips and mouth feeling really greasy. I'm not sure why, but I remember that from years ago as well and it still affects me the same way. My husband and daughter didn't comment much about their food. It was pretty average for them as well. For this reason and the mediocre food, I'm not sure I'll be visiting again unless it's to shop in the store, which I really like. My parents stopped here for lunch on last Sunday while driving back across the state because it was a convenient stop. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely frustrating. After checking in, they waited over an hour and still were not seated. During that time, they followed up with staff every 10-15 minutes to make sure they hadn't been overlooked. Meanwhile, multiple groups who arrived after them were seated first. What made the situation even more confusing was that they could see into the dining areas and noticed several tables sitting empty while they continued to wait. Staff never provided a clear explanation for the delay or why later arrivals were being seated ahead of them. After reading other reviews, it appears that long waits and poor organization may be recurring issues at this location. However, given that my parents were among the few non-white customers present, the experience left them wondering whether something more than simple disorganization was involved. I ordered Cracker Barrel through Doordash. No issues with Doordash, and no issues with my son's Barrel burgers and steak fries, which he loves. But when I opened my Campfire Beef I found a lot of watery juice, 2 small red potatoes, 5 baby carrots, and 4 cherry tomatoes. What I didn't find was the star of the show. Yes, not one piece of beef was in it! How do you plate a Campfire beef and not notice there is absolutely no beef included. I was dumbfounded and irritated. Also, even though the ticket had 2 separate places that stated 2 biscuits and was checked through both times, I also had NO biscuits. I saw a tv commercial and wanted to taste the Campfire meal for myself. The half chicken was well seasoned, corn on the cob was sweet, baby red potatoes, carrots, and onions in a savory gravy. It smelled like heaven in a bag! Thought about childhood Sunday dinner at my Nana's house with baked chicken, green beans, rice and biscuits, this meal was pretty darn close to that memory. Service was very good whether its a takeout order or dining in visit. I'm hooked on this dish and want to try their Campfire Beef! I'm a happy customer and will get this Campfire meal again. Cracker Barrel never misses! While visiting family in North Carolina, we decided to stop by Cracker Barrel and it was such a great experience from start to finish. Sometimes when you're traveling you just want a place that feels comfortable, welcoming, and full of good food, and this spot delivered exactly that. Our waitress Madison was incredible. She was so friendly from the moment we sat down and had the kind of personality that instantly makes you feel taken care of. She checked on us throughout the meal, made sure everything was perfect, and just had the sweetest energy. Great service really makes a meal memorable and Madison absolutely nailed it. Now let's talk about the food. I decided to try the new strawberry peach lemonade, and it was SO good. Super refreshing and the perfect drink to go along with the meal. For my entrée, I ordered Grandma's Sampler, and wow... it was amazing. Everything tasted fresh, hot, and exactly like the comforting homestyle cooking Cracker Barrel is known for. Recently popped in to Cracker Barrel. Our aMazing greeters Joseph and Linda spoke through menu options. Joseph flagged an amazing special meals for two menu that gave us many options. My brother and I got a Cinnamon Roll Skillet and two Mommas pancake breakfasts for $19.99. I was tempted to get the fried pickles (also an option on that menu) but did order an extra side of grits (but was tempted by cheesy grits). Grits with butter and salt are a comfort food for me. Morgan our server was amazing and very attentive. We had amazing food and even better service. The $5 take home meals like butter pecan French Toast Bake made me smile. read more

Even grading on a Cracker Barrel scale, this location is a struggle. Told (and texted) it would be a 5 minute wait, we were seated at 25 minutes. Ordered our food and waited 40 minutes for it to arrive. (Food was correct and fine). Took drink order and brought wrong drinks. Asked if we wanted cornbread or biscuits and brought opposite of what we said. I'm guessing very overwhelmed and very understaffed. Manager apologized and comped our meal when brought to his attention but spent MUCH more time there than we'd bargained for, doubt we'll return to that location. read more

I stopped by for a good Sunday breakfast on 5/4/25, and I'm glad I did! Brenyanah G was my waitress, and she provided excellent service--checking in regularly to make sure I had everything I needed. I ordered the Grandma's Pancake Breakfast with plain hashbrowns, bacon, and fried eggs (you get two eggs). The pancakes paired perfectly with their natural syrup, and everything on the plate was fresh and flavorful. I enjoyed my meal with a cup of coffee, which really rounded things out. One tip: use the Cracker Barrel app! Signing up gave me a free appetizer/barrel bite, so I tried the biscuit beignets. You get six, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and served with a butter pecan sauce--so good and definitely worth it. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this Concord location. No complaints--just good food, great service. read more

We arrived for lunch at 11:30, seated and placed our order promptly. We were talking and suddenly realized our meal had not arrived. We flagged the waitress and she said "your meal is cooking." It was 20 minutes after we ordered. Another 20 minutes and no meal. We left. We realized 8 people in our area had come in after us, ordered, eaten, and left. I don't think 2 orders of pecan pancakes take that long to cook. We did stop and tell someone up front what had happened and she said she would pass on the information. Is it just me or have Cracker Barrel restaurants gone down in quality over the years? My wife and I, along with our kids and young grandkids stopped in here for a late lunch on Thursday. I was the first to sit at our large round table while everyone else went to clean up. A waitress came over and said she would be right back to take drink orders when there were more people at the table and left. There was no offer of water. A few minutes later, with everyone at the table, a waiter came over and wanted to take our drink orders. I thought maybe the waitress was busy and he was her backup, so we gave our drink orders. Then a minute later, the waitress returned to take our drink orders. We told her that the guy had already taken them and asked which of them would be working with us. She said that she would, and went to find the guy. Then, a minute later, the waiter came back with our drinks. We told him that the lady had just been by and said she would be working with us. He said that he would be the one working with us, not her, and gave us our drinks. Odd. Two of us had ordered a Blue Moon, which comes only in a can here. I requested some glasses, and we were brought small glasses that held about half of the beer instead of something actually for the beer, or at least big enough to pour the beer into. I asked if they had orange slices, but he said they did not. To his credit, he brought out some orange juice for us though. C'mon, Cracker Barrel. You don't serve Blue Moon without a glass and orange slice. I asked for cornbread and biscuits before our meal, and those were brought out after a bit, but he didn't bring us plates for them. I asked for some mall plates, and the waiter returned with plastic bowls. I picked up a piece of cornbread, and it was so hard I was banging it on the bowl. It was like a rock. After a lot of activities that day, I was tired and hungry, so I just closed my eyes and did a big inhale and exhale. So much for cornbread before my meal. Boy I sure do miss my granddad and his cooking right about now. Our meals come out, and they are exactly what we ordered, so that was nice. The temperature was good, too. However... One of my side dishes was grits. They were watery like soup. Impossible to eat with a fork, and we had no spoons. Green beans were my other side. But they were only green bean remnants. Like someone used a chainsaw on the beans and this was the greenbean dust and bits that came flying off the saw. We went ahead and ate our meals and did not see our waiter again. Right about as we finished eating, the manager came by and asked us how everything was. I politely told her "Well, since you asked..." and gave her a quick rundown. She apologized and offered us free desserts. That was nice of her to do, and we accepted that offer. My rating dropped based on my experience today. Our server was very friendly but that's the only good characteristic she had. She was very forgetful from bringing coffee cream when she said she would, and forgetting to bring a takeout container when I asked her for one. Dinner while erranding, my wife and I enjoyed our meal. The store is laid out like others with the clothing, toys, and candy to one side. We were greeted and since it wasn't busy, so we were seated immediately. I'm now doing a keto diet which is a slight challenge at CB. Most meals and sides are heavy on carbs (and delicious!) so I stuck to the Southern Fried Chicken with steamed broccoli and a side salad. The chicken was tasty and I peeled off most of the batter. Leg, wing, thigh, all perfect. The breast ended up being a bit dry. Plenty of food though! Broccoli was overdone and almost mushy. Salad with some actual bits of bacon was very nice. My wife enjoyed her French Toast which was different than the usual we've had. Moister and not as well done but still tasty. For some reason, our server brought a bowl of whipped cream. Unusual. Service was great. Andrea did a great job of being attentive, ensuring the accuracy of our order and bringing refills without asking. Fabulous. Restrooms were a disappointment. Men's room needed both bins emptied and my wife reported that the ladies room was similarly needing attention. Like others, this Cracker Barrel allows overnight parking in their lot. It's nicely far from the highway offramp that the road noise is minimal though it's under the runway approach which was unexpected. It's not a busy airport unless it's a race week. Came out the kitchen pretty fast so not sure if it was simply reheated. Asked for some type of credit/compensation for what turned out to be a 40 min unnecessary wait. I have always been a fan of the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. They always have good food and great service. I love to look around the store before or after my meal because they always have really cute stuff at decent prices. My most recent visit I got take out with my kids because we had the dog with us. It was the first time and likely the last. I ordered the pancakes and was disappointed when I got home to see 2 flat, smaller than usual pancakes that were almost tough. Hard to exain the tough part except I could not use my fork to cut them. I was also very disappointed to learn the stopped serving blackberry topping! We ordered online. It took 3 attempts and had to call the restaurant to ask how to order something due to there being limitations. Upon arrival at the time they said it would be ready .... It wasn't. We waited about 20 minutes to get our meal. Not sure what happened however this was not the typical service you get from the Cracker Barrel in Concord. I am hopeful that was just an off day for the Concord store because typically Cracker Barrel is very good. read more

Cracker Barrel is one of those spots where you pretty much know what to you're going to get. Despite giving old plantation feels, to my surprise, they have been updating and innovating in ways that you might not be aware of. For starters, they sell alcohol.....so go ahead and order that mimosa with brunch!! They also offer an Impossible sausage for all the plant-based eaters. You can now pay your bill tableside by scanning a QR code. Other than that the experience is about what you expect from Cracker Barrel. Our service was excellent. She checked on us frequently, even when we were just sitting around talking after we finished our meal. The food was very good. I ordered the French toast this time instead of my go -to pancakes and I was really happy with my choice. Here is my one negative. Despite their updates, Cracker Barrel is still holding onto the notion that everyone eats meat (or meat-substitutes). They do not allow substitutions even though most sides are cheaper than the meat. For me to order french toast and a side of grits it was more expensive than ordering their combo of french toast, two eggs, and meat. Make that make sense?!? Not only is it wasteful but it just doesn't make sens Pro-tip: Go online and get on the waiting list from the comfort of your home. They will text you when your table is ready. We were seated at our table at noon on a Sunday. We never had someone come and take drink orders till 12:30. While eating, our waitress, Rachel, seemed to forget two plates of toast for us. One person at our table got their food about 10-12 minutes BEFORE everyone else. Drinks other than coffee, were never refilled. I will add, the food that did come out was good but makes me wonder how long it was sitting under hot lights when the other dish came out so early. for the second time I placed a huge online order that CB could not take care of. The order was placed a week ahead and I got a phone car 15mins before I was supposed to pick it up letting me know it wouldn't be ready for another hour and a half because the online dept sent it to the restaurant at the last moment. The lady at the restaurant was very apologetic so this review has nothing to do with her. The first time it happened they lost the order completely. I left a previous review about being followed around the store by the employees. Unfortunately, I am here to update that it has now happened twice in the last couple months. I don't eat here anymore due to poor service and poor food. However, I do like to shop the store on occasion. In early December, I went to shop and an employee followed me around the store about a foot from me at all times. Making constant comments on everything. Then I went back about a week ago. SAME THING HAPPENED from the same employee. Except this time they never left my side the whole time I was shopping. They made comments about everything I even remotely looked at. Constantly telling me what to buy and not buy. Now I don't mind a little friendly conversation but they were so insistent and close to me. Another employee eventually joined them in following me around the store. I went back another time just to see if they would do it again and the manager followed me around that time! And for what it's worth, I heard a couple in the check out line say they would never eat there again. If I could give this place zero stars I would. read more

Very disappointed today with our service. We made an online reservation for 2 and arrived at 10:30 am and was seated at 10:55 am. Waitress took our order after being told by table next to us that were arrived first. After 30 minutes the table next to us received their food. At 11:40 a waitress presented an incorrect order to our table and was directed to take it to the 300 section; we were at the 200 section. At 11:50 our food arrived. They advertise curbside pick-up, you can place a curbside order (remotely) and there's signs in front of the store with a number to call when you arrive for your curbside pick-up. No one answers that number, EVER! You must go inside the store and pick up your order. I can place an order and pick it up at almost any restaurant in my area....but, Cracker Barrel offered curbside pick-up which they don't have. They redecorated and the new design is so bad, I miss the old vintage Cracker Barrel. This new style is like brand new things trying to look old and vintage and it ruins the atmosphere and aesthetic of what Cracker Barrel is. It's become more modernized which ruins the original old southern charm that Cracker Barrel is known for.
