One of my favorite places to get tea. I am a tea snob, really specific aka picky with my drinks, but Cracken does it wonderfully. The woman (owner?) is quiet but very nice, and makes probably one of the best iced london fogs I'll ever have. Place is cute and well decorated and super clean. I was in Everett judging some beer, and I always like to sample local espresso when I can. Yelp pointed me here! Cracken roasts their own beans, very cool. The latte was pretty good. Honestly it was a little over-roasted/burnt tasting. The crema was a little bit too thick, which is usually indicated that there was a little bit of a problem with with the bean production, or the water was too hot when the espresso was pulled. Who would've thought that this Seattlite would be hanging out in Everett? With great local businesses like Cracken Coffee Roasters though, I can't say I'm too surprised. :) We happened upon Cracken one afternoon and were immediately welcomed by Doug, the owner, and his son. They were both very attentive and friendly, and its clear just how passionate Doug is about his trade. As a coffee shop owner and a roaster, Doug hopes to move into the wholesale coffee bean business soon. Cracken's space itself is clean and quiet, with a good amount of seating available. I love how they added a few tables outside so you can take advantage of the summer weather. I also appreciate that they're open a little later - until 6PM during the week and 4PM on Saturday, as many coffee shops tend to close early. Lastly, whether you get your drink piping hot or icy cold, each drink we've had so far has been wonderful. My usual go-to espresso drink is an Americano, and I found that Cracken's was very smooth without the typical bitterness. Pair it with a pastry and you're set for breakfast or an afternoon snack! Prices are pretty average for an independent coffee shop (12oz latte for $3.50), so I don't have any qualms with spending a little extra here. :) With quick service and great tasting coffee, I can definitely see myself becoming a regular here. So if you're in the Everett area, be sure to swing by and give them a visit! read more

Moved to the area after spending 10 years in seattle, and one of the things I miss are the abundance of small coffee shops and bakeries. After a month of starbucks and trying and being disappointed in many drive thru espresso stands, I decided to make a little bit of a drive to give this place a try after reading all the high reviews. I was a bit hesitant because the location doesn't scream good coffee shop, but was pleasantly surprised. Really good coffee, and nice assortment of high quality pastries, though I found the prices on the pastries to be a little high. Unfortunately it's not close enough to my place for it to be my regular morning coffee spot, but it will be my spot to go when I want to treat myself to a really good coffee. I will say, the shopping center this place is located in is on the sketch side. All the times I've come so far I've run into meth zombies in the parking lot. read more

I want to commend on a local business in having such a variety of beans being roasted locally relatively fresh with very good traceability for all their beans. The barista seems to be fairly knowledgeable and patient with my questions and indecisiveness. I'm very hopeful this place will do great as I can sense the passion! That said, my experience overall with the actual beverage felt more like a 4 star mostly because my pour over cost far more than I expected, and the quality in the cup was just okay with what I felt tasted like a bit of a rushed pour with some odd notes in the cup. Since hitting my 30s, my body has decided it no longer wants foods I've taken for granted, like milk, almonds, wheat, etc. It's as annoying as you'd expect, so I really appreciate that Cracken offers a wide range of non-dairy milks as well as at least one gluten-free pastry case option at all times. On top of being friendly to those of us with diet restrictions, everything here just tastes good! We love the coffee so much we buy the beans for whenever we need a cup at home. Not the most friendly place. I have tried stopping in a couple times and have definitely gotten the feeling that my business is not wanted. The first time I stopped in I specifically asked "for here" as there were a few patrons already sitting at tables and there was plenty of open seating I assumed it would not be a problem. I was given my order all to go and when I took a seat kept getting an annoyed look from the man working there. That was over a year ago if memory serves and decided to try again today. The lady working was with another customer they were having a conversation as she was making their beverage. No acknowledgement that I had come in, no eye contact or "I'll be with you shortly" as the time stretched on I began to feel more and more awkward and left. Ahhhh....this place is a gem in a strip mall with nothing special around. I am not a coffee drinker and when I looked at their menu and didn't see much else I thought I would write it off. BUT I love cute local coffee shops and read another Yelp review mentioning a London Fog which is my favorite drink. I'm so glad I went in because they make a wonderful one! I took one sip of the frothy steamed milk while walking to my car and audibly sighed out loud with delight...it was perfect. The environment is cute, nice and quiet and during COVID it was clean and easy to get in and out. The coffee selection looks wonderful and my husband said he loved his. I spent the rest of my work day with a smile on my face. I am going to a new doctor around the corner and will happily be stopping by after every appointment. You have to try it. read more

This is my favorite coffee place in all of WA. I'd come more often, but it's a bit out of the way for me. The iced Einspaner is my go-to drink. The coffee has a very bold flavor, and can be a bit strong for some. But when you mix it with the house made cream...O. M. G. It is the most perfectly made cream. It has a thick, creamy consistency, and doesn't melt all the way - so you have leftover cream at the end...and yes, it tastes really good on its own. The combination of the coffee and cream is perfect...it's not very sweet, and when mixed, you can still taste the coffee. If you're looking for something a bit sweeter, the Dark Knight is the same thing, but with chocolate added. The lady that works here (I think she's the owner) is wonderful and very nice. She consistently makes the drinks delicious. As I'm writing this, wishing I had an Einspaner in hand. Gotta go back soon! read more

A lot of times when my boyfriend and I are looking for a good coffee shop that not only has good coffee but pastries we find ourselves traveling to either Seattle or the East side. I am so happy that this one is only a few minutes away from our place. The service is great, they roast their own beans, and the pastries are amazing! Amazing drinks and pastries! I love getting the Vanilla London Fog every time I come here, and the owner always has a smile on his face and loves talking to customers. I've came in in the earliest of mornings near 6 am to right before closing, and I can't recall a single time he wasn't full of joy. Decided to try a new study/coffee spot and found this cute coffee shop tucked inside the Paget Park Center on 128th! Came here on a Wednesday and it was really quiet and open. They have a tons of tables, mostly 2 person square tables, one long table, a few bar style seating and two comfy chairs in the corner. Overall, very well spaced out from each other. They have outlets all along the walls and the windows, so basically every table you choose will have access to an outlet. They also have WiFi, which you have to ask for the password for. The decor/theme is very much a combination of minimalistic and rustic (lots of wood accents which I love!) Ambiance and decoration wise, this place gets a 5/5 They offer an array of different blends in coffee. Definitely a good place to try out if your feeling adventurous in trying a new style/taste of coffee blend. I ordered my usual white chocolate mocha. However, I didn't know that it would be caramel white chocolate mocha until the man said it out loud. I'm definitely not mad though because it turned out really good! The coffee had a very rich and light taste to it, balancing sweetness and richness just right. Of course their coffee art made the whole thing look very elegant. My friend got a hot chocolate and described it as not too sweet or too milky so I'm going to guess it's pretty good too. On top of coffee, they offer pastries and small food items. The prices for their food and drinks aren't bad, I would say, it falls in the normal coffee shop price range. So, as far coffee, I give them a 5/5 too! First time here and I think I'm in love. Why not try a local place instead of Starbucks? Located in an Albertson's plaza, the inside of the cafe was nice and modern--typical cafe. Except they had a giant bean roasting thing! That was pretty cool. Anywho, on to the coffee. They have typical coffee drinks and some specials. I got the Caffe Cracken (mocha with actual bits of orange peel in it). Who knew that was a good combo? It's so simple but it brought out so many flavors. I usually don't drink coffee because my tongue thinks it's harsh, but this coffee was SOOOOOO SMOOTH, like I was on a pace of finishing it in 2 minutes! I've tried their iced lattes, but I think I'll stick with the hot drinks--I like them better. I've also tried the dark knight!
