Prices are pretty good compared to the area I am from (DC). Only paid about $34 for 1 pound of crawfish, 1/2 pound of shrimp, 1/2 pound of clams, potatoes, corn, and sausage. Service is good. Quality of seafood is hit or miss. Interior is cool and there's lots of TVs. I do recommend getting a medium or higher for spice because as someone who usually gets mild at other seafood boil places, this places mild is truly mild and tastes like nothing. The medium was great.

Crab Du Jour is not your typical traditional seafood restaurant. It is a memorable dining experience in a dynamic ambiance, with a very creative seafood menu, wonderfully cooked fresh seafood, served in a dynamic way, and with extraordinary customer service. Founded in 2019 and based in Noth Carolina, this chain business specializing in signature Cajun-style boiled seafood with a variety of seafood sold by the half-pound, then steamed via plastic bags and presented table-side with the seasoning of your choice, stands out from the other seafood restaurant by its innovated nature. But what impressed me the most from this restaurant located on Valley View Blvd near the Valley View Mall is the well run it is with great hospitality and excellent customer service. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was impressed by the majestic building structure beautifully designed and painted, with a large lit sign with the name and logo of the restaurant on a tower high above. This and a statue of a pirate up front. Inside, you first walk into a beautiful decorated foyer also with a statue of a pirate and a giant red crab. Then through another doors you arrive at the restaurant's interior and the Host's station. The host gave me a warm welcome and took me to my table handing me a copy of the menu. The inside of the dining area was very clean and lively decorated in a relaxed environment. My server Kevin, a young US citizen of Chinese descent, and a Biology major graduate of Virginia Tech, gave me a warm welcome with a big smile and explained the menu to me in a very effective way. To drink I had an Iced Sweet Tea. As appetizer, the Coconut Shrimp; and as the main entrée the Make Your Own Combo with 1/2 lb of Scallops and a 6oz Lobster Tail with the Du Jour Special seasoning. This came with corn on the cob and potatoes. When my server brought out the Coconut Shrimp, it was so fresh and fried nicely. One of the best Coconut Shrimps that I have ever had. Then the main entrée was brought inside a plastic bag with the season inside. My server Kevin mixed the items inside with the seasoning by shacking the bag and then turned it over inside the aluminum deep dish. The seafood was very fresh, of excellent quality, and cooked to perfection. The seasoning was very tasty without being too spicy. I had some trouble taking the meat out of the Lobster shell and asked my server for some help and he put on some plastic gloves and stripped the meat off the shell. It all tasted so delicious. For dessert I had the Chocolate Mosaic Cake and asked if it came with Ice Cream. My server said he would bring it with Ice Cream and he brought it out with Chocolate Ice Cream. Amazingly delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to all those out there lovers of fresh seafood cooked nicely and seasoned with a wonderful seasoning. Served with an amazing presentation by an excellent server.

The interior of place definitely fits the seafood vibe well, with Jack Sparrow greeting you twice as you walk in. However, Jack is looking kinda rough nowadays. We both ordered combo B; however, we got different seasonings. Our Waiter, Kevin, who was excellent, suggested I get the Du Jour special. My grandfather got the Cajun seasoning. The food was great and came out promptly. For dessert, I got Tiramisu, which was delicious and was presented quite nicely.

Crab Du Jour on Valley View Boulevard was a rather barren place when we entered on a Sunday in October. Host and waitress were extremely pleasant and helpful. Seafood Boil is the focus of this place. We tried the two pounds (this was a special, possibly buy one pound get one pound free) of Snow Crab legs. You get to choose the type of spice and intensity. It comes out in an inflated bag that the waitress opens and pours the contents for your enjoyment. The Boil comes with potatoes and corn on the cob. Neither will light your fire--skip those. I did appreciate the hot drawn butter for dipping the Snow Crab! Scissors would have been helpful in extracting the meat of the Crabs. The texture of snow crab is more fibrous and chewy than say lobster, still yummy. We also tried the Fried Fish & Shrimp Basket. The Shrimp were outstanding, fish okay. All in all a pleasurable experience. Kids would probably love this place.

Very good fries and extremely delicious salad and wings The servers were very nice and it was quite a nice and unique experience. The crabs were quite garlicky, however not inedible. 4.8/10 would definitely recommend and try again

I have truly enjoyed dining in each and every one of them. But Bread Craft, located in the Star City of Roanoke, is in a class of its own. After being ranked 4th among Yelp's Top 50 Most Prolific Elites of 2025, a distinction recognizing my consistent community engagement and high-quality contributions, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants, businesses, and establishments, and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to go back and write follow-up reviews on those places that impressed me the most during 2025, and Bread Craft Bakery, located in Downtown Roanoke, is the perfect example of one of them. Bread Craft is a premier, artisan European-style bakery established in 2006 by owner Alex Eliades, who besides having a passion for baking, has over 25 years of baking experience, and leads the bakery focusing on traditional slow-fermentation techniques. The bakery is known for its high-quality, scratch-made sourdough, pastries, and Croissants. It evolved from a wholesale operation into a popular 6,000 square foot café on Church Avenue, also supplying local restaurants. The bakery specializes in Franch and German-style baking, utilizing sourdough as a natural leavener. It servers breakfast and lunch items, including sandwiches, salads, and some creative breakfast egg entrées. They are open Wednesdays through Sundays from 8:00AM - 2:00PM and are well known for running out of items before the end of the day. For this review I visited the Bakery / Café for breakfast on two consecutive Wednesdays. The first Wednesday I arrived too late to be able to have their Chorizo & Eggs Cocotte from their Breakfast menu. Breakfast is only served until noon, and I found out about this on that day. So instead I had a Cheese Danish and a house-made Mocha Coffee. Both items were delicious. On the second Wednesday I arrived much earlier for breakfast. Luckily, right before a whole rush of customers arriving to place Take-out orders. As soon as I walked inside I immediately felt comfortable with its clean and contemporary architectural design and decor, and an exposed red brick wall that gave it a warm ambiance. One can see that the owner spent a substantial amount in renovating the place when they moved here, and that they took good care of it, because it looked as if it had just opened for the very first time yesterday. While I was looking over all the baked items they had, I received a friendly greeting and warm welcome from a lady behind the counter who seemed to be the manager and took my order. To start I ordered a Chorizo Quiche which happened to be the Quiche of the day, and a house-made Mocha Coffee. Then since I was planning to turn this into a Brunch, for my main entrée I ordered their Chorizo Cocotte from the Breakfast menu. And for dessert I had a Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant that was simply irresistible. Everything tasted amazingly delicious, especially since I love Chorizo. The Quiche had an amazing crust with the eggs inside cooked with the perfect amount of chorizo. The Chorizo Cocotte was served in an elongated bowl with two poached eggs over Spanish sausage, accompanied by three slices of freshly made Baguette. And if all this wasn't enough, the Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant was the perfect ending dessert to this fabulous put together Brunch. Oh and the coffee was the best of the best. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to get a better sense of the place and the quality of their food. What an outstanding dining experience I just had at Bread Craft. Wonderful ambiance, amazing food, and extraordinary customer service. I highly recommend this Bakery/Café whenever you're in the area. I'm absolutely certain it will become one of your favorites bakery.

After having been selected as number 4 of Yelp's Top 50 most prolific Elites of 2025, a year when I also was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Photographer of the Year Award at their Yelpies 2025 Award Ceremony, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, and where last year I was awarded the Yelp Triad Squad Yelper of the Year Award, I decided that this year, as an All-Star Yelp Elite, I not only wanted to be the first to discover new restaurants and bring them to the attention of the public, but also to return to those special ones, that have made a difference in my life and highlight them, for the benefit of the public, so they too can have an opportunity to appreciate the qualities of a one-of-a-kind fine dining experience. And Bernard's Gastropub & Eatery in Downtown Roanoke, is a perfect example. Bernard's was born out of the love of two culinary aficionados turned professionals that in someway have managed to create a restaurant with an environment that transmits this intimate love to the hearts of their customers through the attention to detail in its extraordinary customer service and amazing culinary masterpieces. Today, I felt like dining at this restaurant, which I admire for its consistency in always far exceeding my high expectations of what a fine-dining restaurant should be all about. Not knowing if they would have a table for me at this late time on a Saturday early evening, I drove in my pearl white Lexus to the nearest private parking lot and gave them a call to inquire as if they could give me a reservation for the next ten minutes. A gentleman, who later I found out was named Matthew, and would be my server, answered the phone with a very polite and welcoming voice; answering my question of what was the special dish of the day and to come on down, that my reservation was assured. As soon as I arrived to the small, very elegant foyer in front of the Host's station, he came out to greet me and instantly recognized who I was. My only request was that he give me a low table because at my age seating at a high table was a bit uncomfortable. He went back to see what he could find and ended setting me up with what I consider one of the best tables of the house, and I was so appreciative of his last minute accommodation. The menu was already setup on my table. He poured water from a special bottle into my water glass and asked if I wanted something else to drink. I asked for a Mocktail and since he also was a bartender, he prepared me one of the best mocktails I've ever had. To dine, I started out with their Mussels Carbonara appetizer, which came in a bacon parmesan cream sauce that was simply amazing, and served with toast points. As my main entrée I had the Dinner Special of the Night, the Seafood Trio. It had a delicious, giant size crab cake in the middle, scallops, and shrimps, with parmesan risotto sautéed heirloom tomato, spinach, and nice size asparagus, with a burre blanc sauce. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to get a better sense of the high-quality of their food and magnificent ambiance of the place. Everything was so delicious that only one word could ever describe them: priceless! For dessert I had their very famous Butterscotch Banana Pudding, which the chef makes at the moment ordered. It looked spectacular and tasted amazingly delicious: a culinary work of art. What a great way for the Gran Finale of an extraordinary dining experience!
