Chef Luana's pasta making class was amazing. Best cooking class experience I've had - great instructor, plenty of hands-on experience, and the best pasta I've ever tasted. Chef Luana is incredibly experienced, and it shows. We made fresh fettuccine and spaghetti pasta. And it's not your average fettuccine and spaghetti. Trust me. It blew my mind. Wow my friends have been telling me to try Cozymeal, hopefully this is isolated to Palm Springs but STAY AWAY FROM THEM AND CHEF JESUS. Jesus (doesn't deserve the chef moniker) was supposed to be providing a cooking with friends experience. Spoiler Alert! It did NOT happen. To start this off leading up to the event he tried to switch the time and date multiple times but we had a fixed time and date we needed. Eventually we agreed to push up the event by two hours as an accommodation for him but at the new time agreed upon he didn't even show up we had to call him and he said sorry about that but he would be providing a private chef situation as a treat for my sisters birthday and arrived instead at the original time. When he arrived he was complaining about my sisters peanut allergy and how it was so hard. I realize now he was doing this because he was trying to make excuses for changing a menu for no reason. Nothing in the menu needed to be changed except changing the type of oil needed. He said ladies I want you to "relax" and I will cook for you. He NEEDED to say this because what he was about to serve us was a bunch of premade frozen foods from the bargain aisle of Albertsons. No joke. More on that later. So we say fine and jump into a game of charades. My sisters microwave has a sticky button and if you are unfamiliar with how to press it you can't open it. we all heard him fumble with the microwave and then give up deciding to fry up the frozen egg rolls he was going to serve us. When the egg rolls are served he plops some condiments and says here you go. There's like 30 egg rolls some of which are cold on the inside. In my mind that's near confirmation that they are frozen. Next up the main course. It was supposed to be sea bass but instead it was rockfish. Like for real bro?? This experience was expensive and you serve rock fish? It's rude. And the rock fish was literally just sautéed with a bunch of pepper. It was inedible. I did not eat it. The side was rice well actually it was supposed to be a jook but I personally don't think he knows what that is. It was both mushy and crunchy clearly Jesus can't ascertain portion size. Last up was mochi. I mean it was just like mango mochi from the frozen section. Which I mean is alright but the original menu was for us to have black sesame ice cream so that's just so different. For $130 a person this "meal" was not acceptable. So we told Jesus and he vowed to make it right. We said okay and he left. We went through the trash and suspicions were confirmed. Discounted egg rolls from the frozen food aisle and rock fish $20 for the party. This guy is not a chef he's a reheating technician. The one thing that required chef skills was butchered so bad I couldn't eat it and was left hungry and bewildered. So surely when we message Cozymeals about this they will refund us right? Nope! They said he had to change the menu because of the peanut allergy. But does that mean you have to downgrade the protein and serve us frozen foods too? Jesus tried to say that we were intoxicated and that's why we couldn't do the cooking experience we hadn't had a drink prior to his arrival but how could we do any experience when it's all FROZEN. would he have been getting advice on how many seconds you need to put the egg rolls in the microwave?? Like be for real. Jesus is a scammer. And evidently cozymeals is eating it up lmaooooo Get this his new menu is based off all the frozen stuff he made for us so I guess he is covering his bases with his swindle projects he plans to continue. So just keep in mind it seems cozy meals is fine charging you $130 a person to eat Super Bowl snacks. read more

We learned valuable techniques, such as the perfect ratio of flour to water and the importance of a well-fermented dough. Chef Luana's guidance was clear and easy to follow, making the experience enjoyable for both experienced and novice cooks. Who knew you could cut pizza with scissors. The pizzas we created were absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Worst culinary experience I've ever had. Cozymeal seemed like a great idea for hiring a personal chef to host a cooking class for my sisters birthday celebration. It turned out to be a complete scam. The chef we hired was the only one available for the area of Palm Springs "Chef Jesus" and he was supposed to lead a cooking class for our group of 5. He changed the time of our event two hours early so we had to end our previously arranged activities at a day spa to come home early only for him to change the time back to the original time right when we were expecting him to arrive. We shrugged it off anyway and then he ends up cooking our entire meal as opposed to doing the class which we were bummed about but figured it might be nice to just have him cook for us. Then we realized the reason he arranged it this was is so he could secretly prepare frozen foods and try to pass them off to us as his own cuisine. He didn't even take the trash with him when he left so we were able to confirm our suspicions that he fed us frozen egg rolls and pre made mochi when we found the boxes in the trash. He also replaced the sea bass on our menu with rock fish. That's a wild replacement and anyone who knows anything about seafood would never accept. The fish he did prepare was completely inedible and came with a rice that was half mush and half undercooked. It was obvious to me he tied to add rice to a pot of already cooking rice which lead to this uneven texture. When we called him out on the whole thing he initially denied the claims and then eventually said the store gave him the wrong fish and he was rushing and apologized. Later when we started our claim with Cozymeal he had blatantly lied and alleged we were all too drunk to do a cooking class which is why he changed the plans. No one in our party had a single drink before he arrived and we had all just come back from doing a cleanse at a local day spa. Cozy meal basically came back to my sister siding with the chefs claims and saying that he had to change the menu due to her peanut allergy. You can't make a sea bass without peanut? And what about all the frozen food which actually puts her at way higher risk of allergen exposure considering he didn't know for sure what was in those items if they were made in a factory that processed nuts. We thought cozy meal would surely make this right and refund us for a terrible experience considering we had to go arrange last minute dinner plans since the entire experience left us without an edible meal.l, but they didn't care. We even sent them the security camera video footage of this guy trying to use the microwave to make the store bought egg rolls. Don't use this company to hire a chef. If you end up with some amateur they will do nothing for you to make it right even with all the evidence in the world. $750 in the trash! read more

Cozymeal does a great job in "brokering" cooking classes. Their offering is vast. The website is easy to navigate. The prices are reasonable. Back in late July, for his birthday, my partner and I took a Spanish tapas class with Chef Iain in Los Angeles. We loved it and found his class to be really informative, easy to follow, and the results were, well, pretty darned tasty. I found his class to be a great experience for the money. I expect that I'll sign up again with Cozymeal in the future. read more

If there was a way to put 0 out of 5 I would have. This was the worst experience I had of my life. The "chef" emphasis on chef was supposed to make us a 4 course meal but served ALL FROZEN STORE BOUGHT FOOD that just needed to be heated oven or stove top. Mind you this company did not even reach out for any kind of recompensation for this so called experience after being contacted.... if you want to save your time and money I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
