The team ran into some problems that were outside of their control and handled them extremely well. The spray makes a mess but they covered beforehand, and then cleaned up very well afterwards. Re cost, I obtained seven estimates. Only two came in cheaper, and I those estimators did not leave me with a good level of confidence that they would have quality work.

We purchased a new home in '21 and knew we wanted to do at least three things right off the bat: 1)…read moreinsulate the attic, 2) install solar, and 3) an EV charger. I was pleased to find that REenergizeCO did them all and were more than just an installer but on mission to increase energy efficiency. From start to finish communication was fantastic. They first did the insulation and we noticed a difference almost immediately. They also took care of submitting the Xcel rebate paperwork for it. The solar panels and EVSE came a bit later. Again, they took care of all the paperwork with Xcel. The system has been working without flaw since and saving us tons of money in this inflated energy cost environment. We had them out recently to detach and reset the panels for a roof replacement. They took the opportunity to slightly tweak the layout for better efficiency. Still the same commitment to quality!

That is not the norm when interacting with the trades. My HVAC system had a pipe break and it was leaking water over electrical cords. This was an electrical hazard in the making. The leaky pipe was spilling water all over the play yard of my dog training facility. My team could not use the space, as the water was growing an ecosystem and the dogs wanted to lap it up like a kale fruit drink. Hello giardia! Sean noticed that our HVAC system was not sealed, so we were essentially heating and cooling the outside. They sealed what needed sealing and replaced our air filters. My understanding is that the team primarily does insulation in Denver, so they can help with that, too. Drug-free crew...no meth mouth. Hire these people.

As it turned out, we had lacking insulation in our attic and no insulation at all in our exterior walls. Mark presented us with several options and guided us toward the option that would have the most immediate impact and fit our budget. He filed all of the paperwork for the Xcel rebate. While Xcel took quite a while to process the rebate, it ended up being substantially more than I was expecting and certainly help offset the costs improving the insulation throughout our home. Before the improvements, the second level of our 2-story home was significantly hotter in the Summer or colder in the Winter, than the main floor. Now, we have consistent temps throughout the house and are seeing lower Xcel bills too. Mark and his assistant were courteous and professional throughout the 2-day job and very Covid conscious as well, which was appreciated. Highly recommended!!!

If you're looking for a company that grossly overpromises, barely delivers, strings you along, and…read morethen ghosts you completely, then look no further than Ideal Home Energy. They sold us $35,000 solar panels in October of 2022, installed them in December, and then basically ignored us until April without getting the panels inspected/approved by the county. That's when I was FINALLY able to get in touch with Forrest, the owner, to try to get this project moved along. Forrest is the one who has continued the practice at IHE of overpromising and delivering next to nothing, as he told me over and over again that he was personally handling our job and that we were THIS close to getting it over the finish line. That was in April of 2023. Fast forward to now (mid-November)... four failed inspections later (many of which were due to his electrician not showing up at all), and now Forrest won't return my calls or texts. We have a lawyer who has sent a demand letter five days ago - still no response from Forrest nor anybody at IHE. I'm guessing we will have to sue him for all of our losses and future losses. I'm also aware that we are one of MANY clients who have been burned by him, so I'd expect more of this to hit him. I'd be careful buying their other services as well, since this could all blow up in his face. Additionally, Forrest promised to pay the electrical portion of our Xcel Energy bills, since we've been paying the financing on this system since February (for panels that are NOT functional) and therefore paying double what our energy bills used to be. He reimbursed us for March, April and May, but then stopped.... I guess we just have to eat the June, July, August, September, October, November, etc. etc. etc. costs that HE put us in. Beware of the glowing reviews of Ideal Home Energy and Forrest - he's just a good salesperson that tells you what you want to hear. Don't get burned like we did.

I hired this company to do air sealing and new insulation in my older Denver house. They were kind…read moreof a case of over-promising and under-delivering. But, to be fair, they didn't charge me for the things they didn't deliver. On the day that the work was done, the techs ended up not doing any air sealing. It wasn't entirely clear to me why, either the house didn't need it or it couldn't be done. Of course they didn't charge me for it, but that also meant I didn't get the Xcel rebate, which requires air sealing to be done. This seemed like something they should've figured out when they came out to do a quote. I also have a room without attic space above it, but I knew for a fact that the rafter space between ceiling and roof can be accessed from the main attic. So I asked them to include that in the quote and blow some insulation into that space. At the end of the work, the tech said they couldn't because there was no access to that space. By that point it was too late to try to convince them otherwise, since they'd already packed up. They adjusted the invoice to not charge me for that space, but I'm still left with a room without any insulation above it. They also installed a solar attic vent fan. Initially when they arrived, they said they'd have to reschedule that work, since they didn't have a fan in stock, but ended up locating one and installing it. I understand that there are supply chain woes, but when I had to make the appointment 2 months in advance, it kinda felt like they could've worked those issues out. There were also a few other things they said they'd do but ended up not doing without much explanation, including sealing/insulating the attic hatch, and installing vent baffles. I hate to be ageist, but both the person who came out to do the quote and the two techs looked to be in their 20s, so I couldn't help but wonder if they simply weren't experienced enough to know how to do all these things in an older home, and were primarily trained to go into an attic with a hose and spray insulation til done. In the end, the work they did do was fine. No damage or mess, and plenty of new insulation in the attic. But I don't know that it was really worth it. They said I should see a reduction in energy bills of something like 10%, but that's hard to measure when a) my bills are already pretty low and b) bills will change by 10% or more month-to-month based on just the weather. I had hoped that at least the new insulation would help reduce the large temperature differential between the levels in my house, but thus far that seems to not be the case, and I can't say I've noticed the a/c running less than it used to. So I don't regret having the work done, since the previous insulation was desperately out of date, and hopefully I'll see bigger dividends in the winter. But thus far it hasn't really made much difference.

While I was out of town, Jordan kept blowing up my phone. Their process was never explained to me, and I later found out my installation date was given away because Tyler, who initially scheduled it, "isn't allowed to schedule jobs." When I called back to clarify, Jordan was rude and dismissive from the start. They demanded payment, but I explained I was traveling and didn't have the credit card I wanted to use with me. Instead of understanding my situation, Jordan continued to be unhelpful and condescending. The lack of communication, poor organization, and rude behavior made this experience frustrating and disappointing. If their process had been properly explained upfront, this situation could have been avoided entirely. I wouldn't recommend their services based on this experience. It also blows my mind that Jordan is the General Manager. Wow. Kindness is key.

Now that it was a nursery for our baby boy we needed to do something about it. After trying a new vent and cellular shades I decided it was time to try to get the walls insulated, which felt like it would be a daunting (and expensive!) task. I called Phil from Arvada Insulation because I knew he was local to my neighborhood. Phil talked me through his process and my options to blow in insulation into the walls then scheduled a same day estimate. He was right on time for the estimate (though I almost napped through it) and throughly reviewed the room inside and out then provided my options and a hand-written estimate at a shocking reasonable price. I was hesitant about how my exterior brick/mortar would look following the project and Phil went the extra mile by showing me some other properties where he had done similar work and creating a new mortar sample just for me. On the day of the project Phil again showed up on-time, was respectful of my property, and did an extremely professional and thorough job. The best part is that it actually WORKED! My baby's nursery maintained heat 3-4 degrees better than it had before which is such a huge relief. I highly recommend Phil & Arvada Insulation and will most definitely be calling him for future insulation projects
