Review: Disorganized and Rude Customer Service I had a job scheduled for 12/9, signed the contract, and was traveling during Thanksgiving week. While I was out of town, Jordan kept blowing up my phone. Their process was never explained to me, and I later found out my installation date was given away because Tyler, who initially scheduled it, "isn't allowed to schedule jobs." When I called back to clarify, Jordan was rude and dismissive from the start. They demanded payment, but I explained I was traveling and didn't have the credit card I wanted to use with me. Instead of understanding my situation, Jordan continued to be unhelpful and condescending. The lack of communication, poor organization, and rude behavior made this experience frustrating and disappointing. If their process had been properly explained upfront, this situation could have been avoided entirely. I wouldn't recommend their services based on this experience. It also blows my mind that Jordan is the General Manager. Wow. Kindness is key. read more

The owner showed up in a Cybertruck at the wrong time, sent me a quote with an obvious error, and it took almost a week to get that obvious error removed. One red flag after another. Was told you'd hardly notice when they go in through the brick and that it's the easiest. Almost ever nail popped through my drywall, very VERY noticeable holes where they went in the mortar and then they pulled a wire out of my bathroom fan and said they were doing me a favor fixing my drywall and electrical they messed up. read more

Insulation is biodegradable but also disintegrates if disturbed. The injection points in my wood siding were plugged but not flush. I now have to spend the time leveling out the wood plug before I can touch up paint. Additionally, they left the hole cut outs lying around the perimeter of my house. Not the best read more

Ok. Well, I took a risk. We live in an early 70's house in Arvada. It's a 1 story ranch with basement. The two bedrooms on the West side of the house were seriously cold & drafty. After 10 years we had enough. I found these guys and was skeptical because basically, they are working blind in your walls.. They can see what is behind the walls. They can only feel. I looked at their website and figured anything would be better than what we currently have. So, I got set up with a free estimate. It went well and they were very professional & nice. Answered all my questions. It's not cheap but much less expensive than taking walls apart to fix the problem. Got an appointment. They showed up on time. Tim and his crew were professional, on time, & very informative. They didn't rush. The paid attention to detail and were done in ~4 hours. The foam is super cool! Not like the stuff in can from the hardware store. Have to see it to understand. Very forgiving and easy to clean up. Great results! Drafts are gone! Sound insulation is awesome. I'll be interested to see the electric bill savings but very happy so far. The only thing I was bummed about was the plugs that they put in my walls. They were not textured to the outside of my house and I was under the impression they would match. Not a huge deal once painted but noticeable. Gove them a shot. Not the answer for everyone but sure worked great for us! read more

My initial experience with this company was impressive. Jeff, the estimator, was quite friendly and flexible (had emergency surgery the day of the first estimate and missed their appointment, but he called, left a voicemail, waited until I gave a response, and he immediately was understanding of the situation, just unbelievably kind and patient). The actual estimate was an easy process, and Jeff explained things thoroughly, in a friendly manner. Price can be steep, but for the supposed future energy bill decrease and sound dampening, it believed it would be worth it. We set a date for installation, and the team made quick work of it. I was told it would take two days, and they finished in one. It does leave a lot of dust and debris around the house, so I hired a cleaning team to come in after and get my house back in order. We had discussed insulating a bathroom that was overlooked on the first install day, so they returned a week later to fill that. I was at a conference at the time, but we arranged that when the team arrived and left, they would notify me, and I would unlock/lock the doors for them. They came in, insulated from the inside (I was told they would work on the exterior of the bathroom, so I had the outside prepped for this, but I imagine it should work the same as the interior injection). The team notified me that they were done and that I could lock the door. I locked it immediately from my phone, it said it locked fine, no jamming, and I continued my meetings. Later, I kept getting movement notifications on my front door camera. Thinking it was just the usual mailman or wind in the landscape throughout the day, I didn't think much of it. The videos at first were not registering anything, but I kept getting a funny feeling, so I left the conference and checked on the house. Turns out, my front door was WIDE OPEN the past 7+ hours. I shut the door and had the police tour my house with me to make sure no one was hiding anywhere. Luckily, nothing was stolen, but the wind had blown in a ton of leaves and debris, and my house was frigid; my pet bird was cowering in his cage from the cold. I informed Rocky Mountain Retrofoam of the incident and was contacted by the owner the next day, who apologized for the stupidity of whoever worked that day, but no confirmation of education being provided to those employees to not allow this to happen again. After the police confirmed my house was safe, and I confirmed my bird was going to be ok, I returned to the conference. The next day was an all-day snowstorm; I shudder to think of the state my house would have been in had that door remained open for the next 3 days I was to be at the conference, from weather and/or random people walking by an open house. They already have my money, as they require full payment the day of installation, but I warn future customers to stay with them for their entire work appointment and confirm the project discussed is what ultimately gets done, as well as common sense things like making sure the door is closed when they leave. Or, just seek installation from another company. Overall, I give this company an average rating, because some aspects were good (Jeffrey and the scheduling coordinator), but some were well below average (attention to detail, professionalism, customer service, etc.). read more

We had a insulation install January '22. We didn't see any improvement in the heat situation after the install, despite having a brand new furnace and A/C installed last October. We contacted both Elkhorn Heating and Air (HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM) and they came out quickly to help us adjust settings to push more air upstairs. After doing everything short of begging Rocky Mountain Retro Foam to come out and help us address the flow issue it took 6 MONTHS for someone to come out. I was given excuses like "xcel rate hikes" and "differentials in the weather compared to last year" instead of being heard as a customer and regarded as such. When the owner, Chase, condescended to grace me with his presence, he wasted an hour of my time criticizing my choice of HVAC company for a furnace/ac install stating that they were a bad company and that probably had a hand in the poor circulation. Even though the Elkhorn was out within a week of my request to not only address the issue but do everything they could to make it right on their end. He then said my attic was not insulated and that will have an effect on the install, only to discover that it in fact WAS insulated correctly and admitted himself that could not account for the flow issue. He then took out his little heat gun and determined that his people DID indeed fill my ducts only to walk out without so much as a handshake. He wanted to come the next day to put a camera in the ducts to correctly diagnose where the clogs were, only to STAND ME UP without so much as a courtesy call. A week later his people then spent two days using MY TOOLS to break free the debris and leave a mess in my vents after asking me to repeatedly run my HVAC unit to verify flow to the vent. Don't waste your time or money. Sadly the people that work for him are great people with a lot of heart, I wish I could hire them myself. read more

Israel and his team are unlike any contractor I have worked with in the past. He was extremely kind, patient, communicative, timely, and did a great job insulating my barn. His prices are more than fair and were easily 50% less than four other companies I got quotes from. He even came back the next day after I found something I wanted changed and didn't charge me.
