This place took over the old Comfi Old Bridge location which recently closed. Those who remember Comfi will be pleasantly surprised to find that some of their menu items can be found on the Cafe's menu. I ordered one of my favorite Comfi dishes, the European Breakfast - scrambled eggs, kielbasa, bacon and onions served with home fries. I was not disappointed. The portion was huge and the meal just as flavorful. The staff is just as friendly as well. Also took home another favorite meal, the Polish Sampler - two huge potato pancakes, a good amount of pierogies and a nice helping of kielbasa. I was not disappointed. Small quiet, good background music, clean, and many locals. The restaurant name lives up to the actual experience. Came for breakfast, pleasantly surprised they had early bird specials. Fast attentive service, better than some larger places.. Eggs cooked perfectly. Pancakes with chocolate chips were good. I love everything I've tried but the breakfast sandwiches are top tier. Something as simple as eggs with cheese on a brioche roll is absolutely delicious. I also like the option to not have extras like napkins, utensils, condiments, etc., when ordering takeout. I never need them and it's so wasteful to be given them when not needed. read more

Still the brunch king. For the ones outside looking in, this establishment used to be called Comfi and it was a local favorite that moved to Belmar. Now the former Comfi staff restarted it under a new name and management. I have eaten there twice and I can relate with some of the common complaints seen from other reviewers. There was definitely a lot of friendliness but distraction among staff, and some of the food was not measuring up to the stratospheric standards set by the previous establishment. Personally and fairly I attribute this more with growing pains and restarting a restaurant after a months long hiatus. I had a word with a Cozy teammate and she attested that the impression is to stick with recipes that worked. Sticking with recipes that work really matter. The fan favorite among family and friends was the former space station, a stack of pancakes slathered with mascarpone cheese and topped with chopped nuts, blueberries, strawberries, powdered sugar and whipped cream. Simply put it is a modern marvel that introduces delicate flavors in yeoman's brunch. For the city slickers, I recommend this place for it's overall value. This could have easily been a premium priced thoroughfare. But in an effort to welcome locals, families and a great variety of blue collar guests, they have competitively priced all the savory and sweet dishes. There are healthy dishes, big burgers, scramblers, chicken and waffles and omelettes that are all worth trying once. If anything, this restaurant is the gold standard for my reviews of NYC restaurants. The value and mindset is hard to match and they respect the effort people take to make family brunches and dates possible. It is worth a visit and it is worth making the trip to Old Bridge and pouring it out into the local businesses nearby. I have brought friends from NYC and other areas of the US here. This place routinely leaves a memorable impression on all my friends and family. This is a good indication that this small town has something really special that even the big cities fail to replicate. read more

Waited 40 minutes to get in and then another almost 30 for our food to come. Had to ask the waitress where our order was. She claimed the kitchen was backed up. Miraculously, the food appeared minutes after we asked. Was it just sitting there? My food was hot but my wife's wasn't. On top of that, I get into a dispute with the waitress about their turkey sausage. Here's a tip. If your turkey sausage is made from kielbasa then mention it on the damn menu! Then the hostess has the nerve to come over and ask us what we said to our waitress because she was upset. We didn't say anything other than ask where our food was and what was the deal with their "turkey sausage". Had to inhale the food because we had somewhere to be for our daughter. I didn't give it a 4 star due to the fact that I don't understand how a brunch place has the most terrible coffee.. they don't have cappuccinos or lattes (which is fine) but the coffee is so bad, it taste like watered down dirt... instant coffee sucks but it's better than what they have... if they start giving customers packets of instant coffee, then maybe I'd order coffee again.. Food was out of this world, but the music in there was just so loud, the waitress must not have been able to hear my order correctly...twice! Then she got rude and proceed to tell me I was rude. First time back since the restaurant changed owners. 9am on a weekend and the place was empty, which took us by surprise because under the prior owners - it was a good hour wait for a table on the weekends. Our meals weren't very good. $15 for 12 small pierogies that resemble supermarket frozen pierogies is asking a lot. I struggled to finish an omelet that resembled a burrito - and I was hungry. The prices are on par with many other local places that do a much better job with the food and with better surroundings. Being friendly is one thing, but having full personal conversations when tables are ready for seating and many people waiting, is not a good idea. Went out for breakfast the other day with my wife. There's really not too many places in Old Bridge to go. Fiesta Breakfast is located exactly where the very popular Comfi was located. We went in not really knowing what to expect. The name suggests that it might be some sort of Spanish themed breakfast joint, but at the end of the day, breakfast is breakfast. What we got was everything that Comfi was. Pretty much the exact giant menu with many different options. Everything under the sun imaginable was there. My wife got French toast while I got a Nova Benedict. Sorry I didn't take pictures, but we both got gigantic plates with a crazy amount of delicious food. My eggs were cooked perfect and the combo of fresh lox, English muffins and potatoes was delicious. My wife really enjoyed her French toast. The only disappointing thing about the entire breakfast was that the restaurant was empty. You always had to wait to get into Comfi and this new place was basically the same thing and nobody was there. If you liked the prior place, definitely try to the new place out, don't be fooled by the name. It's the same delicious food. read more
